I love taco trucks but this one had me a bit disappointed. Although the tacos were alright, they just were not my favorite, pretty bland with no real taste to the tacos de adobada. I did get the red and green salsa and if anyone follows me on Unilocal they know i love my salsas and love them super spicy but, these salsas really sucked. I had to throw them away(and i never throw salsa away) but i think they have gone over their expiration. The staff was really nice and quick during the lunch hour but, i do not see myself going again.

Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Fast service, quality food, friendly employees. Definitely a top Spokane destination for tacos! I didn’t review the burritos because I didn’t have one, but the meats are top notch!

Everything you want in a taco truck. They even put fresh serranos in my burrito per my request. friendly, prompt, professional service from a food truck that probably wouldn’t have to be any of these things.

I’ve eaten here several times in the last month and each time it has been fantastic. Great tasting food, friendly people working there and good prices. I normally don’t do food trucks, but several co-workers recommended it. I’m glad they did as it would have been my loss. Wish them continued success.

I been trying to start a new Unilocal for the one on 29th, but Unilocal keeps denying it so I will post it here, there are 2 trucks. One is downtown, one is on 29th and Regal. I have been to both. The downtown location I would simply give 5 stars too, however, this review is based off the 29th street location. The food is fantastic, one of my top 2 mexican food joints in Spokane. Their tacos, burritos and quesadillas are to die for, and we have tried several other things off the menu as well. Nothing has disappointed. I would easily give this place more stars, but nothing annoys me more then a business with a schedule that isn’t open half of the time they are supposed to be with no further notice. The truck on the south side, they disappear for a week at a time, then come back and are closed for several days. You just never know when they are going to be open. I make the trip frequently during when business hours are supposed to be and consistently let down. Maybe once, every 10 times I go there or drive by, they are actually open. I called the one downtown once just because I was worried they moved, they told me they would be back open the next day, so I made the trip, then got there, and it was closed once again. They have their own number, but good luck trying to find it. I searched via google, and the numbers on the truck are all for the downtown location. Needless to say, I dont call the downtown truck for info anymore. I just wish when going to be closed for several days, or weeks, they update their facebook to let us know when it will be open, or if the truck is out there closed for several days, they put a notice on it saying when it will reopen. I’m sure because it’s summer they probably have a ton of catering events, which is understandable but it would be nice to be aware they will be closed before going out of my way to get there. Sadly, I have moved onto other mexican restaurants instead of being dependent on them. However, as far as food goes and service goes(when they are open) its definitely top notch. Quick, reasonably priced, and its a family business so they are super friendly. Oh, and don’t let the«truck» fool you, I have had the best mexican food of my life off of mexican food trucks. Oh-and they take credit cards too! I will definitely upgrade this review to a better standing once I see them open more regularly.

Everytime I stop here I’m very happy that I did. I’ve been coming to get street tacos and sopes for a few years and it is always consistently delicious. My friends have got various burritos and they rave about them as well. Sopes are good sized, not overly fried, and moist. There are very few places in Spokane that make them, and I can’t say I’ve had any in Spokane that are up to its quality. All the salsas and vegetables are very obviously fresh, everything is well sessoned, and the portions and price are very reasonable. I dont really have anything negative to say about this place, other than I wish they would park outside my work and/or home.

Nice! Been looking for quick and easy street tacos and these are great. $ 1.50 per taco. I went to the 29th& Regal location. I will definitely be coming back. Only problem is wanting to try other things on the menu but also wanting to get what I know is great.

This taco truck is great. Super Fast, super cheap, great customer service. The burritos are awesome. Super convenient for when I don’t have a lot of time or money on my lunch break.

I don’t live in the area anymore, but this place was great for Spokane. Regardless of your feelings on Spokane, the Mexican food scene is really bad. Tacos El Sol is a bright spot, but as another reviewer stated it’s a Spokane Mexican 5 star rating they just wouldn’t get in LA or even Seattle.

I’m gonna be honest– I was very skeptical about a taco truck. but it is SOGOOD! It is owned by a sweet family and is very clean. I go here once a week and never have any complaints!

