BEWARE of Mountain Highway Workwear in Spanaway. Their sale items are NON-RETURNABLE, period. Regardless of the fact that they are unused, unworn, in perfect condition, in the original undamaged packaging, etc. All you can get is a store credit. This policy is not posted anywhere in the store. When I pointed that out, they said it is on the receipt. Of course, I pointed out that by the time you have a receipt you’ve already made the purchase. For that I got a nice little smirk and a «Sorry». Way to keep ‘em comin’ back, Mountain Highway Workwear.

I came into this store one year ago to purchase some work boots. I work as a large animal vet assistant and am on my feet in various conditions all day long. A mid-priced boot lasts about 6 months for me. The saleswoman was very pleasant helped me choose boots that met my criteria. She really thought a pair by Danner would be the best. I told her what they would be used for and she assured me that with regular care the boots would hold up for YEARS. She also told me that Danner is American made and that they stand by their product so much that they would either repair or replace any boots that broke down prematurely. These were my first pair of Danners. I purchased the boots for about $ 200 and hoped they would be the boots that would last. I did not notice the«Made in China» tag on the inside until I had the boots home. I contemplated calling to tell the saleswoman, but figured, what is the point. I needed boots then, badly. Cut to one year later and the boots have a crack in both soles and sole separation that began a few months ago. So they have not lasted the years I was guaranteed. And the Danner repair/replace warranty that she was so excited about lasts 180 days and has minimal coverage on most damage. I know the life of the boots are not the saleswoman’s fault, but don’t lie about a product. Especially when it blatantly states«Made in China» and the company only backs their product for 6 months, the length of time any mid-priced boot goes bad with daily use(unless you’re in construction). I can’t comment on the rest of the store as I didn’t really pay attention to it.
