Broward Pet Sitting

We have been utilizing Broward Pet Sitting for a couple of years. Nyla and her family always treat Sparky like family. When we drop him off, he gets so excited and happy to see them he leaps out of our arms to them. Nyla always sends us photos of Sparky playing with his friends in the yard and generally having a great time. We love the fact that we have someone we can leave him with that feels like a second home.

Great cat sitting services! I have been using their services for almost a year for my special needs kitty and they always follow my ever changing list of instructions while I am away on travel. The sitters clean the litter box and give my kitty lots of love and attention. The sitters send me reports with photos and Nyla is always readily available over text. I also really like the convenience of scheduling appointments and paying online. I recommend Stacee or Marrisa for cat sitting. I truly think they love my kitty as much as I do! And I love that Stacee always gives great advice when it comes to caring for special needs cats.

They are wonderful. My job requires portions of long term travel. I have cats, but I leave for more than a week at a time and it’s just a little too long to not clean their box and I’m always worried about leaving enough food.
They come in, take care of them for about an hour, and clean up the litter. The cats are fed and even played with. They update me each day with pictures and a description of the visit. I know they are only cats but this makes me feel better. They will even water plants or do other small fixes while babysitting.
Their service is outstanding and you can create appointments and visits on their website. Will always recommend.

We used Broward Pet sitting again the end of April. Our puppy was very happy when I dropped her off and picked her up. She stayed 5 nights. I will use Broward Pet Sitting again.

I am so happy to have found Broward Pet Sitting! Being an anxious dog mom, I find it hard leaving my fur baby with anyone! I found Nyla through Unilocal and am so happy I did! She took care of my dog and sent me daily messages and pictures to keep me connected and updated. I can always tell if my dog had a good time somewhere and was treated well by the way he acts when I pick him up, and he looked as happy as could be! He even got a goodbye bath before he left! Thank you Nyla for taking such good care of my baby… I was nervous at first but now I feel so reassured that I have someone to count on who will love an care for my dog as I would myself!!! Thanks a million!

I’ve been using Broward Pet sitters for about a year since we travel often.
The first time we used them, we had two elderly dogs and a cat. One was disabled and could not walk. BPS suggested petsitting in our home instead of theirs which we prefer. They sent a man out who could lift and hold our 50lbs dog while she did her business. He sent pictures of their activities and all was well.
The second time I used them, both of our elderly dogs had died and we had two new dogs. Because the one dog still had kennel cough from her days at the shelter, it was recommended to pet sit in our home again. They did send out someone who is a cat lover and fell in love with our cat. Because the dogs were new, the cat had voluntarily moved into our garage. Cat lover pet sitter decided to do an interaction with the dogs and cat and apparently it didn’t go well. No injuries, but it did concern us that someone would do an interaction without us being present.
Third time, Nyla did the pet sitting herself in our home. She was concerned about our fence having too many gaps and the dogs escaping, so she walked them around the neighborhood. She awesomely scolded my neighbor who lets his dog out into the street to poop and chase people. I don’t know what she told him, but when we got back that dog was on a leash and not terrorizing others anymore. All went well.
I trust Broward Pet sitting. I have a gated community who calls me when anyone visits and I have cameras inside and outside of my home. I know who’s coming and going and I know whats going on inside the house. All has been fine.
I have two more pet sitting visits scheduled for the next month and I have full confidence that all will be well.
BTW, if you’re wondering about that cat, after about 6 weeks he finally decided to move back into the house. He loves to chase and scratch the dogs on their noses and the dogs love to chase him around too. Its all good fun. :)

We love Broward Pet Sitting! We have been leaving Oliver with Nyla for over a year now. We have left him for weeks at a time and he is as happy there as he is at home with us. Nyla even makes sure Oliver eats despite his picky eating habits. Would recommend to friends with furry friends :)

Our dogs are our family, so when my husband and I were moving to South Florida the first thing I did was find «Day Care» for Abby as she has anxiety if left alone for too long. It was a pleasure to be able to leave her at Broward Pet Sitting while I house hunted, sometimes all day and sometimes for just a couple hours. Always when I pick her up she reflects joy and satisfaction from her visit. We now live in South Florida and we adopted her sister, Carlee, in November and we have had several instances for Nyla to care for both our girls. When I drop them off, Abby excitedly leads the way to the backyard with whoever is there to greet them. And today I just picked them up again after a weekend stay and it makes me smile to see them so worn out from enjoying their stay and playing with the other dogs. Whether we are working or on vacation, it is a comfort to us to know they are cared for so well. And it’s a bonus to receive pictures of them having fun!
In the beginning I did search around and checked out several other options for dog care, but Nyla and her team of helpers are the best” home away from home” for our girls. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful service for our Abby & Carlee. They look forward to every visit and they get very excited when I start filling their backpack… they know.

