I purchased a groupon and visited the Salt Cave for the first time yesterday. I really enjoyed the experience. There are several services you can participate in — salt yoga, salt bed, and relaxation room. There is also a kids club for children who need salt therapy. I chose the relaxation room which is seven beds in a salt room for a 45 minute session. Upon arrival I was given a tour and offered a beverage(water, wine, or mimosas). The session started promptly at 1 and once the doors are closed you cannot leave as you will disturb others. There is calming music but you can also hear a humidifier or some machine along the far wall, so although using electronics was discouraged I put my phone screen on dim and turned on my own music to drown out both sounds. You are given a warm neck pillow and a blanket and most seemed to sleep for the session. I didnt fall asleep as I certainly would have disturbed the other guests with my snoring(lol). Towards the end of the session I started to feel a little dried out and could taste salt on my lips. I also noticed people brushing off their bags and purses so maybe a salt mixture was being sprayed into the room as well. I would strongly recommend skipping the adult beverage and opting for water until this is something you are comfortable with. At the reception desk there is a chart that lets you know how many sessions are recommended to cure your particular ailment. For Sinusitis it is about 3 – 5. For Chronic Bronchitis it is about 12 – 15. If you have eczema or psoriasis it is recommended that you do the private salt bed where you can remove clothing and target specific body parts. After one session I didn’t feel an immediate difference, but the next morning I did wake up more congested than usual. I often have sinusitis and other breathing ailments so I feel there would be many benefits to using this service on a regular basis to cleanse the breathing channels naturally. The Salt Cave is currently offering a $ 10 introductory session and they have a Christmas special going on which is $ 70 per month(unlimited sessions) for a 12 month contract. I would consider signing up for the membership but this is a stand alone business(not a chain) and I travel A LOT so my schedule does not allow me to use it as often as I would need or like. In any case, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who deals with breathing problems. I’m an advocate of holistic healing as opposed to constantly pumping the body full of chemicals and salt therapy could be a great way to naturally cure several ailments.

I love this place and visited 3 times this week! So far I’ve spent a session in the relaxation room, taken a salty yoga class, and brought my kids for Kid Cave session and loved it all! I think the yoga class could be a little saltier but other than that it was really nice and I feel great. The Kid Cave is probably my favorite though because it’s like a giant sand nox/play room filled with pink Himalayan rock salt and the salt is being pumped through the vents. It’s a unique, fun, and healthy experience for the kids so I think it will become a regular spot for our family.

This place is one of a kind. The concept and set up was great. It’s free your first time and I thought it was an amazing experience. Before you walk into the room, you get a tour then you get to choose a chair in the relaxation salt room. The chairs were very comfortable, the blankets were soft and cozy, and the lighting made you fall asleep, which is great to nap in the middle of the day. The only thing is that when you’re done you have a cloud of salt all over you! But it’s worth the experience.

The Relax Cave is a relaxing and therapeutic experience. Yes, DO take them up on the wine, it’s decent wine! Sit back, breathe deeply & enjoy! The salt room(relax cave) is decorated sensibly as it is halotherapy– the salt lights are beautiful. It’s not over the top like some south lake establishments tend to be! The fluffy blankets are great for the cuddle factor –and the lavender scented warm neck roll provides an added relaxing touch. They have lavender eye pillows as well, if you want to take a snooze! The employees –and patrons I’ve met are super awesome! Very friendly people come here. I’ve enjoyed the Salt Cave so much I bought the yearly membership. One thing I want to be sure to mention before I wrap up my review— if u do try it out, PLEASE don’t snore! And leave the talking outside the relax cave. That’s really annoying to the rest of us. I’ve not gone to the Yoga Cave yet! But I plan to do so soon! It can only be awesome!

I wanted to start doing yoga more than my gym offers and found that the Salt Cave offers 4 classes daily. Two in the morning and two in the evening. After one free yoga session with Susan I was hooked and bought a monthly unlimited use pass. Worth every penny! With a spa-like feel, specialized attention and outstanding customer service I leave every time with a smile on my face. She changes up the routine and music so it is never the same class week after week. Susan offers essential oils at the beginning of class to help you relax and usually ends the class with a natural pain relieving gel which she massages on your shoulders or lower back. Bottled water and all your mats, props etc. are provided and they even clean up after you. I feel so pampered afterward. There are other instructors too, that I am sure are equally wonderful, but I have only gone to Susan’s classes because they work best with my schedule. I have been going several times a week for about three weeks now and can see the health benefits. Not only has the salt improved my skin(it feels so soft), all that nasty congestion and allergies I have been dealing with for months are completely gone. Additionally, I can tell my stress levels are way down and I am much more patient and generally feel happier overall. The classes are small and intimate. No pressure to be a yoga diva. Everyone is at different levels and I’ve never felt like I was judged when I needed to modify a pose. Love, Love, Love this place!!!

We found this place on Groupon and decided to give it a try. When looking at the website trying to figure out what it was going to be exactly and what to wear or if there was anything we should bring with us, I saw that they offer your first session free, but we had already bought our Groupon sessions, so i thought«oh well», but when we arrived Hillary told us that our first session was free and she activated our Groupon sessions so that they are good whenever we wamt to go back and will not expire like they would thrpugh Groupon. Then she toured us around the facility showing us the salt yoga room, the salt bed, the kid’s cave, and the relax cave that we were going to be in. She explained all of the potential benefits that salt therapy can have, from respiratory issues to skin conditions. Yoga and relax sessions begin right on the hour, every hour, and last 45 minutes. The bed is used in 15 minute sessions. They pump very fine Himilayan salt into the air and you just lay there and relax and breathe it in. They have lavender or regular eye masks and warm soft blankets available. All in all, it was a very different and neat experience and we plan on going back.