I love street tacos. So I’m always looking for a new place to try. Saw reviews for this place and was excited to try… and was very let down. I ordered, and it was ready in about 2 minutes. Which means the meat is pre-cooked and just warmed up. The chicken tacos were not good… at all. The pork and beef tacos were pretty good though. I was given my to-go box and popped the lid as I was walking away. Saw no salsa so I went back and asked if there was salsa in there and was told there was. I was in a hurry so walked back to my office a few block away to sit and eat. I got no salsa. Fail. So on top of mediocre tacos I coudln’t even mask it with salsa. I have tried at least 6 different places. The best, hands down is Taco Guero in the Valley off of Pines. It takes longer, but the meat is cooked fresh! Right then and there. Their chicken tacos are the best I’ve ever had. They lightly season it and all tacos they LOAD them up with meat. I go any possible time I can. Also, their salsa is probably my favorite as well. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t made from scratch as well as it tastes so fresh. Guero wins hands down!

As far as food trucks go, this one is amazing! Usually located on the corner of W 1st and Washington, this tasty truck delivers high quality and very authentic Mexican cuisine. One of my favorites by day or late night but watch out, their hours are not 100% consistent so don’t bank on them being open when they«usually» are.

It was my first time experiencing a taco truck and Tacos El Sol is my lucky first. We were on a road trip and the first stop was Spokane. After aimlessly walking around town trying to locate the demolished historical Chinatown, we wanted some tacos. It was sound stomach logic. We ordered the various tacos on the menu and I got the one with chorizo while my friend had the more exotic beef tongue. The tacos looked pretty delicate and made to be a large bite size. Maybe it was the chorizo but my taco was super salty but a great combination of flavors for a bite. My friends all love their tacos and it was a fun street food experience. Watching and betting your friends to see if they can eat it in one bite was an entertainment itself. For the ones with more bland tastebuds, staying away from the chorizo might be a good idea.

Listen up Spookaloo’s — this is the real deal for street tacos. The lengua was outstand as was the pollo, their condiments just perfect, including their homemade hot sauce –yummy yum yum. We all know that Spokane is Mexican food deficient(along with Chinese and Greek) so we transplants settle for places like Taco Tumbras or Deleon’s(both pretty good for Spokane standards), but if you really want a bit of Mexico, a tantalizing of your taste buds that brings you back to strolling Tijuana as a young teenager(hey we all have our past) or trips to Rosarito or Cabo then this is the place for you. SIDEBAR: If you think Azteca, Rancho Chico, Caso De Oro, etc., is real Mexican food than please keep your mind open when you eat here. This is authentic and it may not be what you expect but trust me it’s way better than the crap they serve at those places.

Such great street food. Walla Walla tacos as good as you can get. Open late nights, and a super fast tasty lunch.

So, first of all — anything that has any variation of yellow cheese and Daisy sour cream on it isn’t authentic. For some reason, lots of people seem to love that crap and unfortunately these places have to cater to these palates rather than maintaining their integrity to stay in business. So, if you’re looking for something authentic here, grow a pair and order something you can’t pronounce or something you’ve never tried before. Chances are you’ll probably like it if it’s made from a Mexican.(For example: if you haven’t already tried it order lengua instead of asada, don’t ask questions, just try it) And lastly, put your own dang salsa on it. The salsa verde with avocado they have there is awesome, don’t worry, it’s not really spicy, but a lot of the times you have to ask for it. Is Tacos el Sol the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Spokane? No Does it deliver on the flavor anyway? Sure Where is the most authentic food in Spokane? La Michoacana. Chances are you’ve never heard of it, and that’s probably a good thing, because that means it’s still been untainted by the demands for«American ingredients»(i.e. yellow cheese and chimichangas). You will be the only non-Mexican immigrant person there but don’t let it make you feel uncomfortable, consider it a good sign. Source: I come from Mexican parents and have traveled to Mexico probably 50 times.

Ok. Um… I’m kind of a taco professional. I lived in Mexico for a while, and I KINDOFKNOWHOWTACOSGO. I’ve been to this particular truck twice. Once drunk(ish), once totally sober. Drunk(ish) I got two asada tacos that were fine. I wasn’t impressed, even inebriated. The second time, I had a burrito. Poor life choice. Mistake to the max. Why? 1: crappy asada 2: Yellow cheese 3: Lettuce — Lettuce has no place in an «authentic» mexican burrito. 4: When asked what salsa I wanted, I said«hot». I didn’t think«hot» meant«enchilada sauce». It wasn’t hot at all. It was scarcely salsa. It was runny and flavorless with barely any heat behind it. What is the mild salsa like? Milk? Milk tacos? ew.
