Service was a solid 5 stars, but the food was a two and a half at best. I ordered the Ca burrito with a side of chorizo fries. My burrito was mediocre, flavor less and had fat in it, I don’t think was was carne Asada, it looked like tendons so I actually stopped eating it. The chorizo fries were enjoyable and I loved chips and hot salsa, that was actually the most enjoyable part of my meal including my strawberry margarita. Since my meal was so unsatisfying I opted out on trying dessert, but I don’t think I’ll rush back for a meal, but I may be back for happy hour 2 for 1 margaritas. The Ca meal was overpriced and mediocre, I definitely don’t recommend it.

We ate at the Reno location yesterday, and loved it. Today we are at the Sparks location. We are not disappointed, quality service and delicious food. 2 fir 1 Margaritas from 2 – 6. $ 1.00 tacos. Awesome bean dip. This is the best in Nevada.

The food is great here. Sometimes it takes a little longer than expected but overall a good place. Most of the staff is very friendly but there are a few older grumpy employees that are still there. For the most part I would recommend it since the food is always good and the prices are reasonable!

Murrieta’s is always a great dining experience. I’ve been going there for years and am impressed every time. Most recently we’ve had the crab enchiladas, the fajita wrap, the seafood enchiladas, albondigas, and flautas. All were terrific! They even managed to put together a great jalapeño margarita. Great food, great drink, and very friendly and attentive service. Very highly recommended!

We all ordered the same food. Great chicken tacos. Chicken tortilla soup is really good. One in our party thought it was too salty. Only problem is the service. We waited 20 minutes to be served at lunch. We watched other parties be seated after us and served and left before we even got our food. Had to take our soup to go due to taking so long for lunch. Maybe better for dinner when I’m not rushed.

You have to eat from their Platos Mexicanos aka«Authentic» menu in order to get the 5 star food. Just trust me on this. Anything on that menu with the chicharones is fantastic, but I prefer the pambasos. Don’t let them tell you that it’s too spicy for you! It’s not! You’ll thank me later.

The restr. Sponsored coupons for the local high school but when i tried to use for a take for 3 @ +$ 54.00 they conveniently decided it was only good for dining at the restr. I asked what is the difference, and got deer eyes. Ask to see the Mgr and was told she doesn’t work on Friday nights. What a shame your employees can’t make a logical decision Just as I was leaving, someone decided that I had a sound argument and gave me my discount. Needless hassle, but good recovery and the food was, excellent.

I’m not a big fan of Mexican food but Murrietas is my favorite place to go! They have two amazing locations. I usually go to the one in Sparks. They have good Pico de gallo and salsa for the chips. I normally order some guacamole to go with the chips(their guacamole it’s very good!) A half order of guacamole is enough. One full order would be too much! The food I’ve tried here that u can recommend are the shrimp quesadillas, carne asada and pescado frito. If you are an enchilada person I can highly recommend the seafood enchilada! That’s what everyone in my family orders. Oh I almost forget to mention that they have really good margaritas, very strong! My favorite part though, is the churros! They have really good churros! I live them! Staff is friendly and nice, restaurant is nice and the bathrooms are super clean. It’s always pack so I would recommend to make reservations during busy hours.

Whenever I am in town, this is where I go for lunch. There may be better places in the area, but I have never been disappointed here. The salsa area really good, the service is prompt, they are always busy, their portions are quite generous, the food is really good and I have always left satiated and happy!

If you are looking for quality civeche, this is the best place to go! Everything else is pretty mediocre. They have a fairly large variety of menu items to choose from but none of them are exceptional. I ordered the chicken fajitas — which are almost always promising — but was disappointed. The chicken was dry and the vegetables were way over-cooked. My family also wasn’t impressed with their entrees. The service was slow and this really isn’t an ideal place to go for Mexican food in my opinion.

Ideally, Mexican cuisine would not be extremely difficult to do well. However, numerous establishments fail to pull off even a semi-decent dining experience, and this is one of them. With subpar food, service just as ho-hum, and lackluster atmosphere, Murrietas is not a location I desire to return to any time soon. Food quality: Although, at first, my impression of the location was not bad, due to the somewhat flavorful obligatory chips, my main order, the Pescado Frito, was mediocre at best. It was overcrowded by unnecessary, even detrimental-to-taste condiments, and was half the size of that offered by the competition nearby. While the tortillas were not bad by any means, they were also far from remarkable. Overall, nothing of note here. Food quantity: As aforementioned, the quantity is considerably less than at other Mexican restaurants, which have better quality at that. The chips and salsa were in standard sizes. Service: Ordering was a small talk in itself, due to confusion over quantity and ingredients included within certain dishes, and the service per se was not the quickest, but not delayed beyond belief. It took about 20 minutes for orders to arrive, when the restaurant was(explicably) empty. Atmosphere: The décor and overall interior feel of the restaurant was just like every other aspect: rather unremarkable and monochrome. Despite the slight touches here and there, the atmosphere didn’t really spice up the experience all that much. Overall: It’s honestly a shame that there aren’t many high-quality Mexican restaurants in Reno or Sparks, as it’s a cuisine done right with relative ease compared to others. The food ranged in quality from okay to bad in half the quantity as it should have been, the service was just there, if that, and the atmosphere is nothing to admire or rave about. On the whole, not recommended for the casual restaurant-goer, the tourist, or(most certainly not) the Mexican dining fanatic. Fans of Mexican restaurants should definitely look elsewhere. Pros: + Chips have a decent flavor + Tortillas were at least average + Seating was semi-comfortable Cons: — Monochrome atmosphere not particularly memorable — Service inattentive, on the slow side, and clearly just there to fulfill their purpose — Entrees not great and, in fact, leaning on the side of bad-to-mediocre — Condiments flooded the main dishes — Size of the food should have been doubled — Location excessively out-of-the-way SCO
