Ductz of DFW North

Just bought a house about a month ago, and my kids and I kept waking up with sore throats and allergy like symptoms. Finally decided to get ducts cleaned, these were the first people I called. Not being from Texas; I was informed there is often cases of mold in the coils of the unit and could spread. In my case, there was. The guys did a good job, and cleaned up after themselves somewhat (they’re not maids, they did what they had to) The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because it was a little pricey. I could’ve called around for more estimates but once I heard about mold, it freaked me out thinking my kids would be inhaling that another day. So all in all it was worth it.

We recently purchased a home where the prior owners had dogs and cats. We hoped that cleaning the air ducts with DUCTZ would eliminate some of the animal odor in the house, but it unfortunately didn’t help at all.
PROS:
–The technicians were very friendly.
–They cleaned up after themselves.
–They found some mold on the coils and eliminated it.
–They replaced the air filters (which I bought) and gave advice on what kind to buy and how often to change them out.
CONS:
–The price was almost $ 700 for a 2500 sq. ft. home; seems excessive for 3.5 hours of work.
–When the air is on, we still smell a potent odor coming from the vents which makes us question how thorough the cleaning was.
Overall, our experience with DUCTZ Dallas was average. Our recommendation is for consumers to speak to a couple different places and to get more than one quote before deciding on a duct cleaning service.

We had our ducts cleaned out after the purchase of our home. It’s a little bit of an older home and it seemed they had not been cleaned before. The owner (or manager maybe?) was very kind. Came by, gave a fair estimate, and we scheduled the work to be done.
The men working were excellent. Very kind, and let me know what to expect throughout the process. When they finished, one of the men showed me an issue he noticed related to my AC unit and drip pan. Took a photo of it to show me so that I would know what he’s talking about, and I was able to get the issue repaired before further damage occurred. This wasn’t even his area of repair and work but he was kind enough to let me know he saw a problem.
A few months later our dryer wasn’t heating so we had them come back out to clear out the dryer vent. When the dryer still wouldn’t heat well, they came again free of charge to ensure the vent was properly cleared (it was!) and let us know some tips on how to go about fixing the problem since it wasn’t a duct issue.
All in all a great company that I will definitely continue to use.
