Had Dolphin carpet do a laminate floor for $ 3500. Looks good but when my handyman/carpenter came out after a year to tack/glue down a transition stripe that had popped up. He said it was MDF which is the absolutely cheapest stuff one could use plus the moisture barrier was improperly installed, not placed to the edge he said he should be able to see it. When I used Dolphin I did not know they used subcontractors. The sales person was nice, of course. Then when the installer came he said his helper called in sick and he would do the whole install himself. Should have know then he was going to cut corners but he showed at 9am and at 630pm I said you have to leave, I had to go out but he wanted to stay. I was moving in and not a lot of lighting. Had to call the boss to get him to come back the next day needless to say he wasn’t not happy. Definitely paid by the job. Hope the moisture barrier was installed properly.

Based on their Unilocal reputation, Dolphin was our third choice. We went to two big box stores first, and both took orders promising that they could have the carpet installed in time for our move — and both later said they would be late, forcing us to cancel the orders. With just 10 days left before our move, we went to Dolphin and asked, «Can you do this? For real?» They assured us they could. It ended up taking less time, actually — measurements happened the same day as the order, and 6 days later the carpet was installed. The quality was just as good (if not better) than what we had ordered from the other places, and the price essentially the same. From sales to installation, Dolphin was professional, careful and courteous. We don’t expect to need carpet again any time soon; but if we did, they’d be our first, not third, choice.