I adopted Benji, a Bichon mix, 1 year ago. He was rescued from a hoarding situation and it seems he was not properly socialized with people. He’s okay with other dogs, but very shy with humans. He starts shaking the first time he meets strangers and has difficulty trusting people. It even took him a good 2 months before he let me pet him without retreating.
It was important for me to find a dog sitter whom both my dog and I can trust. Enter Broward Pet Sitting/​Nyla.
She first conducted an assessment of my pet at my home. The assessment goes both ways as it allows both parties to see if it’s a good match. Needless to say, Benji started shaking the first time he met Nyla. But she has a very gentle and calm spirit about her that my dog responded well to.
The first time I brought Benji to Nyla’s, she gave me a tour of her house: Benji’s sleeping quarters (they will not be in crates, but open areas with sectional dividers separating the dogs) and a huge backyard where dogs run and play 2 – 3 times a day. She sent pictures of my dog every now and then while he was there. He always gets a complimentary bath before I pick him up because of all the fun he gets under the sun. He also gets a lot of play time with other dogs which really helps him socialize more. The 2^nd time I boarded Benji and picked him up, he even approached Nyla as his way of saying goodbye, which says a lot about my dog trusting Nyla.
After 3 months of using Nyla’s dog sitting services due to frequent travels, I am still very satisfied with how she treats and loves my little critter just like her own. There may be some critics out there but I can only speak from my experience and Nyla/​Broward Pet Sitting still comes highly recommended in my book.

I have used BPS and Nyla for a while now. I travel on average of 10 to 15 days a month for work and have NEVER had an issue. My dog doesn’t ever look back at me when I drop her off, she runs into their house, she can’t wait to go to ‘camp’. Nyla and her husband are such caring and loving people. I feel so good about establishing my partnership with them. One time I miscounted food servings for my pet and Nyla noticed, called me and asked what type of food she ate and went out and bought it for her!!! That is someone who loves and handles a pet like they are her own. Don’t judge them on one incident, there are always extenuating circumstances and two sides to every story. Certainly Candy is entitled to hers as well. These people are GOOD people. South Florida needs more people who behave with integrity and authenticity.

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE «UNRECOMMENDED» REVIEWS where they’ve conveniently gotten the bad ones to be hidden by Unilocal.My Shih Tzus were boarded there July 2014, before the Candie incident, and one was given back to me with her collar in the tote bag. This, after me telling her I didn’t want the collars removed. When I inquired, Nyla didn’t explain but immediately texted me that my dogs were not a good fit for her family or business since one (the one without the collar) was afraid during the thunderstorm and she was up with the dog. Maybe she barked and Nyla put the shock collar on her to quiet her so didn’t like me inquiring. Read all the UNRECOMMENDED REVIEWS. I no longer trust her. And the review by Staysee A — she’s an employee. That alone should tell you all you need to know about their policy of shock collar usage.

This is Haley and Nutmeg’s second home. I’ve used Broward pet sitting for the last two years almost every month. Super convenient and an opportunity for them to hang out with their canine buddies for the days I must travel.
Nyla and Bob are always there to take care of the two and the dogs definitely enjoy their time there. Nutmeg just had surgery and needed a little TLC and to take her pill regularly. Not an issue for them (and today she gets her stitches out).Looks like they’ll be visiting shortly.

I needed a dog sitter close to home that would take care of my puppy while I was at work. I located Broward Pet Sitting online and read the reviews… they seemed good. I liked that they offered a variety of services. I started with day care. Bailey seemed to enjoy it… always happy to see Nyla and her husband.
One day while picking her up, her husband tells me that we’re not welcome anymore because Bailey is whining/​barking and waking up the children. What? When did this issue begin and why was I not told about this right away? Nyla was always telling me how great Bailey was, so I was shocked that all of sudden my puppy considered a nuisance!
Eventually, she returned to Nyla’s house for day care. I felt that I had limited options since Bailey was still young and I worked long hours. Looking back, I should have found another sitter, but she seemed happy going there.
In October I had to go out of town so I boarded her with Nyla. I received pictures… Bailey was having a great time while I was gone. I picked her up right from the airport… I was so happy to see her. She was quiet… happy to see me, but very calm. I thought that was strange. Outside Nyla’s house, she had a bit of green stuff around her nose. Nyla said it was nothing. I went home.
That night, she was still pretty quiet. Around 1am, she was vomiting in her crate, shaking and really warm. I called the vet and was told to rush her in. They kept her for two days… diagnosis was kennel cough and pneumonia. I was devastated. It took her about a month to recover. I only cared that she got better but it was over $ 1500 in medical bills.
Nyla tried to place blame elsewhere. She didn’t even consider the fact that it could have been her home; the home that I hadn’t been inside of for months. How do I know you kept the house clean? I didn’t fight back though, it wasn’t worth the battle with her. She would never take any kind of responsibility anyways. I should have known better than to trust her after that.
I switched to home visits; Bailey was still too young to be by herself all day. They didn’t always close her crate properly and I’d come home to her being loose in the house. My dog was blamed… apparently she could magically open doors. Your employees could never make a mistake, right?
Hindsight is always ²⁰⁄₂₀. I should have stopped going there sooner. I always felt that if you cared about animals as much as you claim, you would have taken some responsibility for all the challenges I experienced.
I will never do business with Broward Pet Sitting again and I will continue to tell everyone I know to avoid Broward Pet Sitting as well. I’m sorry that I didn’t post a review sooner. I should have done it for Bailey and all the other families that could have avoided Broward Pet Sitting if I had. I take responsibility for that. Now, maybe Broward Pet Sitting should take responsibility for their actions.

