This was a great location for us because it was right off of the freeway, so after a long trip of car travel, it was nice to just get off the freeway and boom! It’s right there! Now, the only bad thing about that is the traffic noise. If you’re a light sleeper and have the windows open, you will hear the sounds of the freeway. Oh, and the train that goes by and blows it’s whistle as it passes at 6:30 a.m. The train was a bit aways, so I imagine if you have the windows closed you might not hear it. I looked out the window to see if I could see the train tracks or the freeway, and I couldn’t. They were behind the tree line. Very clean grounds and room, ours had a hot tub, it was a large, comfy room. I was very impressed for a Super 8. I wish I knew it had an indoor swimming pool, but I didn’t see it until we were checking out. It looked great, and had a hot tub next to it. The one weird thing about our room was the layout of the sitting area. If you’re sitting on the couch, the TV on the wall is off to the right. I don’t know why they didn’t line them up so you don’t have to turn your head to watch the TV. I almost wanted to rearrange the room myself while I was there. Maybe I’m getting OCD now. And the wires were all hanging down from the back of the tv and the phone, it looked messy. Other than those very minor issues which are probably more my problem than theirs, it was a great room and I would totally stay here again. Room Tip: Room 201 is convenient, but don’t sleep with the windows open if you’re a light sleeper.

Five stars for the quality of the hotel for the price(it’s not the Four Seasons after all). Super 8 is, of course, a budget line, but this place was a step up from most of them, more of a Super 9. Place was clean, rooms on the large size, fridge and microwave in room, wifi, indoor pool, breakfast included a waffle maker, staff was friendly. Offered AARP and AAA discounts.

Nicest Super 8 I’ve stayed at. Rooms were great, and the breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast.

Within 5 minute drive from Fort McCoy. This motel is easy to find and reasonably priced. It is not brand new but is well kept and clean. It has a continental breakfast and an indoor pool. Next time I come to Fort McCoy I will be staying here again.
