I called this place because I needed a storage unit in the next few days. Over the phone I was able to get a quote quickly on various types of units and a competitive offer on a 10 X 10 unit. Compared to Antioch, CA, the price wasn’t too impressive. Using google to find comparable units, the only thing remotely competitive is public storage’s 1 dollar/first month rental, but they are like 4 miles away and this place is about a 20 second drive. When I got there, I was greeted by a friendly dog and one of the family member’s running the place, the friendly, down to earth Ian. While Ian took a while to rent me a unit after a quick inspection, he was very good to me in terms of taking care of some fees to make up for a bit of a wait. He’s just getting back into the swing of using their system to do rentals. The place has very good hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Su-Sa, but you can only use a cart(which are on the smaller size) during office hours which are like 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Su-Sa(I think). The place focuses on indoor units to minimize dust, though they do have lot level units as well. If you’re there after the 1st, units are pro-rated for that month and you have until the 5th to make a payment before you have to pay for that entire month. I’ve done storage units in Berkeley(UC Self-storage) and in Antioch(Antioch Mini-Storage) and this unit was the best among them. If you’re looking for competitive pricing and down to earth friendliness, I’d say this is the place to rent a storage unit. Not only that, but the dog will help inspect your unit prior to renting it. Very nice.
