If you notice the place is full of flies and their food is just out in the open. It is not even refrigerated. They will reheat your food in the microwave.

Growing up near the Mexican border, my expectations for burritos are very high. My wife and I got the steak burrito, and we were both very impressed. While you wait for your food you can browse their mini groceries section. They have the staples of a typical Mexican kitchen. On the way out we grabbed a couple of churros. Best that I’ve had in a long time! Definitely returning and bringing mi mama when she comes to visit.

This place is the real deal! Coming from California, I have a very high expectation when it comes to Mexican food. That said, the wet burrito here is absolutely delightful and the carne asada tasted homemade and very delicious. The location is a little out of the way, but it’s totally worth the hunt. This place is THAT good! Friendly staff, fine food; El Rosal has both! MUYBUENO!

We drive a semi truck, walked here from the TA, definitely worth it. I got the combo chimichanga and tamale, he got a burrito and we ordered 3 shredded beef tacos on the side. Everything was great, we ate every last bit we could fit and you will too!

You had me at «hello,» El Rosal. A temptress with tamales, this casual spot’s allure is the seduction of legit Mexican specialties at sexy low prices. Enchiladas are yum. Tacos are delish. The horchata is the best I’ve had for some time. Service is fast and friendly. Indoor seating is available. There’s outdoor seating in the front and back. Lot parking is plentiful. The attached store has a variety of grocery items, including giant marshmallows, powdered horchata, pastries, Mexican cheeses and pinatas.

This is definitely one of those no frills sorts of places. I get the sense that the first priority is mass producing and the second priority is the dine in food. The place smells a bit musty when you first walk in, but you get over it. You get your food quickly, which is nice. The chips they had to accompany the meals were a bit stale. I probably wouldn’t object if someone suggested this place for lunch, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

This is one of Reno’s best kept secrets! I never knew this tortilla factory had a restaurant inside until a co-worker of mine told me about it. I always get the carne asada burrito with no cilantro and I have yet to be disappointed with my meal. For about $ 7 or $ 8 bucks you get an immense burrito full of flavor, a side of chips and salsa, and quick, friendly service. I took my significant other here a couple weeks ago and got him hooked! We always love supporting local businesses… you know we’ll be back soon enough.

I went there for lunch and Wow the best tamales I have ever had chunks of pork and the right amount of messa you could taste the love they put into it. My husband loves the lunch plate w/pork rice and beans and fresh tortilla’s. The prices are great the food is really good and fresh definitely a gem of a place.

I have not been here in a long time, so when my wife suggested burritos for lunch, i remembered this place. There address says 155 glendale but they are just down the street from the old grinder switch deli on the right side. The burritos here are very tasty all fresh ingredients and even better a tortilla that has just been made. If you have never tasted a fresh tortilla, it is night and day to the tortillas you buy at the store. If you eat there you can get a bowl of homemade tortilla chips with your choice of salsa. One last thing, if you like your tortilla you can buy them freshly made.

What a little gem! Nothing über fancy but plenty delicious and very nice staff. Cold beer and fresh mex… Can’t beat it. Tortillas are fresh(made next door) and the salsa has some kick. Enjoy

The food here is pretty good, aside from the chips and salsa. It’s always great when they make the tortillas in house.

Did you know that fresh tortillas are made daily in Reno-Sparks? Well now you know! El Rosal pumps out perfectly soft and circular tasty tortillas every day and they sell them all over, including right from the factory to you! I hosted a taco bar at a party and wanted to feature local products, so I knew I had to come here! I called up a few days in advance and they were happy to take an order and guarantee that I was getting tortillas made that morning. At El Rosal you can buy their 6″ tortillas in packages of 3 dozen for $ 1.50, or in a case of 12 packages(432TORTILLAS) for $ 18. It’s quite a bargain considering you’re getting the freshest tortillas in town! They also sell the smaller 4″ size as well, though they’re a little more expensive, and a big box of fresh tortilla chips made on premises for $ 18 too! The staff is super friendly, easy to talk to, and proud of their products. You can be proud to eat or serve El Rosal tortillas too. Just note that you don’t need So why 4 stars? Well, I’m a little surprised by one of the ingredients on the package which I’m used to seeing in non-food products. Slightly concerning to me, but maybe not to you. El Rosal is a cool local business in our community and worth checking out. They have a full service restaurant on site as well, and I’m looking forward to trying that out soon!

