Went there this evening for a quick snack with my daughter and had the two shredded beef rice and bean combo(for only $ 7.10). Food was great, salsa bar is great and the service was nice too. The gal at the front desk was very personable.

I love their food, the fish tacos are fantastic. Everything I have ever ordered, i would order again. Prices are good also. Anytime I pick up food and take it back to work, everyone wants to know where I got it, because it smells so good.

We went to Gerardo’s for the first time tonight. We were happy that they offered a good meal at a reasonable price. They have beer(we always like a beer with Mexican food). Although it was a small/diner type atmosphere… it was pretty cozy with both booths and tables and a fireplace. If it weren’t for the bright colors on the wall… it actually would have been a pretty cute little place! I thought my grilled chicken(I had the pollo asada) was really good. My husband had the fajitas mix. My only complaint was the condiments. The guacamole was a green like«cream»??? it was scary looking although I did have some on my tortilla with my chicken and it tasted ok.(not like any guac I’ve ever had before though) and the salsas were more of a chipotle taste and neither my husband or I like that type. We like good old tomato salsa. So… we’ll go back… but we’ll do takeout so that we can have our own salsa and guac.

Fish taco: tasted fresh and delicious. Their sauce was very creamy and complimented the fish and the salsa well. Double tortillas as they usually come… Two thumbs up. Arisona burrito(California): I’m from San Diego so I ordered the California burrito with sour cream and guacamole with no pico. I asked for fries instead potatoe and that’s the Arisona they said. So I got the Arisona lol. Big burrito. Full of good carne asada and crispy fluffy fries. Sour cream came on the side but still good when I drizzle it in each bite. Two thumbs up. Salsa: good selection. I find atilanos red salsa too spicy so it was nice to have a red with the heat turned down a bit. Good pepper taste. Overall a great place for a burrito! I will be back for sure!

Free chips and salsa with your order! :) Great shrimp burrito, too! It’s saucy, juicy, and a huge portion size for under $ 7. Definitely worth it.

Got their breakfast burrito this morning, delicious! On the phone I just said«breakfast burrito» little did I know once I got there and saw the menu, there about 6 different kinds of breakfast burritos. Luckily one is actually named«breakfast burrito» so it didn’t pose any issues. It had ham, scrambled eggs, and pico. For $ 4.50 it’s an awesome value. Gerardo’s does not skimp. I’ve also had their carna sada burrito. They put a ton of meat in it and I love it. This place is comparable to Fiesta Brava up north, just smaller portions(and less expensive).

Absolutely love! We used to eat at Abelardo’s every other week when it was open, and now that it’s closed this is a great substitute! Essentially the exact same menu and pricing, same(slooooooooow) service, and same delish(though not extremely high quality) food! Taco Tuesday, thy name is Gerardo’s!

I bought a super burrito with carne asada and it was delicious. It was huge and packed full of fresh tasting ingredients. I will definitely eat there again in the near future.

If you want to eat the best Mexican in Spokane this is the place. If wasn’t for this place I would starve. Have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once.

We had breakfast there this morning, because the husband was craving menudo. Met the owner, who’s a super nice guy, because we got there a little bit early and they weren’t ready yet. So we drove around and waited, and we’re so glad we did. The menudo was reported as delicious, and my huevos rancheros plate was awesome. Hot, fresh, homemade, authentic. We’re from Texas; we know authentic Mexican food! Highly recommended. The store and restaurant are clean and well-stocked, with home-made tortillas, salsa, guacamole and a good produce section. Get over there!

There are only few times of great authentic Mexican food in the inland NW. We had the super nacho with only 7.5 bucks. Super good! Support!

The best Mexican food in Spokane! I just found this place and can’t believe how great the food is. I’ve gone there three times in the last four days. My favorite dish so far is the fajita burrito. It’s loaded with fresh jumbo shrimp, Carne Assad, juicy chicken, and Bell Peppers. With very little rice or beans. The burrito is easily over two ponds and It’s $ 5.50. It’s DOUBLE the size of the XXL burrito at Taco Bell and has sit down restaurant quality ingredients. I don’t know how this is real you just have to see it to believe it. Further the cooks and servers have are super warm and friendly every time I come in. With that said be aware this is not a like inca or Azteca the atmosphere feels like a fast food chain. But the food is actually better than most of the food you’d get at a nice sit down restaurant. Quantity of Food: 10⁄10 Value of Food: 10⁄10 Atmosphere: 5⁄10 Quality of Food: 8⁄10 Service: 10⁄10

Omg. I haven’t had Mexican like this since SoCal. They don’t have the traditional plates, but stick to the basics. They are VERY good at the basics!

I’ve only tried the drive-thru but I imagine they serve the same food to those of us in our cars as they do to walk-in guests so I think I’m safe to recommend that you try the ceviche tostadas. The tangy, lemony fish with fresh salsa was so delicious paired with the crunch of the corn tostada. The carne asada tacos were tasty too. I tried their combo plate with re-fried beans and rice and it was a much larger meal than I was banking on… enough to share, which I did. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. This is solid Mexican food and I’ll be back again.

First time 2 weeks ago from this review. I brought 7 dudes to pick up some Mexican’s to go ;). They cooked our food well with time, the cashier was friendly, and most of us spoke Spanish so we where able to put it to practice a little :) the cashier was a bit Surprised. I had the super nachos with chicken. VERY good. One of my friends had a steak burrito they where very impressed with because of the amount of more steak it had than the other condiments inside. I recommend giving this place a try for sure!

This was our first visit to Gerardo’s and it was excellent. The prices were cheap, the food was very good, and we’ll probably start eating here more than we should. The carne asada burrito was stuffed with meat, guac, and pico. It was about the size of my forearm. Everything about this was very tasty. My wife had the bean & cheese burrito which she said was very good. It was also huge. Atilanos has long been my favorite Mexican food in Spokane. I’d say the carne asada burrito at Gerardo’s has the edge over Atilanos version by a very narrow margin. If your looking for very good Mexican food this place is worth a try. Once you do you might just be hooked.

Update 4÷15÷14: Well it certainly looks like Gerardo’s has hired the person who is also in charge of quality at Chevrolet. Seriously a poor showing of both quality and service. The meat has no flavor to it and tastes overdone. The chips are stale and the salsa has only heat and no flavor. Also the guy at the counter didn’t know what shredded beef picadillo) is. $ 19 for two entrees and a couple of drinks is a $ 20 overcharge in my opinion. But that’s just me. If you don’t like flavor and fresh food dont listen to me. Definitely an opposite experience from before. I don’t know what happened. At least the rice was good.
