Café Macchiato is stuck inbetween buildings on the main street(Union Street) in Spencerport. This is a better place to go and have a catch-up with an old friend conversation than Tim Hortons. This coffee shop has been turned over a few times, but this storefront brand has maintained for the last few years. The pros: The coffee is strong for your 2 o’clock bump. The have sweets and things too. The chairs and seating are set up for intimate dates/good friend convos. The staff is very friendly. Decent coffeehouse fare. The cons: I feel like there is a lot going on with the walls and shelves filled with things for sale. I kind of feel like I am walking into one of those pyramid-scam parties at first, with all of the catalogues, trinkets, etc. There isn’t AC on when it is hot. Other than that, support your local businesses, and get a cup of coffee that is made fresh.

Great café drinks. Reasonable prices. Good breakfast and lunch selections. I personally love the breakfast burrito.

Spencerport residents will know of this café, others might simply drive on by not even acknowledging it’s existence. Well park your darn car and give this café a chance. Extremely popular amongst the teens and young adults of Spencerport, this appears to be a typical rest and relax coffee and java establishment which in all respects, is. It’s a fairly small café but nothing to complain about, the menu selection is pretty diverse offering a good coffee selection which is what I can recall. The inside décor is pleasant and overall, a relaxing atmosphere that is great for hanging out with friends or catching up on work. Hard to say more as I’ve only been there two times but I encourage anyone to try out Café Macchiato… it shouldn’t disappoint.

I’ve driven by this place several times and finally took the time to stop in. I had just taken a long walk on the Spencerport canal and was looking for a nice light, but filling lunch. The atmosphere was very nice. Very cute decorations in the front of the restaurant. The back was kind of plain, but seemed to be more for overflow. The children of the owners were around, but they were very polite and didn’t cause any problems or disturbance to the meal. I ordered the buffalo chicken on a spinach wrap. It came in about 5 minutes. The nice touch to the wrap was that they actually used bleu cheese off of a block on the wrap. In my experience with buffalo chicken they tend to just use a cheap dressing. The ingredients tasted really fresh and was served with chips and a pickle. Another nice touch was the pickle was individually wrapped so that it wouldn’t get the wrap or chips soggy. All around this is a place I would recommend, at least for the wraps. Based on this experience, I am sure the coffee is really good too.

A friend and I were looking to meet halfway between where we both live, and she suggested we try Café Macchiato in Spencerport. I hadn’t heard of it, but she said she’d heard it was a cute well kept secret coffee location… My first impression walking in was that it was cute — there are small gifts for sale, and the décor is inviting and relaxing. The barista was really pleasant and welcoming. They have a good selection of drinks and a handful of sandwiches/wraps and other lite fare. I went with a carmel frappé because I needed something cold in the 100 degree heat we’ve been having. I also ordered a Greek Veggie wrap. My friend ordered and the girl said she’d bring us our purchases. We opted to sit in the back portion of the café, and it wasn’t quite as nice back there. Actually, it was really quite warm, and some fruit flies were buzzing around our head. I killed one and solved that problem. Food wasn’t long in coming despite the fact that only one person seemed to be working. The coffee and frappé we ordered were both very good. And I enjoyed my wrap. It was fresh and came with some veggie chips and a pickle. Score for the pickle! Really though, it was too hot. I was getting a little cranky because I had hope to visit with my friend in an ice box to beat this heat. I don’t know if they don’t have AC or what — but it would have made the experience much better.
