Food was ok with dried bread. Employees seemed to be more interested in their phone than customers. When questioned about the bill young girl behind the register is confused and visually irritated. She then send a young guy to my he counter who also doesn’t seem to know what’s going on and claims to be the store manager. I don’t believe I’ve encountered this much confusion, rudeness or disrespect in the way young people talk to customers. I will not be returning.

Two stars– because the staff was very friendly! But the subs, there is more bread then meat and the bread tastes very dried out. Lots of better sub places around town.

Far from being impressed. Apparently the staff rather gossip about the latest guy screwing them over and catching up on FB than actually doing their jobs. The subs are more bread than anything else and tastes like it was thawed out and reheated in a microwave.

The food is what you expect. It’s not great, but there is much worse.(I know, an odd way to start off a 5-star) I go to Tubby’s a lot because, while they may not be the«best», they are still a local/regional chain and that is important to me. The rest of the world can have their Subways and Jimmy Johns, and you know what, when I’m driving on some interstate in the middle of nowhere, they’re a good choice. But ’round these parts, I like to keep it local. Chain-wide, I think Tubby’s could do with better bread, which is really the weak link in the chain, and the menu could use a little updating. But as long as you stick to the basics, you should be OK. The 5 stars are for this specific location, particularly the woman who runs the place middays(she’s usually the only one there when I come in). Don’t know who she is, but she rocks. Great service, well-prepared food, always a pleasure to talk to while she’s cooking up your stuff. True customer service is a bit of a lost art form, but she gets it.

Left a bad experience over at Rosie O’Gradys, walked to Tubbys, very friendly lady named Lee wearing plastic gloves taking them on and off as she takes orders and begins cooking. Watched her wash hands before putting on a new pair of gloves to begin cooking again… my kind of place :) Since I was grossed out by Rosie’s I opted for cheese sticks only but they were the best darn cheese sticks I have tasted… yum. Will go back because the customer service experience was awesome and I loved Lee’s attitude.

This is my most favorite store in the entire chain. neat, fast and friendly. this is the location to come to. you can get in and out in 10 minutes with a hot and fresh sub. good boneless buffalo wings too.

Tubby’s has the best grilled subs ever. The bread is always soft and fresh. The veggies are also fresh and crisp. The meat is thinly sliced and delicious. I usually get the steak and cheese with no onions and extra dressing. I find it to be extra cheesy and delicious. I like that they offer not just 6 or 12 inch subs but an 8 inch for when you’re slightly more hungry than normal. Also as a Detroit staple most still offer Vernors. Pros: cheap subs, quality food, local business Cons: not nearly enough around, not a large seating area for inside dining.

For a fast food place, Tubby’s is 5 stars. The only thing that needs improvement is the seating in the dining room. It could be more comfortable. I LOVE the grilled subs. The food is better than what I have found at Subway and Quiznos. I miss the Batter Fried Mushrooms. I wish there was a Tubby’s near me.
