Yum! Enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the tasty treats… our waiter’s recommendations did not disappoint — loved the Irish Donkey and Millionaire Manhattan. Wanted to try everything on the menu, and settled for the brisket sandwich, fries, and mac n cheese, all of which were so delicious and enough to share amongst a few gals. Thanks for the lively service Justin!

We had great service! They had a amazing beer selection on tap. Fun atmosphere and the food was delicious! My husband had the Brisket sandwich… which he said was the BEST he had ever eaten and he ordered another one to GO! This is a first for him at any restaurant and he travels a lot. I ordered the Turkey and dumplings. I thought it would be turkey with traditional fixings and I am happy to say it wasn’t! It came in a cool tiny cast iron pot with stuffing like dumplings with delicious turkey carrots potato sand peas! A new modern twist on Thanksgiving and a pot pie! We will definitely go back!!! Cheers

First, parking is absurd. Second, the same lacking service as Manito Tap House. Third, absolutely nothing compelling about returning to someplace that is all steel and concrete and echo. The usual collection of fried whatnot.

Shut up! Ive resurrected My Unilocal JUST because of The Blackbird. You remember when Wendy’s did the Baconator? WRONG. The Blackbird does bacon. EAT that Mi Mi burger(2 types of bacon, candied and shoulder) and you’ll know. EAT that bacon grease popcorn and you’ll know. The Blackbird is the bomb, and if i were even in SpSpSpSpSpokaiiiine again, id eat there first. Yowzerrrrrrr!

Congratulations to the executive chef and owner of The Blackbird for creating outstanding food, killer ambiance, and bring trendy dining to Spokane. This place is exactly what Spokane needs. Spokane is finally emerging from it’s rampant chain restaurant glut. The Blackbird is a massive step in the right direction. The restaurant offers an exceptional beer selection, mouth watering gastronomic selections, and eloquent execution of presentation and service. I cannot think of a signal criticism for this gem. I could also imagine this place is good for events but would not know the details. I went for lunch but am excited to try for dinner and brunch; my family says it’s amazing. Welcome to Spokane, The Blackbird; you’ve made us better already.

Really enjoyed the cool different menu items. The interior décor was great too, something different and lovely to behold. Couple of items to keep in mind: menu is pricey. Not exactly a place I’d go if budget was a concern — which it almost always is these days! I had the cool corn dogs, and there was literally a coating of corn starch in between the breading and the sausage, that you could see and taste. I thought it very odd. That was undoubtedly a mistake and should be rectified by their kitchen staff in prep… otherwise the mini corndog entrée was very good. The sausage was hot, nice and the breading was like a sweet cornbread. I also ordered the mac n’ cheese, a lifetime favorite. I remember it being good and hearty… very filling. Overall a cool new place for Spokanites.

Disappointing… We went for dinner last night and it was really a terrible experience but not because of the food but because of the service and our waitress. The food was really good but we were completely rushed through every course while our waitress watched us like a hawk the entire time, always hovering. We asked to start with the Twisted Pretzels and then after that we wanted to do restaurant week and have Mac & Cheese, Brisket Sandwiches and then the Coffee Donuts and Chocolate Bread Pudding. Well the pretzels and the Mac & Cheese came out at the same time(probably 5 min after we finally got our drinks) so that was annoying sine we wanted them separately but then we aren’t even half way through the apps and our dinner is out all the while our server Kelsey is hovering around our table. It was so irritating and we were so rushed we just couldn’t even take a minute to enjoy anything. Then to top it off you were supposed to get a free beer with each of our sandwiches which she told us twice and then charged us until she watched me calculating the bill. Again, the food really was generous and delicious but totally ruined by our service. I really wanted to try out their regular menu too but not if I were going to be treated the same.

This place is pretty cool. Decent food selections, but great beer menu. We tried the pig wings(tails)…ok. Not what I expected… pretty bony(like a turkey neck). We both had Black Bird burgers… very good. I’ll be back.

I really have to hand it to «The Blackbird» for their creativity and not being afraid to think outside the box! Their taste, presentation, and service are all 5 star. Props to their chef for keeping things fresh & fun. 3 words: Bacon. Fat. Popcorn. Their brisket sandwich was to die for as well as their garlic fries. I will definitely be coming back! Can’t wait to try their brunch.

