Let me preface by saying I really hate leaving BAD reviews of places that are small businesses. I’d much rather unload on a soul-less chain. But I just. Cannot. I had heard this owner was super nice and all that, so I gave it a whirl. The place itself is in a strip and easy to find — very clean from the outside too. And clean entryway too. But that’s about all it has going for it. I wanted the $ 29 thirty-min foot massage. They took me into a room with 4 side by side massage beds and told me to lay face down. I was sort of confused, as all the foot-places I’ve been to are big comfy chairs. The table was not very comfortable — pretty hard. but that was the only option! The place had one other person there, just leaving — and it was DEATHLY quiet — I heard every word they said. Then she finally turned on the music. but it was not music. It was a SERMON. A christian sermon. I am a Christian woman. truly, I am. But listening to a sermon was not relaxing in the LEAST. Sin and corruption talk did not let me really relax in any sense. She then pokes the center of my foot super hard and I Unilocal.and she says ‘this your kidney! you detox! you know detox? you want detox?’ and I was like ‘um no? just a foot massage.’. she then starts patting me down from neck to butt(not part of the foot massage I signed up for!!!) saying ‘you get old. you tired… you used to be skinny, right? you used to be very skinny?’ And she said this 3 xs at least until I HAD to say ‘uh yes!’ to shut her the hell up. I wanted to say I’ve had THREE kids lady, so can it! But I didn’t. She does the kidney-poke again on my foot and I shook her off and told her that that was not relaxing and she got the point and walked away. The other lady rubbing my foot kept on, but it was not the greatest. Eventually the owner lady came back and did my other leg while the other lady did the other. It sucked. Having two different things done at the same time — one lady pulling and rubbing while the other was poking or whatever, just did not allow my brain to relax for one second. And the sermon kept on playing overhead… Once they were done, they didn’t help me up, or help me with my shoes, or anything. I was the only person there, too. I think they knew they pissed me off. Overall — I don’t think she knows WHAT she’s doing. And her lack of tact doesn’t help. She needs to visit Yaya foot place in Watauga– where the lighting is dim, the music is relaxing, they do not talk to you(*unless you engage THEM) and they stick to what you pay for.

I wanted to write another review for this outstanding massage shop following my last visit. I have been doing A LOT of computer work lately — something I don’t normally do — and sitting at a desk while typing and staring at a screen REALLY took it’s toll on my body. The proximal phalanx of my right thumb was badly swollen from typing, my Peroneal tendonitis in my left leg had flared up, and(oddly) my left knee was bothering me. In summary, my body was a wreck. Su Kei(I know I’m butchering the spelling), the owner, did an outstanding job of healing my aches and pains. Over the course of three 90 minute sessions, my knee and left leg are back to normal and the swelling in my right thumb is significantly better. The shop is immaculate, as are the linens on the massage table and everything else. The therapist is impeccably groomed and dressed, while also being attentive and well trained. I am not one of these people who think massage cures all ailments; but I strongly believe that non-traditional therapies, such as properly executed massage, can be an important part of overall wellness. J’s Happy Feet is THE place in Southlake for such treatment. As my earlier review stated, the name evokes an emphasis on acupressure massage, but my sessions have always consisted of a full body massage with acupressure or deep tissue work on my problem areas. I highly recommend this shop and therapist!

I’m not one to go out and get a massage that often, but out of the 10 or so that I have had in my life, this was truly the best. I enjoyed the overall atmosphere as well as the massage. I have already recommended a couple of people from work to them.

Best massage ever! Had major pain from carrying my 20 lb. baby and had many massages around Southlake and Keller, but this was by far the best. They use a unique technique that is way different than a traditional massage. I would highly recommend trying them out.
