They bring out the most expensive pair of shoes first. After you have your child fitted, tell them what your are looking to spend. I told the employee my son liked blue and she brought out a 55.00 dollar pair which he, of course, fell in love with. When I told her we weren’t spending that much, she magically found a pair for $ 30.00. I understand business is business but I thought that move was pretty sneaky. We don’t have many options since my kiddo has wide feet so we still shop here, but now I know how to work with the employees.

This is the only store I will take my 2 year old daughter to for shoes. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. My daughter is hard to fit but they always have a nice selection of shoes to pick from. The prices are very fair. I checked the Stride Rite website and the price they charge is the exact same at McLinden’s.
