Go somewhere else. We wish we had. It was ok until you could hear the cook in the back argue with waitress about an order and then instead of just fixing the request, there was more attitude. One of our orders came out burned and the other order at the table was not as ordered. Then the staff was complaining loudly that a regular customer only left a penny for a tip. No wonder. We won’t go back. To bad as it used to be a decent place.

Great little ‘hometown’ feel restaurant. Great staff, good food, good prices. Have brought kids and family there a few times and even ran into one of the kids teachers one morning. Highly recommended…

Nice old diner, which is clean. The biscuits and gravy with fresh sausage made in house which my husband said the best he has had. I had the Malt Waffle with hot syrup, so yummy. Employees were so friendly. When back in Spokane Valley, will be back here to eat.

Found this place on Unilocal and happy we did. It was a little hard to find but we finally found it. All their food is made from scratch. Must try a salad with their homemade croutons. We will be back on our way back through.

The diner is quaint and there was no wait on a weekend morning. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly at first but she came around while we were there — maybe just shy? The food came out in a reasonable time, it was very tasty, and the portions were generous. I am a big fellow and I couldn’t finish my plate. When you sit down there are coffee cups already on the table. Do not turn your coffee cup unless you want coffee. I learned this the hard way. It is probably obvious to most but I am not a smart man. Anyway, the coffee was decent though. It wasn’t bitter and just had a good clean standard coffee taste. I am a Southerner and I tell you this in order to give more weight to my next statement: Their biscuits and gravy are very good. Good enough that if you picked up Donna’s Diner and dropped it in my beloved Georgia I would still go there for biscuits and gravy.

Been there a few times and it wasn’t bad. Those experiences weren’t great either, so my expectations were for an average experience. Turns out it was a well below average experience. — 1 hour to get our food — food was tasteless and cold — order was not correct — staff doesn’t seem to care I left the server 20% tip even after all this and see didn’t even seem thankful or surprised. The experience felt like it was the norm as there was little concern by any of the employees. The server really should have paid us for sitting there that long and eating the food, but I know that the problem is from a management failure and not solely her fault. That is why I am sharing the experience here instead. Hopefully, management will get the memo and make changes before they lose more customers. My most recent visit will be my last.

I have eaten here at least two dozen times in the last couple of years. Almost every time I eat here I tell my self that I will never return due to their horrible customer service. The waitresses are rude and are never willing to even consider doing anything out of the box. For example, I asked to have them slice up my ham at the time of the order and they refused to do it. Another time I asked for my eggs to be served on a different plate so I can feed some of them to my toddler, and they refused to do that as well. I will never eat here again. There are too many friendly places to eat in the valley to be treated like this where you spend your money.

Went to Donnas for breakfast new years morning. Ordered and waited 40 minutes for our food at which time we asked how much longer they were just starting it. We canceled the order because we needed to get to the airport. If you have several hours I guess try it.

I really loved the hometown feel of this diner. The staff was friendly and portions were huge! We were on our way to the airport just passing through, so the service wasn’t as fast as we would have liked, but I would definitely go back.

Literally the best breakfast in town. Best bacon and biscuits and gravy. Eggs always perfect. There is an older lady cooking back there and she is unbeatable!!! Portions are fabulous and Donna and her staff are welcoming and kind. One of the waitresses looks like Miranda Lambert… Identical. It has become a Sunday ritual!

Are you REALLY hungry? Then this is the stop for you — you will not leave hungry! All standard breakfast fare cooked and served up hot and tasty. The gravy is excellent and peppery — but the shining star and NOT the normal offering — malted waffles. OMG! Delicious! I could hardly leave it to eat my fluffy omelette. The hubs said the bacon was the best he’d had in a long time. Good service despite being full — very friendly and always on the move! We will be back — malted waffle — wait for me…

I really like Donna’s for breakfast. There are a few breakfast places in Spokane Valley, but this is one of my favorites. The portion sizes are great, the restaurant is clean and the servers are friendly.

Donna is a gem. This is the best breakfast we’ve had in all of the 7 states we’ve visited thus trip. All the food is fresh and cooked to order. Donna came over and introduced herself and really seems to take pride in her place. Food was very good. Had the 2 egg breakfast with hash browns and bacon. Tasted homemade. Kids portions are huge. Too much for my 6 and 8 year old. They devoured the pancakes and were disappointed when the realized we were too far from home to come back.

Had the HOBO omelet and it was awesome! I added country gravy and it made it even better. Wife had The Scramble, had a few more green peppers than she liked but was still good. She also ordered a malted waffle and it was fantastic as well! Great food, it reminds me of the 70’s. A quaint little diner with a mix of standard favorites and lunch items. I definitely will be coming back.

I have had breakfast at Donna’s so many times, it is ‘the’ place we meet friends and family for a meal. The food is home cooked, for those complaining about the breakfast potatoes. I swear if you order a side of gravy to pour over them you will be wishing you would of tried it sooner. Great for kids.

We had brunch with some friends here at their recommendation. We seated ourselves and were promptly given water/coffee and our menus. The place was hoppin, which got us pretty excited about the food(since busy = delicious you know!). Our waitress wasn’t the greatest, but to be fair, they are hiring and may be short handed. It just seemed like she was overwhelmed and we had a bit of a wait because of it. The food, oh my goodness, the food. It was sooo good. This is a great little place to get some comfort food, made just like grandma does it. Try the biscuits and gravy, the portions are huge and the gravy is delicious! The only thing I wasn’t super impressed with, was the hashbrowns, they were kind of bland and pretty starchy. We will definitely be going back to Donna’s next time we’re passing through, the overall experience was great, and I can’t wait to try their other menu items!

The good was cooked awesome and the coffee runth over I even think they might only take checks… I hope not
