It’s the nearest park to where I live and all in all it’s pretty average. There is a lot of lawn to roam around in and that isn’t an issue. They have a water area for your children if they eventually get bored by the other playground equipment. For older children, there is a skateboard area which is quite popular among the teen audience but at least it’s maintained well. There is plenty of room to hold events here but it’s best to plan early or the town may not approve of it. You can also fish but with the canal nearby, this may be best as a second option rather then a first. Additionally, there are some trails nearby for walking and as I said before, the wide open grass spaces are great for relaxing or participating in various«park» activities. It’s not anything spectacular but for local residents around here, it’s a nice place to go in the summer when there is nothing else to do.

This park is great for warm weather, something we don’t have the luxury of right now… BUT it is good for the kiddies in the summer. They have Ogden Bears football practice here in the summer, as well as various soccer practices and games. The four lodges get booked quickly in the summer for graduations, showers and events, so if you need a space for a party you should book it about 6 months in advance through the Ogden Town Hall. Fishing is permitted, but I am pretty sure you have to throw them back into the pond after they’ve been caught. There is a skateboard park for your angry preteens and teenagers, who will hang out there all summer, up against the fence or on top of one of the ramps. The splash pad area is perfect for kids to play in on a hot summer day if you don’t have a pool to cool off in. Sometimes it gets crowded if a summer camp shows up. There are trails and lots of space for frisbee, running, hiking, etc.
