Longhorn BBQ

So, as we did last year, we did this year. Yep… SuperBowl Party. And that means ordering a mixed platter from Longhorn. Last year was great. Even the platter looked appetizing. Ribs, chicken, sausage, beans and corn muffins. But hold your horses! Round up the cattle. This year was a bust. And a big one at that.
Platter was ready for pickup. Got it home. And well… It wasn’t pretty. Everything mixed up in one aluminum container. The ribs were so tough we couldn’t bite into them easily. The chicken had little flavor at all. The sausage… Well if had no flavor. It was… Just chewing what felt like rubber. Loaded sauce (plenty of that provided) just to get a BBQ taste. The muffins… Hope the birds liked them as theses were not the same corn muffins we had before. The BBQ beans… thank goodness they were tasty! 2 stars only because we ate the beans. Otherwise 1 star
My party was disappointed. I spent $ 60 bucks for this family feast and enjoyed only the beans. At end of the game, we hardly touched the ribs, chicken, sausage. What a waste. Needless to say, I will not order again.

Takes for e v e r… second visit. both times order took over an hour… the beef was sliced thin and very dry and out of baked potatoes.
Surprisingly, chili is very good. Not a fan of the bbq or the rediculous wait time.

What happened to this place? It used to be the best. It’s now very expensive for mediocre food.

This is an old review, but I have not been back since. I have been in several times for lunch buffet and all but once I thought it to be very good. The one time that determined I will not return occurred when I took my boss in for dinner. We both had the brisket which was on a special. The only special thing about it was that it could have been successfully used as shoe leather. We both complained and were rebuffed and told that it was there best. It was absolutely terrible. We walked out. I was so pissed that I went in the next day and bitched about it and the manager wanted me to pay for the night before. I not so politely told him he could stick it where the sun don’t shine. 2 stars because of the good buffet. 0 stars for the dinner.

Lunch buffet is totally worth the money. It was fully stocked and delicious. It had both beef and pork ribs which surprised me for the price of the buffet. It was awesome. The Cole slaw wasn’t as good as my moms. But hey. Can’t expect that! The beans were probably my favorite part which is silly because both kinds of ribs were also very good.
I’m impressed.

What happen to this place? It used to be a busy place and consistently good, now it is a dump. The servers are great, and happy, but the meal was horrendous, no one in our group ate their steak, we you couldn’t eat your steak. Where did they get this meat?
I will never be back and by the looks of it many others have already decided not to frequent this place again.
Please fix the issue and get back to the basics.

Delicious food and friendly service!!! I don’t get why this place has bad reviews. I really enjoyed the food! We came early in the afternoon and were greeted by a friendly young lady right away and she directed us to our table, server came over very quickly and brang us our drinks quickly as well. Since we chose the buffet, we just got up and started dishing up. I was in love with my food. Very authentic barbeque. I would love to come back soon.

The menu was limited and priced more the typical BBQ fare. I Ordered the Pile on Brisket sandwich which was a supreme disappointment as it was mostly bun with a little beef brisket then topped with a big layer of German Sausage then another layer of the top bun. The whole sandwich tasted like German sausage and if I wanted German sausage then I would get that from a food truck. Ugh– who whats to get BBQ that is German sausage. I picked off the layers of German sausage and the top layer of the bun. Left me a portion of brisket– Go to Dickies if you want real barbecue instead. Longhorn brisket has too much fat, tasted like German sausage more then brisket– The side order of cole slaw was tasteless– The only good thing about the whole meal was the unsweetened ice tea– The cost of my disappointed was over $ 13.00 plus the ice tea added made me want to scream as it was over $ 16.00 for one person not counting the tip — -
Dickies would have cost less and I would have gotten value for my money. It is just too far to drive to get to the way North area. But will make that drive next time if I am craving good BBQ.
This was the 3^rd time I visited a Longhorn BBQ — I had been optimistic and hoped for a better experience this visit. Guess I had a very slow learning curve. I will not make that mistake again and will warn everyone I know not to get the Brisket sandwich at Longhorn if they want a good brisket sandwich. Wish I could get my money back for that meal.

The vegetables were HEAVENLY! That was my first taste and I was amazed!
Second bite was of the Sirloin Steak that came with my ribs; it was incredible too!
The fully loaded baked potato was baked to perfection and loaded exquisitely. FIVE stars on the baker too!
I just tried the ribs and they’re to die for!
Overall I give this place FIVE stars…
Unfortunately, they need to control the fly problem. If ONE fly lands on my table during my dinner… MINUS one star! And that’s what happened.
Everything was perfect except for my one uninvited guest… and he was gone soon too, but but before making an impression on me.

Good BBQ with a friendly smile to greet you at the door. Their buffet was pretty decent that included over ten options for a plateful and a full salad bar with soup. Not Texas BBQ but it will suffice for the NW w/​o complaints. Nice open dining area with tributes to the military on the walls. A very cozy atmosphere with mouth watering smells throughout the facility that keeps you eagerly waiting for your meal.

Just had Dinner there tonight, usually it’s good but wow tonight sucked, salad bar was not clean or stocked rolls ice cold. Ordered the platter for the family cornbread hard as a rock, bbq beef was burnt and served to us potato salad bottom of the tub, beans burnt and slaw should be axed even though it is store bought. No manager in site chef must have been on a smoke break. Wife got tea didn’t order and charged for it. Just Bad all around
