Sad to have to update this with only 1 star compared to the 5 I left before. I hadn’t been here for a while because once we went kind of close to closing time and was rudely told«chicken only» so we thought oh ok we’ll get chicken fried rice…“no, too late chicken teriyaki only”. So disgruntled we left. My mom went and picked up food for us yesterday for my birthday lunch and asked her to get me yakisoba with no onions or carrots. She said the woman then rudely told her«no veggie, ok» and my mom corrected her and she said«that’s too difficult, no veggie», despite that I’ve ordered it this way previously. But even the rudeness aside honesty the yakisoba tasted so gross. It was super oily and was incredibly hard to eat, we also got gyoza that tasted stale like they had let them sit out for a while. My mom also got tempura vegetables which she did like. I won’t be coming back here. After years of loving the food these past experiences just make it not worth it

No customer service, give me money and here is your food. Smaller portions than other places fill the to go boxes with rice in every department then place chicken over it to look like a full box. Pricey too. If you have a lunch special and I just order it without saying lunch special don’t be a ass and charge me the full price. Because I didn’t see you hand written sign written in broken English hanging from the register.

Personally, this is my favorite place to get teriyaki. The prices are high for my liking, but the flavor is on point. They do not overly sauce their food and their spicy chicken is the best here that I’ve tasted compared to what I’ve had in Korea.

The customer service is crap! I have been here twice now and both times the lady is rude, food is good if they gave you more sauce then they do and even when you ask for extra sauce and pay for it you still don’t get that much sauce so my food always ends up really dry, I will be going elsewhere from now on

Smaller sized portion than some other places. I ordered the general chicken during lunch time. I did not like the flavor of this dish. I may give another chance but there are better places in the area.

WORST customer service ever! We order half and half katsu and teriyaki and she said it couldn’t be done, then I look at the menu and it says half and half and I pointed that out and she just rolled her eyes! Then I ask for siracha and she SOLD me one side, I requested to buy more and she said she ran out… Way to go! Don’t go there! NOTRECOMMENDED!!!

I have been a fan here for years. Their teriyaki is very consistent, had it the same way every time. I usually get the chicken teriyaki and the general tsao’s chicken, and honestly it doesn’t get better than that. The flavors are bold and very satisfying! Portions are actually pretty generous for the prices they offer, since meat prices are climbing. Anyway, definitely highly recommended!

I talked myself into this place despite the various«restaurants» located through out the many dubious strip mall places in Spanaway. This spot was a good decision. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with white rice and fresh fried cabbage… to go. I had my order served to me very fast and I was amazed at how well it was cooked. I think that I paid around $ 7-$ 8 for the meal and I could not even finish it(Me and the dog had a good time with the leftovers!!). All the flavors were there and the service was friendly and prompt. I am glad I live so close so that I can indulge more often!

Time to find a new joint The only reason I come here is because it is so close. Last couple visits have been diapponting. I noticed the prices have gone up. We average $ 20 bucks for two meals with no drink. The quality is good, but serving size has gotten smaller. Time to Unilocal a new teriyaki spot.

This place rocks! We have been coming to Sunny teriyaki since we moved here, 5 years ago. it is our only Teriyaki joint that we go to! The service is always good, the food is always great and big portions. However, when you order a combo, the portions do get a bit smaller. :(But the chicken teriyaki is great, the Gyoza is great and we just have never had any bad food experiences with this place! We will keep coming back!

I was stoked to hear that theres a Sunny teriyaki in Spanaland; the one in Auburn is the bomb. Compare that one to a megaton warhead and this one to a grenade. Total devastation for miles to a locally minor blast. Got a Sunny 7 combo so I could make an accurate overall review. All components were pretty average across the board. Saw an order of pork fried rice come out that looked like a mini Mt. Rainier. So, its all quantity and moderate quality.
