Our family loved the atmosphere at Ferrante’s. We felt very welcome and comfortable with our kids. There were chalkboards and magnets in a little nook to occupy the kids, and children’s meals came with a scoop of gelato, which delighted the young ones. Meal sizes were average for price, and so tasty. The selection was perfect, not overwhelming; but more than just a few different types of pizza. I’m sure we will be back.

I love this place. It has a great atmosphere, is priced very reasonably and the food is terrific. I always plan on trying something new, but the«white hot» pizza is just so good I always go back to it. Lot’s of variety on the wine and hardly a mark up when you buy the bottle. The owner’s are extremely friendly and run a fantastic business. I feel really good supporting this place.

Italy is a passionate country where people are demonstrative in their speech and food, and evokes a feeling of neighborhood and tribe. In Spokane, Washington, Ferrante’s Marketplace Café brings those elements together. The family run restaurant has the vibe and tribe of Italy, with a large assortment of fresh gelato to seal the relationship of food and pleasure. One only has to remember to order at the counter and listen for your name to be yelled out — «…ahhh, now that’s Italian!»

Why is Gelato so good? Dangerously good. Ferrantes has tasty Gelato if you’re ever craving it. I’m not sure what dressing was on my side salad, it was some sort of vinegerette but I’d defintiely consider buying a bottle of it. I went twice in one week because the food was so tasty! I’ve had a calzone and the pesto penne, I personally appreciated the pesto not being too intense. It was the perfect amount.

I had the Greek & Cesar salad and they were both delicious. The Cesar salad’s dressing came on to strong at first but paired along with the bread it was amazing. I will definitely come here again, the salads i had were really good and light. I could not get enough of the bread.

I forget how great it is to go to Ferrantes… whether its lunch, dinner, gelato… or to find a gift! I always end up picking up a gift from the great selection of gift items, purses/wallets and jewelry. Items are cute, unique, not super expensive. Oh, yeah… and the food is great. Our last visit was the pea and bacon oreccetti pasta(yum!) and my friend had the meatballs. Both were great and the prices are very reasonable. The ambiance is nice(not fancy as it’s more café style –you order and pick up your meal)…but its nice and a great place to take friends.

I loved my experience here! Everyone was very friendly, and the food was delicious. I ordered the bacon and peas pasta dish, and it was so, so good. Also, I really liked the ambience — nice and cozy.

This place definitely deserves 5 stars, from its cool system of shop while you wait, to its delicious food, to its great service, to its incredible gelato. I’ve been here at least 15 times, so there must be a reason why I keep coming back for more. Everything I have ordered, I have enjoyed. My favorites are the shrimp salad(comes with their house vinaigrette which is garlicky and delicious), spicy sausage pizza(thin crust which I love), the lasagna(OMG), and the bacon panini(I add tomato and it’s great). I just came back from Italy, so you’d think I’d be pizza’ and gelato’d out, but within a week of being back, I needed some Ferrantes in my life. When you walk in, you grab a menu from the counter and can choose a table. After reviewing the menu at the table, you go back up to the counter to order and can either pay then or pay after you’re done in case you want to add some of their yummy gelato to your order at the end. Then while you’re waiting for your food, you can browse their little shop at the front of the restaurant which is full of great jewelry, clutches, the most amazing smelling candles(some are locally made!) and great bottles of wine(some local and some even from Italy). I want to warn you that if you pay with a card, their receipts don’t have a tip line to leave them something extra. I think this is because it’s not the normal service where the servers are constantly coming to your table but they really are great so I try to remember to bring some cash with me when I go there.

The food(pizza) was incredible, but the service pretty poor. After 25 minutes of our kids having food and us still waiting(our app salads came in good time, but were not the ones we ordered), we approached the staff only to have the female server more concerned about charging us for the food she failed to ring in, than the fact that we still lacked our main courses an hour later. Thankfully, the cook was a complete hero and seeing our distress came right to our table and inquired. 10 minutes after speaking with him we finally had our dinner. It was INCREDIBLE. I had the margherita & my hubby had a Pepperoni & black olive. They were fresh, delicious, hot & amazing. At checkout the server or manager failed to acknowledge their error or offer any compensation. Very disappointing. My advice is plan for terrible service, but go there anyway because the chef is incredible.

