Bad Apple’s Bistro

This place is excellent. We had heard it was good, so when a Groupon came along we decided to make the drive (it’s only 25 min. from our house, but it is farther than we usually go.
The place is small (maybe 40 people) but tastefully decorated — so be sure to have reservations.
There were only 2 waitresses who did everything (seat, pour/​serve wine, take orders, serve, and bus tables) but they were efficient and didn’t seem hurried or harried.
The French onion soup was as good as I’ve had anyplace. My wife had charred sirloin tips and I had mac & cheese. Both were excellent! We shared an apple crisp which was also delicious.
We will definitely be back — and bring friends.

What a great little restaurant in spencerport! The atmosphere inside is slightly upscale and the food is outstanding. Honestly, everything is good and don’t pass on the fries!

Amazing! Great food and great service. We have been a couple times and will be returning in the future. I highly recommend this place for special events like anniversary dinners, birthday celebrations or anytime you want a high quality meal with fresh ingredients. I give this place five stars, which is very hard to get from me since I am very picky.

This tiny little hidden gem is some of the best food in the county! It’s a little on the pricey side but seriously if you want high end, you have to pay for it! The chef is a complete genius! Each meal is like a party for your palate! Your meal comes and you think «this is not enough food». But once you start eating you realize that the portion is absolutely perfect. I really like how the menu changes with the season! It’s a small venue so you will need to make a reservation (same day is fine). Even on weekdays I have seen them turn away countless diners due to the demand. Plan ahead for a date night. You won’t be disappointed!

Fresh, simple, delicious! Travelled all the way from Atlanta, Ga for this must taste WNY food heaven. Unique Caesar «croûton» woo’d us, crab cakes were scrumptious, and the gnocchi was amazing. Not sure when we would make it back, we had all the desserts… The Rosemary infused ice cream + apple cobbler was like Christmas joy in my mouth! Will be back, but not soon enough! Shout out to Chef Chris for his culinary wizardry. Great service, too;)

This restaurant is hidden behind a McDonalds. Wouldn’t have found it if it weren’t for groupon. The atmosphere is really simple but cute.
For starters my bf and I shared the crabcakes. The cakes are small but thick and fluffy, not much crab flavor though. I actually liked the salad it was served with more. We also got complimentary bread and 3 different dips. The dips were super yummy!
For entrees I got the filet mignon medium rare. The steak was cooked very well which made me very happy. I thought the steak was a bit salty but the overall flavor was good. The mash potatoe’s blandness sorta balances out the salty steak too.
My bf got the salmon dish. The fish tasted good and light. The sweet potatoes it came with was particularly good.
For dessert we shared a pistachio crème brule. The overall taste was good, not too sweet though I would have liked a more pistachio taste. Overall a pleasant experience :)

Very cozy atmosphere… good place for a quiet family dinner. The server was courteous and friendly. I had beef steak… Filet mignon, medium rare. It was cooked to perfection… delicious!!!

Wow. Wow! Blew my mind. I haven’t even finished my meal. I just ate the roasted banana soup, and it was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. Ever. I just wish I had been patient enough to post a picture of it before I finished it.
Clearly this place serves high-​quality, amazing food. Fantastic service, great food, and perfectly reasonable prices for what they are serving.

Pretty legit for a little local place. They start you with complimentary roasted apple garlic purée/​butter, balsamic n oil, and rosemary butter served with sun dried tomato bread. Each of them was really delicious!
The french onion soup was flavorful, cheesy and piping hot.
I was not terribly thrilled with the seafood. The mussels were in a great broth but a good hearty handful of them didn’t open. I took it to go, having been stuffed from the other items so I couldn’t call it to the attention of anyone.
The fried calamari was flavorful but soaked up some oil and when paired with the aioli it was surprisingly heavy. That being said, I ate the whole darn thing and if properly shared the effect may not be the same.
I certainly wouldn’t shy away from coming here again. The wait staff were attentive and friendly.

This bistro is very refined. Great wine selection, and the food was awesome.
I had the filet mignon, and my boyfriend ordered the venison (it was cooked perfectly).
We went on a Friday at 6 (with a reservation). I recommend making a reservation because it isn’t a huge establishment, and it is a classier place… especially for parties greater than 2.
Sometimes they have special events like «wine and swine» where they pick a pork dish and a wine to pair it with, along with some signature sides. I haven’t been to one of these, but my friends have and enjoyed the pairings.
If you are stopping through Spencerport and want a fancy dinner, this is a great place to eat for a romantic dinner, or an intimate group.

Bad Apples, you did it again! Brought a group of friends in for my birthday celebration and I suggested Bad Apple’s bistro. My best friend set up reservations and commented in how wonderfully friendly and accommodating they were.
We ordered wine, arancinni, mussels, crab cakes for apps. All were fantastic. Many great reactions for the crab cakes (extremely meaty) and mussels (delicious and tender). I love the arancinni. Like last time I got the filet Mignon. Delicious, tender and tasty and cooked to a perfect medium rare! Wow!
Tasted my friends chicken! Mouth wateringly juicy and delicious. Enjoy as an entrée!
Others ordered the special. Flank steak with scallops. Tremendous! See photo. Big meaty scallops and steak cooked to perfection.
Just a quaint, friendly restaurant with top of the line delicious food! My fifth time here!
