My boyfriend and I went to Geno’s last night for restaurant week and it was AWESOME!!! If you are a fan of Moontime, Elk, The Porch or Two Seven you will love this place as well! Killer atmosphere, awesome service and the food was of course delicious!!! We started off with some chips and salsa to go with our frosty beverages and their salsa is terrific! Nice and garlicky! Yum! For our first course we both had the Coconut Prawns which were perfectly crispy and the sweet chili sauce was awesome! For our second course, he had the Prawn Mac and Cheese which he loved(although he wished the portion had been larger) and I had the Black Bean Thai Wrap with Sweet Potato Fries. The wrap was delicious! It had tons of flavor and the fries were nice and crispy. For the third course I had the Moon Unit which was nice and rich and he had the Ice Cream Sandwich and man were those gingersnap cookies tasty! All in all the food was delicious but more than that the service and atmosphere were so awesome we can’t wait to go back!

Food, drinks, service, & atmosphere! Geno’s has it down! A great selection of rotating taps never disappoints. You can also count on a great selection in bottles as well as cans. The food is always great. As with the drinks, many different good options are available. All of them are pallet pleasing. Tip: try the corn pasta! No, the atmosphere isn’t hip and trendy. It warm and friendly, just like the service. If you haven’t been to Geno’s you are missing out.

I love Genos! Happy Hour is 3 – 6 and 9 – 12. I like to stop by after class and grab a beer and their garlic fries. Beer = $ 4(used to be $ 3.50 :(). Fries = $ 2 – 3. We usually get an order of fries between a couple people. They give you quite a bit and they are delicious! They have a few TVs which makes it a great place to watch the Zags or the Seahawks. Very similar(if not exactly the same) menu as their sister restaurant, Elk Public House, but that is ok with me. The beef tacos are amazing! The Rueben is very solid as well. No matter what you order, get the corn pasta as a side.

If you like The Elk and The Two-Seven, you’ll love Geno’s! Great pub atmosphere, tasty food, expansive tap list, great patio. Lots of TVs for watching our Zags, too. My parents always took us to Geno’s as kids, and while the menu is totally different, the Elk group has done this Gonzaga-neighborhood classic haunt justice.

I experienced a flavor adventure in the Land of Spo’Zaga today. I was skeptical at first, but hunger won out and I had the Caribbean sandwich with a side of Gumbo. The Gumbo is no joke. You get hit with smoky aromas immediately, followed by flavors that do not disappoint. Then mere seconds after, the humble bowl brings the heat. Not Ghost Pepper kill yourself burning, just that nice bit of warmth that leaves your face a little red and your tongue just a little prickly. Served with some nice bread and butter to temper the fire. Now the sandwich. I experienced a lot of Caribbean and Cuban cuisine in my Navy days. This brought back some great memories of both Florida and my too short stop in Trinidad. Kind of sweet, kind of spicy, but wholly delicious. I recommend a few shakes of the Pirate’s Blend spicy sauce they provide to kick it up a notch. Thank you, Geno’s, for showing me there are some interesting food choices in Spokane.

The Fish and chips, absolutely tasty, fries crispy and perfect match up with the crispy and moist fish! Also the ravioli was the hit! If you’re with someone definitely share with each other;) Service was the best, our waiter was so friendly, helpful and fast! A must try when you’re in need of bite to eat… And on Wednesday night they have live music which was really good :)

Great atmosphere. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the French dip but the corn pasta rocked my world. Service was also on the slow side for being so empty.

Great food+Great beer+Great Music= Genos Genos is a great spot to grab dinner, a beer and maybe catch some great tunes. Beer selection is always thought out. From local brews to regional brews Genos has a beer for you. And if water barley and hops are not your thing they also have wine and a killer craft cocktail menu. The food menu will also give you a great selection to suit any of your hungers. On my most recent trip I tried the Caribbean pulled pork sandwich with a side of the corn pasta salad. The sandwich was a large portion served on a large very fresh French roll. The pork was properly portioned and flavor packed. The sandwich was a perfect mix of spicy, sweet, and a touch citrus. The art of the side dish has been perfected here. The roasted corn pasta is a wonderful compliment to every dish I have had. The cool creaminess of the pasta works well as a ying to the Ginger spice yang of the Caribbean pork sandwich. The pasta can stand alone as a main dish it is amazingly flavored and comforts to the core. I was lucky enough on this night to have the band Folkinception playing live. The band was a capstone to the already great environment. Thank you Genos for great night.

