Happy Nails

I’m new to the area from Los Angeles and just needed a quick gel manicure. I haven’t found my official go to nail salon so I’m checking places out for now. This place is down my street so it was super convenient. Price was decent for a gel mani, $ 27 and their work and equipment was clean. The main lady is super weird though. As a client walked out she started talking shit about how that client complained about her work. Super unprofessional and rude. 2 days after I got them done, my pinky nail gel piece completely peeled off. I came back to ask if it could be fixed and the main lady told me «you have to wait I can’t have people stop working just to fix one nail» so god damn rude. Never coming here again, no customer service etiquette.

I like this place! You can’t go into a salon like this expecting to be pampered like at a place that charges $ 60 for a spa pedicure.
I personally enjoy the efficiency and lack of small talk. No, they aren’t trendy or lavish, but they get the job done and I always have a nice experience. Prices are great and they are always smiling. They might juggle you with another customer, but they do a great job handling it.
A big bonus for this place is they have all their gel polish on a little palette so you can actually see what it will look like, and not have to open each bottle to decide. Its probably preferred that they clean their tools a little better (for manicures, because they DO use the autoclave for the pedicures). But it honestly doesn’t bother ME much.
They seem to have many regulars, including me! They know most of their customers by name.

I found this salon clean and the people greeted me right away. The 1 star is for the girl who did my nails only, well, except that the owner did let it happen. She set her phone up on her tray and carried on a Skype conversation very loudly in Vietnamese, pausing often to laugh and include another girl in the shop in the conversation. I could hear the Skype conversation also and I felt like my being there was incidental. She rarely even looked at my feet! Needless to say it was a very sloppy job and I had to remind her to do the base coat. The second she was done she told me to get up get up and move to the front, even though no one was waiting. It was not relaxing in the least. I will never go back. Sorry Happy Nails. you did not make me happy!

Got my nails done here, I was looking for something different from the square nails I usually get. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and he pretty much nailed it. .I love them, they are not big on conversation which kinda makes time seem to go so slow but that’s a small price to pay for beautiful nails.

This place is absolutely horrible!!! I told them I had gel polish on my nails 3 times and they were like «yea okay» and then when she found out I had them she got mad and charged me $ 10 extra to remove the gel. And she left me sitting in acetone for 10 minutes, and my fingers were burning, because she forgot about me, and started working on someone else. So she didn’t even give me a manicure. The pedicure was awful, the polish was pretty much see through and its a neon pink China glaze which I have, and I know it can be a solid if you do 3 coats. Had to tell her to put a base coat on. They charged me $ 35 for a basic pedicure and removing my gel polish, when they said it would be $ 30 for a mani and a pedi. This place needs to shut down or hire someone who speaks English.

Although the staff was hard to understand and not very personable, I enjoyed my experience here. I went in for a pedi and mani. The pedicure chair was comfortable and the pedicure itself was fine. I usually like more of a relaxing feeling and they seemed a little rushed. But my manicure was awesome. I tried the shellac polish and loved it! Its been two weeks and it still looks great. Plus the price was right!

Had a very nice experience here today. Came in at opening and was taken right in. The pedi was wonderful. Foot and leg massage — the works! Then on to a full set of gel nails. Anna was very patient as I had no clue as to what I really wanted. After choosing a red and gold glittery holiday theme she set to work. Now I’m not really well versed in the mani pedi world but I feel Anna really took her time to be sure my nails turned out just the way I wanted. They are beautiful. I am VERY pleased and plan on being a return customer.

My first time here and what a disappointment. My nails like horrible (shellac mani & pedi) and my nail tech was very very rude. I believe her name is Thai. She was rushing me the whole time and was also throwing my hand around. Horrible experience and I spent $ 65. Smh

Great pedi! No wait even though they are busy. My toesies were a-​nasty after camping for three weeks and she did an amazing job. She really took great care in cleaning up my gross feet. Will be back if I’m in Reno and need a pedi.

Pedi is $ 25 that’s not $ more like $$ anyways good pedi but getting my nails filled and I can already tell my nails aren’t going to last sweet lady but not good with fake nails its very busy here so I’m sure the other nail techs are good but if anyone has any recomendations for nail techs here please share.

My first time here and I was VERY impressed! I had a pedicure and it was awesome; very professional and I even got a leg massage. Nicely air conditioned for these hot days in Reno; nice and comfortable massage chairs, decent music and all in all a very nice experience on my side of town. I’ll definitely be back and definitely will recommend «Happy Nails» to all my friends!

Have been going back consistently since I first went in January and Hong is awesome. I had a pedi done by her and she did a fantastic job. They have closed for 3 weeks for remodeling and vacation but will reopen on the 11^th of June 2012. Best place in town to get your nails done.

Great salon. Reasonable prices and all the workers are close in skill and experience. Fun airbrush designs and good OPI collection. I wish they had more pastel polish colors but still great. They take care of everyone and don’t talk much so i can really just relax. (;

It’s a great salon very clean… Not as chatty as I would like them to be but overall the service is great and the prices at reasonable. They treated myself and my 4 yr old daughter great! The are open pretty early too! (earlier than surrounding nail salons).
