This is a pretty large store with a great selection of wine, booze and beer for this side of town. The prices seemed a tad high compared to what I’m used to paying. They will accept credit/debit cards on any purchase over $ 5. The staff were just meh, no interaction nor enthusiasm for their job. I wouldn’t ask for any recommendations, just grab what you need and go.

This is my favorite of all the Ben’s family of stores. Excellent selection of wine and craft beers. Huge open store with a friendly, helpful staff. This is the only location I frequent that has the Jack Daniels Black Jack Cola. Easy access off McCarran and a large parking lot to get in and out of.

First, I must say Ben’s is as diverse as the neighborhood’s they occupy, and there are several in the Reno area. In any event regardless of which location I have never seen any of their stores dirty and they are always well stocked. A few of their locations offer wine tastings and though I have never partaken it is a nice touch not offered at most liquor stores. The liquors offered cover most everything one could be looking for, from top shelf to ordinary hooch, but they also have some hard to find items. On one occasion we were able to pick up a bottle Jack Daniels Sinatra for a friend. Wine, again by location, is stocked more or less abundantly by location but always a very fair offering to choose from. Moving onto my favorite item, let’s talk beer. They obviously carry the normal big beers, but yes they also carry a pretty diverse choice of some very fine micro-brews that could please nearly everyone. When I find myself with shopping time, I am happy to peruse the shelves for something I maybe haven’t tried before or an old favorite. Their prices are always very fair if not great, and their staff is always friendly and if they do not have what you’re looking for in one store they may have it in another of their stores. Lastly, I think what I like most is that they are a local company and I enjoy knowing I am supporting my community, its people, and our local businesses.

I always come here to get my drinks when I’m in town. And when I used to live in Reno. Best Ben’s out of all of them. Great service. The employees are always helpful and nice. Huge selection for all sorts of drinks and there’s always a great sale on different bottles.

Always looking for that store that has GREAT deals on their wine & spirits… Coming from Cali’s wine county, it is hard to find the band names I am use to. That said this place has a good selection of wine. And the vodka I like was only 13.00 which I pay 19.00 and above at other stores. Nice clean store, and the service was awesome. They will look up any wine you are looking for. :)

I loved this place. The prices were fantastic and the choices were wide and they have a great variety. Granted I only go here to purchase wine and Three Olives brand of vodka but for what I need this place is great. The parking lots sucks to get in and out of but other than that I have no complaints. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

I am a customer service critic!!! Very nice and clean! Went in for a favorite of mine… what ruined my experience was the very rude cashier. He must have been there on his own time. Didn’t see the color of his eyes at all, or hear a word from his mouth. Could have said, «Hi…Thanks for choosing us instead of your local food market!»… I would have said: «Hi…You’re welcome! Thank you!» Nope– he just pushed the pen and receipt at me to sign after he rung it up… all righty then!

They had my favorite wine that I can’t find anywhere else except online and it was way less inexpensive! I will definitely be returning!

This is the best Ben’s in the Reno/Sparks area. They have a huge beer selection and a ton of other liquor’s in stock. Its a touch out of the way for me, but its so nice that I’m willing drive the extra time to get there. Customer service has always been pretty good. Definitely worth stopping by.

So, I was in the neighborhood visiting the Hells Angels house for a brew(kidding!) when I noticed the new Ben’s across the street and stopped in for a bottle of Amaretto for the misses. Got home, went to open it, and noticed a lack of snap and crack as I turned the cap. Uh oh. With visions of some homeless guy previously sipping on my wife’s bottle of booze, I went to exchange it. Negative fool! No exchanges or returns without a receipt. Who keeps a receipt? Unless it’s an electronic toy or something, that receipt was a goner. I had my trusty credit card that I used to pay for it, which is good at any other business, but not here. Clerk was pretty short about it too. I guess they get a lot of guys in suits driving BMWs returning Amaretto on Friday afternoons. That’s okay fellas: I tossed the bottle and took myself over to Booze Brothers– Better selection, better service. Scored a sweet 21-yr old Bushmills too.
