This is by far my favorite place to shop. Not sure if they are organic, i would guess not but they have the best selection on flowers, herbs and plants. For years i have been buying one David Austin rose bush from here at this point we have 8 that are doing great all with a distinct color and aroma. You can get 6-packs for $ 1 and large herb pots for $ 3 each. Fruit bushes are more but do really well in the area, i wouldn’t buy blueberries here and bring to NH or Canada though. I have had no luck with the raspberry bushes but admittedly have no idea what i am doing. There is a zoo of people that work here. All sales are cash or check.

Always a fun day at Meadowview! So many flowers, veggies, fruit and more. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and always gives a smile, you can tell they love what they do and the joy they bring to all who shop. We love making an afternoon of it and slowly going through the large selections of whatever your heart desires.

PUREMAGIC. Meadowview Farm is a lush, fragrant wonderland of every flower and plant imaginable — all at fantastic prices. I was lucky enough to stop in with a landscape designer friend while she shopped for some local clients, so I was left to my own devices, free to wander the aisles and aisles of herbs, flowers, succulents, hanging plants, and veggie/fruit plants. I never understood why my friend scolded me for buying plants at Home Depot until coming here. I GETITNOW! Cash/check only though — no cards! Even though the line wrapped around the entire market, I’ve never seen such happy chatty customers anywhere. And the line moved fast with the efficient staff manning the registers. I would never have known this place existed but now I can’t wait to go back!

I’m addicted to Meadowview. No, really. Their spring time flowers are abundant and healthy. In the fall you just cannot beat the price or massive size of their mums. Pumpkins are the best price anywhere. Staff is friendly — lines can be long but they move so fast! Bring cash or a check with ID, no credit cards. Worth a trip, even if you have to drive an hour. Parking lot will be packed but it’s so worth the crowds. Very, very affordable for the high quality.

This place is a hidden gem for all vegetable, fruit and flower gardeners. The prices are great — the have volume discounts if you purchase a certain amount of the annuals and food type annuals. I have six raised garden beds and every year I shop Meadowview for my tomatoes, scallions, beans and herbs. I have purchased strawberry plants, asparagus and oregano(all perennials) in the past and no matter how hard of a winter we had they come back — every year! I have about a ½ dozen flower beds, most are perennials purchased from Meadowview and I mix in begonias, petunias, potato vine, asters and many others for the pops of color. As with any vendor I have had plants that didn’t thrive but something can definitely be said about the lushness and health of their plants. I picked up 2 huge — 3 feet wide 2 feet tall — tomato plants with tomatoes already going(early June) for $ 7.99 each. I have had so many tomatoes I made stuffed tomatoes, froze 5 servings of homemade tomato sauce, many, many salads and just plain cutting up tomatoes to eat from these 2 plants and the summer isn’t over yet! I generally shop 3 or 4 times in their spring/summer season(their prices are so good that even a full cart doesn’t break the bank), they close for the summer and open again in the fall for mums and lots of fall decorations. Towards the very end of their spring/summer season(usually just before July 4th) they mark down most of their annuals but don’t expect to find any perennials left. Yes it is cash and check only, no cards. I find the best time to shop is during the week, especially if the weather looks a little iffy. Anywhere near Mother’s Day and the parking lot and store becomes PACKED, seasonably warm weekends also! They have a small building near the checkout lane where there are tables, beverages and cookies to sit down and relax. They also always have big tubs of candy at the registers and pens with their business name on them that they actually encourage you to take. With Meadowview they go all out with the small, personal touches that makes shopping with them an enjoyable experience.

What an amazing spot! Everything here looks healthier than anywhere else in comparison. Whether you are looking for Vegetable plants, herbs, annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, or hanging baskets — you cannot go wrong! Come early in the season to get the best selection. Come at the end of the season and get some real bargains. Don’t fear the sometimes massive lines. The ladies at the registers CRUSH these lines. Only thing that drives me crazy. CASHCASHCASHCASHONLY! No credit, no debit, no checks, no promises.

I have just started gardening the past two years with my best friend and his family. Taking after these seasoned pros that have the«Green thumb» we were on a mission to fill in the remaining space in our vegetable garden, and flower gardens around the pool, pergola, and driveway! Conveniently we went during a sale, these already moderately priced beauties were anywhere from 20−50% off. From seeds to spices to fully developed tomato and hot pepper plants(low-high scoval units) and scores of flowers! Hanging, potted, small, large, colorful, pretty(not sure the technical names) but I can tell you it was hard to choose because they were all desirable! Clean, organized, and helpful workers can point you in the right direction of anything — when they’re not busy watering and potting plants! I was tagging along with the masters of the trade and from what I gathered Meadowview is only open for a short part of the year, and is well known. The place was packed when we went! Time to learn a lot about the earth… will definitely be back next year on my own when I become more acquainted with this hobby. Also CASHANDPERSONALCHECKSONLY.

Make the trip from Ct a few times during growing season. I’ve bought hanging plants to lemon trees and everything in between. All very healthy. Lemon tree is outside in the warmer weather and inside during the winter. Is bearing lemons this season. Really quite nice. I believe this nursery is cash only.

Granted, I don’t know a lot about plants and flowers and hanging baskets. I can’t tell the difference between a perennial and an annual from 2 paces away. But I do know this, if I’m ever on a mission to make the lawn look pretty, I want a place that has a lot of selections, good pricing, a friendly helpful staff, and top quality gorgeous merchandise. A place just like Meadowview Farm. You will absolutely be blown out of your gardening hat and gloves when you get a load of this place. It is huge, I mean seriously huge. Endless row after row of tables holding flats and pots of some of the most vibrant colorful flora known to man. And if you look upward, you’ll see a similarly impressive display of hanging flower pots offering more color for you to behold. If you get dizzy from sensory over-stimulation, stay away from Meadowview, because the sights and smells of the goods is intoxicating. Tons of stuff inside. Tons of stuff outside. A really nice checkout system where you wheel your cart to a register and get a fast double-team service where one person inventories and counts what you’re buying and tells the cashier who rings you up. Very efficient. Very fast. And to top it all off they have these huge jars of candy on the service counter where you can feast on lemon heads, tootsie rolls, and bubble gum. A beautiful and sweet experience in every sense of the word. Just bring cash or your checkbook — no credit cards!

I live in CT and make the treck to Meadowview Farms on a very frequent basis during the growing season. Not only do they offer fantastic items for the flower garden and landscaping needs, but they also offer a great selection of items for the vegetable garden. The staff at Meadowview are very familiar with the products they sell, as well, and have provided me with growing advice, specific suggestions for successful vegetable canning /sauces, suggestions for the lighting conditions and Ph of my soil, etc. In fact, my vegetable garden is at a community garden, where my tomatoes, from Meadowview, are the only ones left standing at the end of the growing season. How on earth they are so disease resistant to me is bewildering, but maybe it is because the plants my fellow growers purchased are from«big box» stores(Homedepot, etc) that have had problems in the past(blight, etc)? The plants at the nursery are grouped by lighting needs as well as the type of plants(herbs, flowers, vines, ground covers, annuals, perennials, vegetables, roots, etc). The flowering hanging baskets are a must-see as well… and they last throughout the growing season! This is a MUST stop for any novice gardener and expert gardener alike. Oh, and they sell fantastic pumpkins after the growing season is over, too. I’ve purchased them in large quantities for pumpkin carving parties and had wonderful success with the pumpkins. Wheelchair access is pretty decent — no stairs, but keep in mind this is an outdoor nursery(with covered portions as well). Surprisingly their bathroom is able to accommodate a wheelchair, too! Please stop in and say«hello» to Winston for me!
