I would definitely go back for their pizza, seems like that is their core menu item. Ordered the Godfather Pizza it was tasty and plain cheese both were good. We ordered some chicken fingers and fries for the children, below average, dry and all breading. I also ordered the fried chicken, came out looking over cooked, dry and disgusting appearance as if it was chicken that was re fried, I sent it back.

This is flat out a local joint that has withstood the stand of time and that’s why people love to come. The locals know the place for their pizza; it’s thin thin thin crust and nothing fancy(i.e. It’s baked in 3.5 minutes through a conveyor oven) but you can pick from various toppings and it’s just your local pizza, and that’s why it’s good. The linguine with clam sauce also wasn’t anything fancy but again it’s your local pasta and that’s why it’s so good. Their burger and fries were also solid. I also enjoyed the recent addition of their 7 layer red velvet cake with cannoli cream. Maybe I’m feeling a bit of nostalgia for the simple days with checkered table cloths and pizza stands. I also really loved their well priced prices.

Hands down the best thin crust pizza I have ever had that’s near Bergen County. Their tomato garlic pizza is a MUSTTRY. For all you skeptical meat lovers, I myself am not a veggie person but this pizza blew me away. Vegetables can really surprise ya! I could eat mountainhouse pizza all day everyday!

Service was great! Food was even better! A small pie is basically an individual thin crust! Amazing! I had the bacon Mac and cheese, my coworker had the garbage, and others had variations of pies as well as a pizza burger and chicken part. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Great place for families! They have been around many years at this location — pizza is delish. Sauce is slightly acidic. Basil garlic pizza is the best !

Very strange pizza. Tomato sauce seems like from can and old. I could only taste that old sauce because crust was almost invisible thin. No cheese or anything. I almost cried.

DONOTCALLYOURPIZZA«VEGETARIAN» IFYOUUSELARDINTHECRUST!!! We SPECIFICALLY asked our waitress if you used lard in your crust, as I have been a very strict vegetarian for over 25 years. She told me no. I asked if she was sure. She said yes. It tasted funny to me when I ate it, and she said«I already told you no, we do not use lard». I had two slices, and started not feeling so well. Then ALL last night I spent bent over the toilet. You see, when a person has not had meat or animal fat(my pie was cheese-less) in their body for over 25 years, the body does not know how to process it. So I was sick all night because of the waitress’s ignorance. When I called them today to ask again, I was told by whom ever answered«Yes, we do use lard in our crust.» THENDONOTCALLYOURPIZZAVEGETARIAN!!! I feel sick to my stomach from your food, but I feel even sicker that I was lied to and duped by your ignorant wait staff. When a person makes a life decision to live a certain lifestyle and takes the time to ask questions, you should have the decency and morality to answer correctly and honestly… or at least say«I don’t know» and then go find out. As a result, I am sick from your food… and mad that you lied.

Relaxed atmosphere if you want to dine there or if you’re in a hurry you can always do take out. Great prices and the food is always delicious. My boyfriend and I probably go here about once a week. Without fail, I always get the eggplant parm and fries. Their servings are definitely enough for two meals! Their dessert menu is pretty good too; they always have tasty ice cream flavors. They have a parking lot so you don’t have to worry about parking on the street.

Grew up going to the Mountain House twice a week for dinner. They made the greatest thin crust pizza ever. Until a few years ago new owners came in and changed the crust or something. Tried going a few times but still the same result. Recommend you going to Bobs Thin Crust in Tappan only about a mile away.

Having a pretty good meal last time I gave it another try it was plain terrible. Soda it was completely flat. The meatballs it had the weirdest taste of tap water. Chicken parm was 90% coating 10% month old chicken the pasta tasted like it was cooked in dirty water my friends couldn’t eat the food so we ordered a pizza which wasn’t bad but not as good as my first trip. Will Not be back

Just meh. Don’t know what all the rave reviews are about. Kinda low rent. Dumb service. Decent pizza, nothing special. Crappy wine. So I wanted to bring my own. I’d gladly pay a corkage fee — I just didn’t want to drink their cheap wine. I can’t think of a restaurant in the New York area that has a problem with this. But they had never heard of the idea! Like I said, kind of a low rent crowd. And there’s better pizza out there if you look for it. Try Kinchleys, for example.

Ever reliable thin crust pizza place. Me and my kids love the pizza, mozzarella sticks, ravioli and the molten lava cake. Love the hidden location in Sparkill and the comfy ambiance. I feel so at home in this casual setting. Love it, love it, love it!

I was staying in Orangeburg NY aunt had passed by this restaurant on the way to the hotel. The restaurant is a bit rustic and isn’t very inviting — But what it lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in service and food quality. My waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. She recommended the house specialty which is a homemade lasagna with plenty of cheese. All entrées come with either soup or salad — I chose a green salad which was topped with a tangy house vinaigrette. The Homemade lasagna was covered with bubbly cheese & layers of meat and pasta — what a treat! I will definitely go back to the mountain house to try other dishes!

This place is a solid performer, with the pizza and food spot on. There is a reason why it is always crowded as the prices are reasonable and the service is very good. This is one of those places you have to put on your short list.

Been going here since I was a kid. Great place and awesome food. Solid menu and you really can’t go wrong here. Love the chicken parm and thin crust pizza. Toss in a cheap pitcher of good beer and enjoy!

There is no better pizza anywhere. The crust is thin and the toppings are fresh. This is a very casual place with friendly staff and great food. Do not miss this.

Amazing food. Great service. Huge portions. Affordable. Family friendly. What else could you want? The thin crust pizza is to die for, not to mention the fiery buffalo chicken wings. My recommendation would be either the garbage pizza sans the anchovies or the tomato basil and garlic pizza(although I will warn you that the amount of garlic on that pizza is enough to kill a few vampires. I still love it though). Definitely won’t disappoint !
