The Container Store

I was ready to purchase about $ 300 worth of merchandise when I was told by one of the employees that I couldn’t purchase 2 of the Elfa drawers off of their display. There were many similar displays in place. The absence of 2 drawers didn’t seem like a big deal to me. I was ready to order the drawers online and they told me they didn’t know when those drawers would be available. I’m disappointed with today’s customer service. I expected friendlier service and for the sales people to go above and beyond-​like they do at other locations.

I feel like I finally entered adulthood and the container store is my new favorite place!
I came in today for a mesh laundry bag. Sue the team member who helped was delightful and gave me some great laundry tips! Thanks Sue! I could spend $$$$ and hours in the container store!

This place is like IKEA and Office Depot had a baby, with an uncle from Crate & Barrel. People have been telling me ever since I moved to Texas how great this store is, and so today I decided to check it out. It’s a store focused around storage, with a little bit of flair thrown in. Check out their crazy-​large selection of trash barrels. Their minimialist yet stylish bookshelves. The travel section has everything you need to board a plane — not only hipster items but also plain ol’ ziploc quart size bags. There’s a multitude of unique space-​saving yet stylish items as well; hooks and clips and clamps and shelves and buckets and baskets. Great store to pick up stuff for your home — or maybe you want to put together a housewarming gift? Thumbs up from me!

Who doesn’t love the container store? The sales associates are pleasant; you can tell they like their jobs and the company is rated one of the top 100 places to work in the US.
For this visit, I went in to buy some plastic containers for my travel, oh man do they have a selection. This is the pace to go when you need to purchase your little bottles for every little thing you want to take with you on a trip… As usual I go in for one thing and walked out with the item on my list but also something I did not know I needed or shall I say wanted. I walked past a display for a makeup mirror and it lit up as I walked by. Yes, it caught my attention. It was battery operated (rechargeable-​Simple Human Sensor) and turned on once you were in front of it. Now you guys will not understand this but us women get it. I have owed a makeup mirrors since they came out many years ago, but this one takes the cake as it as you do not have to worry about having an electrical plug close by and the magnification is just right to see all the flaws and little hairs on my face that I want to remove. Now I know I want one and guess what they were out of stock!!! Not Happy!!! But this is what I love about the Container Store, I went to the register and they ordered it for me and let me know when it would arrive. I went in to get it and now I am a happy camper when I put my makeup on… Love it! Great Customer Service!!!
I have also purchased their customer shelving units for my kitchen and closets and it is so easy to install and configure. These racks and shelving units are made to hold massive amount of weight, trust me I have given them the test as my closet is packed. You never have to worry about the shelves falling down, now if only they could do something about adding more square feet to my closet.
I will say that at this location they are limited on parking space as there is allot of construction, not «The Container Store’s» fault but it is now kind of inconvenient to shop at this location now…:-/.

Pricey, but cool. Whenever I’m looking for a container, be it special and/​or cool, I’ll usually end up at TCS. I’ll check out less expensive alternatives first, but it’s hard to beat the selection and variety here. I’m very impressed with the elfa system, which does seem to be the heart of the store. Definitely a fun store to browse and chances are you will find a container for something you did not even know needed a container. Selection of products for storing nick nacks and other family treasures is good too.