Even now from Nyla’s response, she says they don’t use shock/​bark collars.
How can she deny it being used when the injuries are clear and verified by a veterinarian that she took the dog to?
My dog definitely did not acquire the injuries on her own or from the other dogs. Furthermore, she must have left it on for several days and she even admitted to have not checked on it !!! My dog’s behavior is not unusual of a dog. While she claims my dog’s behaving badly, she still has NO RIGHTS to make these choices on her own! Especially to the use of potentially harmful methods and resulting in harm to my dog– regardless of what the intentions or reasons. She still needs consent!
She’s in the business to care for animals. This is supposed to be a professional service and they should’ve have taken professional actions at all times for all situations. To add to it, she made the choice to use a bark collar without my consent and knowledge. She continued to lie to me, and even lied to the veterinarian about my contact information, until she couldn’t anymore when she had to return my dog.
WHAT’S YOUR EXPLANATION FOR RETURNING MY DOG BACK TO ME WITH SEVERE INJURIES? Caused by you using a bark collar. Again without my approval.
And How can she say you are sorry and apologize when you continue to deny the truth that YOU used a bark shock collar on my dog? Instead you’re just sorry it happened. (Maybe it’s because you got caught using bark collar without owners’ consent).
Bark collars are essentially a type of shock collars.
Your other reviews say fantastic things and I thought that too when I used your service for my two dogs the first time… Except this time my dog came back to me with severe injuries. Imagine my disappointment when I realize it’s all just a façade.
What have you done to correct your wrongful actions???
–You still charged me for your service for hurting my dog; who knows what you did to my second dog that I don’t know about because no physical injuries can be seen;
–you harassed me to not tell the truth rather than to genuinely check on how my dog is doing;
–what have you offered for the long term emotional/​behavior effects you may have caused my dog to have? While my dog physical wounds have healed, her emotional wounds may not have.
It’s impossible to fully trust what happens behind the doors when we leave our pets. We don’t truly know what happens. If you’re «lucky» maybe you find out like I did with evidence that can’t be hidden.
Save your apologies for when you truly mean it. Your actions are not reflective of your words of remorse for your wrongdoings. You may be a caring person but your practice of using bark/​shock collars without the owners’s knowledge or consent to create the illusion you have a quiet & well managed pet boarding/​day care is wrong and not acceptable. I really hope you discontinue the use of bark/​shock collars.

Nyla and Bob take great care of our two (big) dogs. We have boarded with them several times and the dogs are always happy and excited to go to their house. Bob (or Nyla) also walks our dog 3 – 4 times per week, because we work far from home and have long days. They do a great job. Bob always sends short (entertaining) notes on how the walk went, so I know the service happened and how it went. I really appreciate the care they always provide our animals and I trust them to come into our home and take care of our animals. Our dogs are (and always have been) like children to us, so we take their care very seriously. I have recommended Broward Pet Sitting to friends and I will continue to do so.

These folks are truly fantastic. Nyla and her crew do a wonderful job taking care of our 2 dogs every time we need to go out of town. We have had poor experiences with a previous dog boarder, but Broward Pet Sitting really is top notch.
Bosco and Emma always come home happy, and more importantly — are always happy to go stay with Nyla (we are frequent travelers).

My job requires me to travel frequently and I was so happy to find Nyla to care for my pets while I am away. I have to call it «spa» treatment and my 2 Doxies absolutely love it when they get to stay with her. I have complete peace of mind as I know they are well taken care of, have space to run and play in the «home» environment. Nyla also keeps me informed and sends me photos and I feel content as I see them so happy. I highly recommend Broward Pet Sitting.

Another great visit with Nyla. Princess was so happy and it was great to get the pictures of Princess while we were gone showing how she was having a great time. We knew this would be a great place for our girl from the moment we took the tour and did the interview for her to stay. The interview was very in depth and she emphasized how she liked to see the dogs socialized a bit before she agreed to board them to avoid taking on agressive dogs. It does happen and as docile as our Princess is, that was a big concern for me. We were so nervous the first time we took her, but Nyla was so patient and understanding with all of our questions and with letting us take the time to say goodbye. Now, Princess actually looks forward to her trips there. I have attached the pics of our girl that we got while we were away. She is the Beagle that looks like she likes food a bit too much! Thanks again Nyla for giving Princess a great vacation!

I don’t like to use the word boarding because my cat is not boarded, he goes on vacation here and is treated like he is part of the family. My fur baby is treated like a king and loves it. As soon as I drop him off he is relaxed and walking around his room.