Just got back to work from going to Ferrante’s Marketplace with a group of 17! The staff here is JUSTAMAZING. The owner, the waiter Tony(I hope I got that right) Is so gracious and kind. Not to mention, attentive! This is the second time in a month I have gone with a group of 15+ to Ferrante’s. The foods always really yummy, hot, perfect. The pizza is so great. And, I of course, LOVE the pea and bacon pasta.(No kidding, it’s the best!) Everything we asked for, we got! Plus. The only complaint is that it’s a tad bit dark in the restaurant when your eyes are 80+ years old!(And the owner is a COUG, but that can be overlooked by this Huskie! This large group will be back!

This place is fantastic. The food could only be better if the place was actually in Italy. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The store also has a marketplace with lots of nice trinkets from Italy. The store is a little off the beaten path, but well worth it. If you don’t want dinner then come for the gelato at least.

The best beef lasagna. Like too good. It has that fresh homemade by Nonna taste. If you’re looking for authentic Italian which is cheaper than olive garden then look no further! Ferrante has it all from delicious pasta to homemade gelatos!

The white hot pizza is the best! I’ve never had a bad meal here. Spent way more than I should have in the shop but am loving everything I purchased. Great place!

This place has it all! Great fresh food, great wine and beer AND one of the best gift shops around! I just love the store that they have, it has the best simple gifts for all sorts of occasions, if you want a nice locally made gift go get some lunch here and pick it up!

Great little neighborhood spot, tucked away in a strip mall. Don’t let the exterior appearance or location fool you — once you step inside, the place has a nice feel to it. I used to get a sandwich or gelato on the go, but recently I started getting other items like the pizza or calzone(which is my favorite). I have yet to eat anything I don’t like here.

Our family loves Ferrante’s! The boys are especially fond of the Calzones. I love the peas & bacon pasta and bistro steak salad! Exceptional staff and food!

From the outside looking in, the inside can seem dark and a little confusing seeing the marketplace on the right. But I think it just adds to its charm. The outside patio area is my favorite place to eat, as it gets a nice breeze and you can people watch. Once you step inside you approach a counter to the left and the marketplace on the right. They have an interesting way that their restaurant works. You can sit where ever you like and look over the menu and when your ready you go up to the counter and order. You can pay at that moment or wait till your done with your food in case you would like something else or some gelato. The gelato is great, and I’ve lived in Europe and had real gelato! There is a large display case with a pretty decent array of different flavors. The menu has a good range of Italian food, that is well seasoned with good portion sizes. The wait time isn’t bad to get your food, just be sure to listen for your name. Can get busy and packed inside the dining room and around the cashier/order area, but once again it adds to its charm.

Have driven by this place a million times, and we finally decided to try it tonight. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but had recalled seeing 4 of 5 stars from you Unilocalers, and trusted that your might be right. You were — thank you. My husband, a person who could possibly be considered picky, ordered and enjoyed the Lasagne — large portion, looked lovely and he enjoyed it thoroughly. I tried the Chicken Piccatta and thought it was very good, too. Prices for dinner entrees were fair — about $ 12-$ 15 for very good, large dinners — seemed reasonable. Though not a fancy, wait-at-your-table place — the ambiance is nice and was buzzing with energy. We decided we would certainly try Ferrante’s again. We tend to prefer less crowded seating since we like to talk, I’d prefer to not to share my conversation with total strangers — for us, a quiet mid week dinner would be perfect. If you prefer a hoppin’ place — you’d love the Saturday night crowd. The only grumbling I’d share — the menu could be a bit more diverse(Chicken Parmisian would be perfect!) and more draft beers to choose from — they only had three on draft, and one of them was out — … lean picken’s in a world full of places with large draft beer menus. I LOVED the service — people were very friendly and helpful — made the marketplace(order at the counter) more fun and better experience. We look forward to exploring more of Ferrante’s menu and will be going back.
