I stop here on my way to work, I’m always greeted warmly and we usually laugh about something. Great way to start my day! The food is really good, fresh and made daily, not to mention the coffee. But lets talk about it anyway ;) I don’t know how they can make it taste that good… The owners and staff are simply wonderful and it has to be one of the cleanest deli’s I have ever been in. If you are looking for a new place to stop look no further!!!

Nice solid deli here in Southold. Always makes great sandwiches and wraps, no matter what you get. They have a nice selection of stuff, and it’s nice and fresh. A little on the pricey side, but worth it, especially for those lovely summer beach day picnics.

Just placed a 2nd catering order for a family luncheon. Michelle was extremely accommodating. The place is clean with great selections and reasonably priced. I am grateful for The Grateful Deli

What is the best thing about Grateful Deli? It’s a serious competition between the food and the service. The food is just delicious. Egg sandwiches, wraps, salads. YUMMY! The people who work there are just so friendly. It’s always a treat to stop at this place because I know that I’ll leave smiling and with a full belly! Definitely take a trip to Grateful Deli and see for yourself… So glad that my sister suggested this place!!! My new favorite.

I’ll admit. We’d had a couple glasses of wine at neighboring vineyards, arrived just a little tipsy and starving. The owners are so incredibly nice, and I ordered a Philly steak wrap, a bag chips and a giant(much needed) bottle of water. My wrap was piping hot and delicious. Service is fast and very friendly. What a lifesaver!

I can’t tell what I like more, their chicken reuben wrap or the people serving it. The folks running this place are so friendly and sweet, I might almost forget how amazing the wraps are. Well, specifically this one wrap because I’ve never ordered anything else– but it’s got grilled chicken, bacon, tomato, coleslaw and thousand island dressing. I love it so much I called in advance to order 2– one for lunch and one for the road, except the second one only lasted another hour until I ate it. :( But apart from chicken reuben wrhapsodies(eh?) it’s a cute deli with fun and great food!

If you are heading out on the boat or out to the beach and are on the run, this is the deli for you. They are always friendly and the service is lightening fast. The sandwich selections are creative and offer everything you can imagine. They offer salads, wraps, baked goods and a wide range of beverages. If you need to grab a lunch as you explore the activities on the North Fork, this is a must s

Sunday morning big breakfast is a staple for the boyfriend and I. The past few weeks, our first pick Bonnie Jean’s has been packed. Rather than waiting this week, we went across the street to the Grateful Deli. Knowing that it wasn’t sit-down service, we didn’t have high expectations but even the low expectations were not meet. Upon entering, you could see there was no organization as to who was ordering, where the line was, who was waiting for food, who was paid. Just confusion everywhere. After we did order a simple order of: HECSPK for me, and pancakes and sides for him and his brother, we sat at a table.(good that they do have a few table there to sit). My sandwich came out right away. I was impressed how fast it came out, but I feel it should have come out with the guys’ breakfast. Basic HEC on a roll. Nothing impressive — but not judging, that’s all I asked for. I waited to eat with the guys. Almost 10 minutes later, their food came out. Orders mixed up. Wrong meats with wrong pancakes, ect. When they told the lady, she just looked at them. Didn’t offer to take it back and switch it or bring new. Nothing. Just looked at the guys. They switched their own food. None of the food was impressive. My big reason for discontent is in my lackluster sandwich is when I opened it to put my ketchup on it, there was a pieces of what I think was perhaps OVER fried bacon on my sandwich. Which was clearly visible to whoever made my sandwich but just ignored. I stopped eating. I would like to have had a different experience, especially after others gave it such good reviews. It would take a LOT of convincing from the boy to go back. & not for breakfast.

Really good deli. Very creative sandwiches + old stand-by’s(sp?). Nice, friendly. Great place to stop before heading out to wineries. Small number of tables; better for take out.

A very good deli and a trip I always look forward to making when I am in LI. A nice mid day break from laying out. Not a typical deli, the sandwiches for lack of a better term just seem«fancier», but in a hmm this is unexpected & nice way. Never pretentious of course… The staff are so nice and friendly and the place is very clean. Worth a trip to try something new. Wayside Deli is right across the street. Which, you may think ahh competition! Gasp! Although they are both deli’s, I really think they are different and each are great in their own was. Grateful Deli is a slightly more upscale deli, offering something completely different the Wayside.

It was a blistery-cold Thursday January morning on the East end and I was in the mood for a honkerin’ egg sandwich prior to the 730a Orient Point Ferry departure. The locals told me to go here and so I did… I ordered 2 eggs, tomato, grilled chicken with salt and pepper on wheat toast. It was just«eh» — the sandwich looked kinda disappointing and thin, the grilled chicken was in tiny cubes that reminds you of the ones you scoop in to your salad at the Sizzler salad bar and overall, it was just blah. Next time I’ll go back to the Piping Plover Café just down the road… THIS has been a review by Gaurav

This place is ridiculously awesome for the North Fork. It’s a few notches up from what we’re accustomed to at local deli’s. Like, avocado? Seriously? They are also quick and friendly. Woo!

BEST. HASHBROWNS. EVER. Oh, and the bacon egg and cheese wasn’t too shabby either. I’ll be back this summer, again and again and again!