How can I not know about this place? Well I do now of course. Clearly I am writing a review for it. But I was told this place has been here for years and years! What? I knew of the El Rosal Tortilla Factory sign thus a tortilla factory… but a place to eat as well? Well yes! This is a place to eat! And eat I did! I wasn’t really picky and was in a rush so I said«smothered burrito» and I got a very good tasting smothered burrito. They also had some help yourself chips and salsa. And a store with some other stuff I don’t know anything about. It’s all Mexican. My food was just right. Not too expensive, not too bad and not too slow! Sounds like a fan worthy experience to me! Also the kid behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful too! So as I sat there putting in the last bite of my enormous burrito I thought to myself… what am I gonna get next time? And who is gonna join me?

The Doritos Taco from Taco Bell is perhaps the biggest affront to authentic Mexican food since Pace salsa or that horrendous queso dip you buy in a jar. You might as well slap some Mac n Cheese on a boxed taco shell and call it Mexican. In an effort to get my boyfriend to understand that«j“s in Spanish sound like«h“s,(babe, please, stop pronouncing the«j» in Baja. You sound like a Midwestern housewife) I’ve been taking him to more authentic restaurants in the area. But so far, none are as authentic as El Rosal. The menu is small but they have all the classics; burritos, tacos, chile rellenos, enchiladas, etc. I got two tacos and a drink with unlimited chips for about $ 5.50. The flavors are fresh: cilantro and onions and jalapeños. Listen, years ago I worked with 25 Latina women. And when they would cook for me, it was like this. The salsa is hot, the meat is flavorful, the tortillas are fresh and lightly toasted. It’s authentic. It’s not flouncy Mexican food: a massive plate with mounds of beans and rice slathered in cheese so each item is indistinguishable from the next. It’s the real deal. Portions are a la carte so make sure you order enough. Portions are delicious… so make sure you order enough. Also, this little restaurant is in the back of the tortilla factory. So you KNOW the tortillas are divine. Also, it’s extremely casual. Kinda like a cafeteria. But the employees are kind and gracious and the food is fabulous. It’s a great casual lunch spot when you want something authentic, inexpensive and easy. I highly recommend checking this little gem out. If anything it’ll give you a standard by which to judge your Chili Cheese Gordita Crunch or Cool Ranch Taco. Which, for the record, should be considered American food that’s unfairly bastardized Mexican flavors. Kinda like how my boyfriend unfairly bastardizes Spanish. ‘Cept when he does it it’s adorable and endearing. Nothing’s adorable about a Mac n Cheese taco.

Tortilla Factory with a restaurant in the back. Each Friday, my coworkers and I make the drive over to get the best burritos in town. It is not fancy but the food is great. Also, they consistently give you a great product at an affordable price.

They have full service and even a roach coach that goes around town. Gotta love the original roach coach! Burritos and tacos are filling. The leche cake is milky — it’s good — try it! And the Chiclets are available on the counter. Yes, they have Chiclets! There is a small grocery store in the restaurant where you can purchase all of your Latin grocery needs and the staff is friendly. You can also get your piñata here.

A friend at work recommended this place, At first I just thought it was a tortilla factory, but it was also a restaurant serving Mexican food, which their food reminded me of home when I was a kid. They even has a lot of Mexican items as well inside the store, as well as tortillas for sale, and their Mexican bread is d-lishes. If you like Mexican food, then this is the spot for you, and don’t forget to take some sweet bread home… See you there:)
