Shady business. My husband and I went in with his broken iPhone 5s w/no insurance two weeks ago to see what can be done. We spoke to Chris. He told us that on November 1st(today), we could come back in for our upgrade and he would take care of us. We asked him if we needed to bring the phone, he said yes. We asked if we needed to get it repaired first, he said no. He said bring it in «as is» and he would«take care of us». We went ahead and went in today before calling to see if Chris was there. Another man was there, unfortunately, I forgot to get his name, but saw on his name tag that he was a supervisor. He sent a text to Chris asking what he was planning to do to help us out with trading in our broke phone. My husband saw Chris’ reply, stating that we were lying and that he would never take a broken phone. Whether he was lying to cover his own behind to his supervisor, or leading us on and letting us think he could actually help, I don’t know. Regardless, the only option we were given was to pay off the remaining balance we owed on the phone to get the upgrade. I will not go back to this store for the simple fact that I was called a liar for being given wrong information and then trying to pass that information along.

Gonna share a little phone background and my specific experience here. My family of 5 and I have been with sprint for about 7 years with a 2 year returning contract. Contract, different from a plan, according to sprint is the old way they don’t use anymore, but if you are in one and kept it they still acknowledge its and your existence. So I went to this sprint with my iPhone 5c 16gb to inquire about upgrading to an iPhone 6. a A gentleman at sprint was kind and informative about my options, then eventually he started telling me of a new family plan sprint has. Something like: first 2 lines $ 100 each with unlimited data, anyone else until 8 more people $ 40 a month. Well in comparison to my family’s contract cost would have stayed the same. On the iPhone 6, I was eligible for an upgrade, BUT I would have had to pay for the phone fully, the guy said I can leave then and there without paying, but come the bill it’s $ 20 a month until I pay it off… All my previous phone upgrades have been free! … No thank you… Is what I thought. To conclude I left with my questions answered and no iphone 6, which is ok. I’m not going to pay a full price for something that should not cost that much. Another note, depending who you get one of their staff is too fast a talker, in my opinion, I came in a second time because I had to process what that guy told me the first time and have it clarified.
