Denny’s

The service was good that was about it. Also their French fries are not gluten free because they fry them in the same oil as everything else!

My family and I have been here several times. Every time we have had bad service or service that we had to wait longer than 20 min as in tonight, which we finally got up and walked out. We won’t be back again. We just drove to the Dennys at Pacific Ave and Hwy. 512 It was worth the drive! Offered a booth instead of forced to use a table. Then served immediately.. how nice.

Absolutely one of the best steaks in town. I recommend it to any and all steak lover’s. Oops, I let the cat out of the bag.

For a Denny’s this was a great experience. The server Matt was quick and friendly. The order was correct. Our food was hot. The restrooms were clean. My only suggestion is for them to dust the table chandelier.

The hostess and our waitress were nice, but it’s been a good half hour and our food hasn’t come out yet. The place isn’t that busy either. Kind of early for a review, but man I’m starving and this is taking way too long for a Denny’s. Let’s just hope the food turns out okay…

Three stars only because of Norma, every time we come here the service is terrible wait forever for drinks every time. Today Norma served us and was so delightful and happy and was very fast with everything. We will always be asking for her when we go back :)

Terrible. Have gone two times. First time was right after it opened. Food not very good. Tried again a couple of weeks ago, thinking it was just the new opening. After sitting for 15 minutes waiting to get our order taken with no result, we walked out. No one even noticed we were leaving. Worst Denny’s I have ever been in. Won’t be going again.

The hostess looked tired, the waitress we had seemed judgemental when I brought my granddaughter in just for a banana split, the new waitress put a eaten banana split on my table thinking it was my order, when my waitress brought my order I told her what had happened and she looked confused… the manager scolded my 2 year old granddaughter for touching the blinds to look out the window, and I waited for about 20 mins for my check and never got it… horrible service NEVER GOING BACK…

Pretty great place for a Denny’s but when things start to get busy they overload their waitresses to the point of self destruction. They need more front of the house staff, but the food’s perfectly fine.

Worst service ever. Told the waitress several times we had a five year old birthday boy with us. Guess they knew he didn’t have ID because we were charged for a practically cheese less cheese pizza. Refills were provided. Upon request. Until we were finished with our meal. You know… Close to tip time? Wow. It’s Denny’s. I didn’t expect much, but would have gotten a lot more flavor out of the frozen food isle. Never again.

If it let me give them 0 stars I would have today. I’ve been to this Denny’s before and the service by certain individuals has always been great. I always take my kids out to eat for their birthday and today we took the whole family for my wife’s birthday.
I knew they did free food for my kids for their birthdays, but didn’t assume the same was true for my wife, but as she was ordering a dinner item, the waitress said that she could get a slam for free since it was her birthday. It wasn’t exactly what she wanted, but we’re not going to pass up a free meal either.
We ate our meal and when I went to pay they asked for her ID — well she hadn’t driven and I was buying so she hadn’t brought it.
The lady, who I’m assuming was in charge because she didn’t look to anyone else she just stuck to her guns that no ID, no free meal. When I tried to explain that the waitress never said anything about it and that it wasn’t even what my wife really wanted, she couldn’t have cared less.
I work and teach customer service, she didn’t look for options or take our word at all. I get policies, but when one of your employees doesn’t do what they are supposed to do, such as tell you you’ll have to provide ID and we rely on the information we’re given to our determent, then you swallow the bullet and teach your staff.
Very poor service Denny’s. I rarely write bad reviews because I get that everyone has bad days, but if I had time to picket this one I would. I feel bad for my wife because I was pissy about it all the way home, not a fun way to spend 20 min. on her 30^th birthday
I know Christina was my server, but I didn’t catch the name of the «woman with no soul.»

As far as 24 hour diners go, this place is the best:) Since reopening the owner Steve has really managed to turn this place around from what it use to be a few years ago. He also owns the one in South Hill, so I’m sure he knows what he’s doing cause we like going to that one as well! The waitresses are so sweet, our favorites are Misty & Jen, and when they’re working we definitely request them. Food is always fresh and hot. This is our go to breakfast place in Spanaway:)

Hmmm… It was a Wednesday night, not busy and yet we received the worst service I have EVER seen at a Denny’s.
First, the waitress (if you can call her that) never asked if we wanted anything and looked put upon that we asked to order.
I ordered a Cheese Omelet, nothing crazy and nothing unusual for a Denny’s. I received eggs flattened with Kraft cheese stuffed in the middle, the eggs folded over and then cheese slices laid on top. It wasn’t even close to being melted and the eggs weren’t cut!
Not once were we asked if everything was OK and we even mentioned it as we were trying to cash out with NO apology or anything.
This place has gone downhill, it was never great but now it’s awful.

Ok. I’ll be honest the food is 5 star but service is key. I can’t enjoy my food when my service is so terrible. I went in and was greeted by a nice young lady at the front was asked were I wanted to sit. And was promptly given menus and a drink. That’s when things went south. We met the server… Talk about I hate my job attitude or possibly I hate the younger generation I don’t know what her problem was. But I wouldn’t be writing this if it was just a one time thing I understand people have bad days.
Nope it has happened twice now with two servers. Talk about unprofessional these rude and unprofessional wemon were talking bad about one another and fighting right next to the kitchen next to out booth. What the heck we can all hear you! I had to ask multiple times for refills and a to go containers and attitude geeze ladies. All around terrible service. A real shame because the cooks there are awesome and make a mean breakfast.

Lived in the area for years and have never gone to this Denny’s until last weekend. This location is clean and the service was very good. The food was typical of Denny’s … Diner food… not bad.

This was a Denny’s, then it was some other dinner (forget the name) and now its Denny’s again lol, maybe this location is having a identity issues? Anyway, since it got reborn again as Denny’s the have made big improvements on getting into the parking lot, which IMO was the biggest issue, the restaurant itself is nice, and the employees here are real good and fast.
I think this is probably one of the better Denny’s I have been in.

I have been back to this Denny’s 3 times since my review. The service was much better. I guess it was just a bad day on our 1^st visit. I’m glad I went back.

O.K., I normally would never write a review for such a large «fast food» chain as Denny’s. But this store is a fairly new restaurant just recently built and deserves some insight. First off, this restaurant was built on a previously owned restaurant site. A restaurant named America had some really great breakfast food and I was surprised that it went under (Especially surprised, given the high volume of traffic across the street at Wal-​Mart and the lack of dining options on Mountain Highway). Nevertheless… Every now and then on weekends, after I take the dog for his walk of course, I crave a big breakfast but I am too lazy too cook it. On this particular day, I went in to sample a breakfast skillet. But after looking over the many breakfast options I decided to go with the avocado and bacon breakfast burrito with hash browns on the side that I intentionally ordered with a lot of gravy. For a Denny’s, this meal was exceptionally better quality than I expected. The burrito was absolutely perfect, fresh and delicious! The hash browns and gravy (along with copious amounts of ketchup!) was extremely good. The waitress was kind of «clingy» and annoying… but not too annoying (Perhaps she thought that I was a regular and jabs are the «thing» here). The food came quick and I had no issues with the service. I like the fact that since this place is new, clean and also has large plasma T.V. screens to enjoy sports, news or cartoons! BONUS: I think this place even sells beer! I left this place very full and happy!

If you go, Sit in Cranes section. Great waiter who gets to know his regulars and is always very accommodating! Typical Denny’s food. Quick, cheap, and always warm. There have been a few times that the menu’s have been sticky… Otherwise over acceptable dining experience.