Excellent butternut squash soup! I have been here a few times and the food and service has always been very good. We also like the big screen for watching sports. Easy private parking lot.

My wife and I decided to give Genos a try since they are now under new management. First off we were expecting to have to park on a side street but it turns out they have a nice lot on the south side of the building. Inside the restaurant was nice and open with wood beams showing. There is a garage door that also opens to the patio area that will be nice on a summer visit. As far as the food goes I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with chipotle corn pasta salad. The bun was fresh and a nice add to the sandwich. The chicken was perfectly cooked and covered with a nicely tasting, and not too hot, buffalo sauce. There was also and excellent slaw on the sandwich which gave it another level of flavor. The pasta salad was excellent and just the same as you would get at the sister restaurant, The Elk. My wife had the Pinto Bean Burger which she said was very good although the rye bun overpowered the the rest of the flavors. She really likes rye bread so this wasn’t that big of a deal for her. She actually really enjoyed the bread. For her side she got the fries which were perfectly cooked. These are the regular thinner style fry and not jojo style. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will likely be back in the near future to try one of the other very good sounding choices on the menu.

Geno’s Traditional Food & Ales is a really nice addition to the Gonzaga neighborhood restaurant scene! They have a main seating location, a bar and a cozy outdoor patio space. We ate on the patio and while you can hear a little bit ot street noise, the gorgeous succulent pallet wall-art and charming strings of lights will have you feeling right at home. This is under new ownership after a fire; its now a sister restaurant of The Elk, one of the most popular restaurants in Spokane, so if you looking for the famous, delectable, slightly spicy corn-pasta, you can find it here. You know when you are feeling healthy and diet-y and your husband just want a huge burger? Me either… I’m usually the one wanting a huge burger… but I went here with family this summer and it was a great place for a group because there was something for everyone on the menu. My husband got a kale salad which was delicious and full of flavor, and I got a burger, which was cooked exactly to my preference and covered in sauteed onions, just like I like it. My mother in law got a great Thai dish(not exactly what you’d expect at a place called Geno’s, but they pulled it off!). They have a great beer selection, hearty portions, and the server was knowledgeable and able to answer our specific questions. Speaking of the service, our waitress created some inside jokes with us and left a fun note on our receipt when we paid our bill that still leaves me smiling. I plan to return especially since Geno’s is so effortless and conveniently located near Gonzaga.

We have eaten at two of the sister restaurants, Moontime and the Two-Seven Public House, and have enjoyed all three. We ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken and a pasta dish(I can’t remember the name, but the picture is here) and the garlic fries — all were so good. Good drinks, need more local beer selections although, and the service was great!

Wish I took a picture of the wings when I went. Honestly rhis place is great. Went with my girlfriend and for about 20 bucks we left very happy. The italian sidecar cocktail was a little strong but in the good way so she really enjoyed it. I had a bud light in a bottle but we split an order of wings and they were worth 11 bucks for sure. We had great service too. Dont remember the bartenders name but he was awesome. All in all this place is awesome.

Tonight I suggested going to the onion. My sisters said try this little place, it’s really good. Such a great atmosphere and service. Our waitress was amazing and the food was out of this world! I ordered the pastrami burger and was very happy with my decision! So delicious! The menu has a lot of great options and the pear ale was refreshing after a day of football.

Geno’s has the same amazingly tasty Caesar salad as the Elk. The menu seems almost identical. We had great service when dining in and ordering out. I love that the restaurant opens into the patio.

I came here with a friend last week since it was close to where we live. I was a little hesistant after reading recent Unilocal reviews, but perhaps we chose a good night to come in. Everything was great! Yes, the food is just like the Elk, but it’s really good! They have a good selection of beer and the bartender/server was friendly and attentive. We sat in the small bar room which had a couple of tvs. The larger dining area was dead that night, so maybe that’s why we had such a good experience? I can’t wait until they open the outside patio up!

After really enjoying Geno’s prior to the new owner, I was excited to check out the new menu. I hate to say this but literally everything my table of three ordered was very bad. The menu was fairly limited but I ended up getting a Caesar salad and gumbo. The waiter advised it was so hot that it makes him tear up… definitely did not have the same thing he has been having. It was bland, not spicy whatsoever and had almost none of the ingredients the menu said that it would have(sausage, shrimp, etc). My boyfriend ordered a burger that was overcooked and dry. The service was alright but the food was like just honestly awful.
