K/D Empire

Such a fun place to go! Not only is the owner Javi informative and super nice, but they will take orders and recommendations from their customers :). Every time I go (which is quite often) there is usually something new in the store. They have unique collectables, t-​shirts, Japanese candy and soda, wallets, stickers, blind boxes, Pop figures, and so much more! I have started collecting different toys that I had not even heard of before. Not only that, but I swear this store is «lucky»! I got the chaser for the Faces of Cartman blind boxes on my first try! It was the first box out of the case too HA! But besides that, all of the staff make you feel welcome and are willing to help. I tend to open my blind boxes there because they will let you trade if you want (good for those times you get doubles or triples) and they offer a trading party! Love the Tokidoki and Kidrobot stuff!!!

If you’re a collector this is the place to go. So I was going to give this place a four a half star but I rounded up to five. Because it’s just that good! The half a star lost would’ve been for parking. It’s a crappy parking lot but the owner can’t really do much about it.
Besides that the outside of the building is awesome. There is this huge art piece on the outside of the wall that is really artistic. When going in the store it is bright. Fairly small but very very clean. Everything has its own place. And the floors you just can’t miss them. They are cluttered free and looks like they are well-​kept clean.
The majority of the time I go when the owner is there. He is awesome! He’s very nice and informative. If there is something that you want and is not there, you just ask Javier about the item and he will order it! The other worker is nice as well.
Like I said if your a collector, what better place to go then a local collector shop! Where there are amazing people, and clean environment!

I’m super happy Reno now has a place like K/​D Empire. As someone who has always been into vinyl toys, Japanese animé statues/​figures I have always had to go online or to San Francisco.
Now I have an amazing collectors store right in Reno. There are all sorts of things at K/​D Empire — blind boxes galore, special collectors figures, animé figures, t-​shirts, stickers, Japanese candy, keychains, everything!
The owner is super nice and willing to help you out with anything. The one thing I really love about this place is that he already has an opened blind box figure, and if you get a figure you already have or don’t want he will trade you that figure he has already opened. What an awesome idea!
Awesome store — I’m hoping someday Javi will have enough money and business to move into a location a little closer to mid-​town as the current store is out in Sparks, in a spot that hard to find parking for, and is a bit of a drive for me to get to.

Great place to make friends and to learn about new and upcoming collectibles. Well organized and it’s simple. A must go to local shop! Park in the neighborhoods or in their own lot. Pick your poison.

If you are a toy collector, this is the place for you. They have a variety of mystery box collectibles, and a trading shelf next to the counter if you accidentally get one you already have. I was especially pleased to see they sold tokidoki unicorno figurines. :D

I found this store cruising around on Facebook and I couldn’t be happier. My son and I collect all kinds of vinyl figures and as soon as we walked in we loved this store. They have nearly every vinyl figure you can think of from pops, to minis, to munny’s, to vinylmation and more. I wanted to buy every t-​shirt in the place. Javier is the owner and he is awesome. The store is very well organized and you can tell he loves his store. I coulda stayed all day. They even have vinyl figure trading parties, and you can come in an trade without making a purchase. Although not making a purchase is impossible. Love this store!

Family and I went in to K/​D Empire. We are toy collectors and like to check out as many shops before we die. The shop is extremely clean and customer service is 100%! The items the store carry aren’t are taste we are more into horror. However we were glad we checked it out. I always like buying a little something from independently owned toy shops when the customer service kicks ass. So, we picked up some cactus kitties. Glad to support anyone who has a passion in their career!

The best in the Northern Nevada area for collectable toys /​Japanese toys. The store owner Javier is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in finding anything you need!

Long time toy collector here, I’ve been driving past this shop for a few months now and finally decided to check it out. The guy that runs the place (Avi I think is his name?) was super nice and helpful and the trading system is awesome! the folks at Happy Happy could really take a page from his book. He has a bunch of open doubles on the counter for trade. Now I can finally get rid of my cupboard full of doubles without losing money or needing to attend a trading party! Shop was very clean and presentation was excellent. I will definitely be going here again. This store caters more to the vinyl/​custom toy and model enthusiast culture, whereas Reno’s other Kidrobot carrying toy store is more for kids’ toys with a small display in the corner.
I love this place. Keep up the great work! I’ll be back in soon!

Awesome place for everything manga, shirts, animé, small toys. I bought my first kidrobot here. Also bought my older neice a toy and now my younger neice wants me to buy her one, as with the nephew so I have to go back and buy some more for them. Guy that owns the store real friendly and he offered me a Gostbuster Krispy Kreme Donut when I was there.

Saw this store walking from the rib cook-​off. Boy I’m glad I’m walked in. If you’re into animé, video games, rc cars, art etc… This might be the place for you. The guy is a really nice guy you can tell he really appreciate your business. I wish there was a store similar like this in the bay area. Prices were also fair.

This place is super cool. I saw it driving down Pyramid one day and thought I’d stop in. The guy that works there is super chill and friendly and he’s got a lot of really cool toys, t-​shirts and collectibles. Reno needs more stores like this.
