This restaurant gets one extra star for the huge portions of food, but that’s about it. I was there with 2 other people who each got a chicken fried steak meal. Neither of them could even get through half, there was so much food. I went for an omelet and received about as much food as IHOP, maybe a bit less. In comparison, my meal looked like a kids meal. The hash browns were decent, if not a bit bland. Same for the meat filled omelet. It was adequate. Actually, even the coffee was just that — adequate. Now we get to the fun part. I reached for the toast, got some jelly ready, flipped over the toast, and I see parts of it were green. OMG. Almost puked. Couldn’t touch the rest of the toast and I can’t help but wonder if I should have inspected the rest of the meal before eating.

The diner, as others say, is pretty cool. It is right next to the runway at Felts Field. The décor inside is, naturally, aviation themed. The first time I ate here I wasn’t expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. The food here is really quite good, above average for a typical diner. The staff is also very friendly. I’ve eaten a few times here, now, and haven’t been disappointed yet. I will be coming back again!

Good food — portion sizes are generous. Prices average for a diner. If you love aviation you’ll enjoy the aviation theme of the place. Good service..

Really tasty food, friendly staff and a unique dinning experience. This is definitely going on the short list of fun dining with the family.

Typical of people from Spokane who have never been anywhere else to think this is good food. Disgusting, cheap, processed food served in a restaurant that capitalizes on their proximity to an airfield in hopes of trying to be unique. You can put up as many model airplanes in your restaurant as you want it doesn’t help the fact that you serve shitty food and deceive elderly patrons. An easy one star review. I hope this place gets shut down.

My kids love to go here and see all of the model air planes while we eat some of the best breakfast we have ever had.

Always one if my favorite lunch spots in Spokane. Good food, fast friendly service, and a great value. And there’s just something so nostalgic for me hanging out at a small regional airport.

Good hearty food. Location is the best. My toddler son loves this«Planes» theme restaurant and the view out to the muni airport with small planes landing and taking off. Good service.

Went here for breakfast again today, always great! There is nothing like home cooked food to warm your heart. Great atmosphere, especially if you are into aviation, but even if you are not this hidden gem is great! I have never had a bad experience or bad food here, the staff is great and the food is better. If you go here get a slice of their homemade pie, or a freshly baked cinnamon roll, both amazing choices!

The outside is all art deco and the inside is a blast of airplanes. Its a seat yourself kind of diner with plenty of places to sit inside. The Skyway Café has a HUGE menu. I went with my standard first time breakfast of the half order of the corned beef hash, hash browns, scrambled eggs and toast. The hash browns were chunky and delicious. The corned beef hash tasted like the canned variety and the eggs were ok. Pretty good amount of food for the half order, wouldn’t need the bigger plate. My husband had the half order of the biscuits and gravy, which was huge! This was amazing peppery gravy with sausage bits in it. The bacon was AMAZING! Best bacon in Spokane. Thick and crispy deliciousness! Our waitress was super friendly and patient with us. She explained how large the whole orders of food are. We will be back to try more items on their wide variety menu! If nothing else, give me an order of their bacon with a side of bacon.

Diner style restaurant in an amazing Art Deco building at the old Spokane airport. You feel like you fell into the 1930’s. Be prepared for the best greasy spoon in the area. Nice people and WAY more food the one person should ever try to consume. Get the ½! It’s not fancy, but it’s fun, filling, fast, friendly, and good!!! Worth the drive to no man’s land.

Great old time diner food! There is nothing I haven’t tried that I didn’t like. The kids love watching the planes come and go. So do us big kids!

After going there since a teen, today was our last visit. We won’t be back. We’ve always gone for breakfast and generally been satisfied. Today the service was cold and the food was disgusting. The hubbs and I ordered a burger and when it came it looked like a soy burger and felt like one too. We couldn’t finish it, it was so gross. We each also opted for the $ 2.50 extra for salad and it wasn’t even 1 cups worth. We won’t be going back b/c we both are wondering what other places they are«making cuts» to make a bigger profit. We’ll be much happier at Little Euro.

Of all the places I’ve tried in and around the Spokane area, Skyway Café easily gets my vote for the BEST breakfast around! Regardless of the fact that sitting near the Felts Field runway grants a brilliant view of planes taking off and landing, the food and service are always excellent. Anything on the breakfast menu is guaranteed to satisfy and be quite tasty. If you order one of the gooey and delicious«cinnamon rolls,» know that they are truly humongous and could feed a small army. Enjoy!

Great for breakfasts! Lovely atmosphere with tons of flight memorabilia with a view of the flight line. Gets pretty busy after 9 on Sundays so be sure to get here early! If it’s busy it can take a bit for your server to come back around to you but once they do your food comes out quick! Be wary of the full size and half size portions because full size is pretty big depending on what you’re ordering, so just ask your server what you get for half order!

We had lunch there with some friends. The service was friendly on a Sunday around 2 pm. Having just returned from a flight with our grandson, our cousin the pilot suggested this place, and nothing could have been better in terms of ambiance post flight. The food was not spectacular, although my wife had a reuben that was exceptional. Still the memorabilia on the walls was well worth checking out. The building they are in is next to the runway in a 1932 art deco style building. It is a diner, nothing fancy, but we really enjoyed it. I had to laugh as we asked for Dijon mustard, and nope, they didn’t have that, «or that Grey Poupon stuff». We grabbed a great souvenir t-shirt for $ 15, and a couple hats for $ 20 each, we enjoyed it that much. I left a big tip, and left with a big smile, for enjoying a piece of history like this was completely unexpected.

It gets +5 stars for being at an airport with a view of both runways. Other than that it’s a nostalgic style diner, biscuits and gravy, patty melts, liver and onions type place. The food is consistent and edible but nothing to write home about. The service is usually professional and quick. They lose a star for their prices which don’t seem to match the food they are serving, if they were more in line with diner prices then their location alone would garner 5 stars.

Prices are really good! And the décor is just great for airplane junkies! Plus you can watch small planes leave and land! Did I mention the prices are pretty good? I have three boys who eat like seven, so we have to watch the dollar signs. I was amazed at the variety on the menu and how many full on breakfasts were $ 8 or under. I had a non menu special. Spinach and feta omlette with Hollandaise. Holy cow was it great. One of my sons had biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was amazing! Not too salty like a lot of places do, and great flavor. Coffee, just wonderful. I like my froo froo mochas and all that, but some days you just need a basic cup o’ joe that stands on its own. And this does nicely. The tables have aerial navigation charts printed on them, which I think was just a great touch. This place is just a little off the beaten track, but SO worth the extra couple minutes to locate. Being right next to an airfield makes for fun viewing while you eat. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and made Sunday family breakfast really nice. Look forward to our next visit.
