They were small time flippers as myself and we bought things from each other as well as had a few business transactions together. Since then they’ve gotten them self a space and retail store and appliance repair center. So I noticed them advertising they had Shark vacuum cleaners and Bissell Carpet Cleaners in their store. I was in desperate need of both machines. I didn’t have cash on hand so as in the past I thought that I would see if it would be possible to barter a Starrett Depth Micrometer(value $ 425), Sealed Dvd Boxsets as well as a few other items for both machines. I contacted Mrs. Davenport and asked if she would be interested. She replied with what exactly do you have for trade? So I went ahead and sent pictures to her of everything that I would be willing part with and waited. I contacted her through the Facebook messaging and had seen that she had reviewed my message and thought well she’s probably busy. I’ll give her a day to respond. So I had heard nothing back from her so the following day I sent another message asking her if she had reviewed the pictures(Which I already knew that she did) and if was she interested in the deal. Nothing back after that message either yet she did review that message also. After that I just went ahead and assumed that she was not interested. I’m not going to beg someone to contact me back and honestly the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. So … a couple weeks down the road I chose to review there store through there Facebook page and share my experience and wouldn’t you know it I got a response that time. I was questioned as to why I was leaving a bad review as to they never got any messages on there side. Really guys? Unfortunately technology really doesn’t lie I commented back to the whole situation and was met with half of conversation screen grabs and that’s where I left things. That was until Mr. Davenport stepped into the picture and was not happy about the review. I was told that the only reason that I was not happy about the situation was because(I didn’t get my way) and that now they have a business license that they did not have to trade with anyone. And most likely Mrs. Davenport was busy in the store and they get thousands of messages a day. Also that they’re prices are already so low and that I was already getting deals and reselling their items. 1) I have never been to they’re store or appliance center 2) Anything that I buy, I buy for me and my household use … not to resell 3) Technology doesn’t not lie 4) You guys dropped the ball The sad part is even after Mrs. Davenport said her piece about not receiving pictures and more or less made false statements. If Mr. Davenport would have come to me and said something like: Hey man we really did drop the ball on this one sorry about that and we really can’t do trades. It would have sufficed the whole situation. I’m an easy going guy and understand that not all things work out and things do in fact happen. But you folks chose to go an entire different avenue and weren’t(Stand Up People) My advice to anyone wishing to deal with the Davenport’s in a business situation — Watch Out
