If I could post negative stars I would do it.
Worst customer service in this company, hope they stop doing business with the school districts: They are trying to charge me 25% more because I chose to print my checks without an address, which I don’t know yet what does that has to do with taking a photo of your kid.
And when you call them, Customer service, treats you as if you were the one ripping them off, if By any chance Heidi P… answers, better hang up and dial again,

Bryan and the other staff at Dorian Studios has been our preferred photography studio for several years. I own a medium sized insurance agency and use their headshots on our business cards, letterhead and website. The photos always turn out great and their pricing is wonderful. I would highly recommend Dorian for your business photography needs.

Twenty-​some years ago I had my graduation pictures taken here and left pleased with what I (or should I say my father) paid for. Last year we chose to have my son’s graduation pictures taken here. For the most part, I was pleased. They spent a great deal of time with him, taking dozens of photos of him outside in a downtown Spokane «alley tour,» which didn’t suit him all that well as the lighting made him look like he just woke up, and more in the Dorian studio, which suited him much better. We ended up with many, many photos taken in a variety of poses in a number of different outfits.
All-​in-​all we were pleased with the experience, and there were many good photos from which to choose. The turn-​around time was good and the price was right. In fact, I think the prices were about the same as what my dad paid in 1987, because I didn’t *gulp* quite like he did when I told him how much they would cost. Sorry dad! The only surprise during this process was that many of the inside backgrounds were the same ones I stood in front of in my photo shoot twenty-​some years before. It’s time for some creative updates, Dorian.

Great photographers (Bryan/​Greg/​Michelle/​Darrel/​EVERYONE!), the Mark family are the owners and run an amazing photography company. Great customer service. The review below was maybe for the Portland Dorian, and although the same company, this one review is definitely not an accurate review/​indicator for the entire company. Friendly and experienced photographers, excellent quality and care taken for every student. Everyone gets the occasional messy haired school photo (you should see my childhood photos from a different company), but as far as consistency Dorian is as good as it gets! Studio family portraits, Seniors, sports, and school picutres are taken with great care and the resulting pictures will be better than anywhere else.

Let me tell you a tale of a parent’s woe. I was very excited for my son to take his 1^st grade photo. I was sent home a package from Dorian, whom his school had chosen to take the photos. The prices were somewhat high but I figured it would be worth it.
Picture day comes. I sent my son to school with hit buttoned up, white shirt, a blue cardigan and his hair smartly brushed. He took his photo at 10 am. He arrived at school at 8, so what could go wrong, right?!?
When the photos arrived in his back pack I was pissed off. His hair was messed, his shirt unbuttoned and his cardigan was no where to be found. The photo looked as if he was caught given the stink eye to the school bully. The one question I asked myself was, «Who in the hell took this picture like this?». Why would a ‘professional’ think a parent would want this wild and crazy look?
I called and raised hell and they told me they would do a retake. I showed up on retake day to make sure that the ‘professional’ picture taker didn’t screw up again. That session went well and I heard nothing from the «studio» again…
…until this morning. A collection company called and said that the studio sent me to collections for the photos. The photos were taken last month. I paid already and have my credit card receipt AND when I showed up for the session NOTHING was mentioned.
Not only do they take crappy photos, they don’t know how to communicate. I will NEVER do business with them again… EVER.
But if you are interested in a job where you don’t even have to try, look them up online because their phone number doesn’t even work.