We used to come here for brunch frequently and the food is great. I would highly recommend trying the smoked brisket and gravy at least once in your life. I am very sad to be giving this restaurant two stars, as this was one one of my favorite breakfast spots, due to service and atmosphere during brunch. This restaurant is not kiddo friendly and everytime time I have been there for brunch, the staff has been very unhelpful and almost unfamiliar with their menu when asked about items for children, almost to the point of being rude. Things like asking for water for my 1 year old three times and asking for smaller portions or a side of something like a pancake for her is something they won’t do because of pre-portioned meals, as I was told. The last three or four Saturdays we went, I left feeling very upset about the way we were treated for dining with a small child and decided I should share our experience, I used to work in the restaurant industry and I understand the vibe they are going for, but I would say this. The location is bad for this kind of place, as it is the closest restaurant to a very family friendly hotel and near a popular park. Also, parents with kiddos need to get out once in awhile too and many don’t have options to leave their kiddo at home. If your offering a brunch menu, chances are there will be families attracted to the delicious menu. The food is great, 5 stars actually. Try it, but leave your kids at home.

Phenomenal food and great staff. Um I could have ordered everything from the brunch menu… so we did 1) dutch baby = 6 year old niece devoured it 2) toad in a hole = better than mom uses to make 3) burnt ends hash and veggies = took an hour to eat the thing 4) french pressed coffee with chocolate shavings 5) pork belly egg, potatoes on a ginormous biscuit bigger than your head. To die for 6) biscuits and gravy was mother approved 7) corn read waffle mix hush puppies for an appetizer were a hit with a 3 little kids. Whole darn family loved every minute of our foodie experience

This place is awesome. The atmosphere is worth it alone. The food and drinks were both amazing(we went for brunch). The price was great for how much food we got and the quality. Local and green! Bravo!

We reserved the smaller banquet room(The Dairy Room) for a non-traditional wedding reception and it turned out gorgeous and perfect for what we wanted! Chris, the manager, was great at accommodating us and made sure the room was ready for us when we arrived. Our server, Jessika, was so sweet and even handled a few difficult guests in our party with ease. She set limits for them as well which helped take some pressure off of us so we could have the night we were hoping for. We brought in a few decorations, our own cake and used their TV/Audio to play our own videos and even some of our own music. We couldn’t have asked for anything better! Thank you Blackbird!

Ok, very good food, amazing presentation. Almost everything is served deconstructed, so that is how my review will be as well. See photos for descriptions. Fun times, good food, great service.

Have you ever been to a place that comes up short because it goes just a tad too far? That is The Blackbird. It’s like… wearing an Armani suit that is 1 size too big. First, let me state that the service was top notch. More on that later. Our order: French onion soup, turkey and dumplings, Mi Mi, and fries. Drinks were a sangria and two beers. Total bill before tip was $ 73. So the price point isn’t bad. The French onion soup is good, but heavy on the onion while tasting like a beef broth. I was left wanting more. More salt, more flavor, more cheese, more croûton. For $ 8, I wanted more. Dial back the presentation and amp up the flavor. The turkey and dumplings was similar. Tasted fine, presentation was great, but where was the thing that would make it memorable? It was missing. Then The Mi Mi. Great ingredients, great presentation — but the sandwich was so oily that it took away any potential wow factor. The fries were similar… just, well, too much of something. Fries are an easy thing to master. Desert though. My wife ordered the Butterscotch pie. Her order had a hard pastry and she politely told the waitress and mentioned that it was very good, just seemed off. The waitress came back with a whole new desert(after my wife ate much of the first one), with no questions asked. I didn’t try it, but she raved about how good it was. So not only was the desert outstanding, but the service was awesome! There is a lot of potential here and I hope they master the quirks. We will be back to try brunch. The service alone will have us giving the Blackbird another go.

What Chrissy L said. Horrible food, good service. Bread products taste stale. Lamb burger dry, brisket was far too fatty.

Showed up, no reservation(that’s how I roll). Waited about 20 minutes, wasn’t bad. Some of the tables by the kitchen are super loud due to the kitchen and being in close proximity of the other diners. However the wine drunk U-Cougars(Ugly Cougars) didn’t help as they were cackling the whole time my girlfriend and I were eating. The pretzel appetizer is pretty the good. The cheese and bacon dip is amazing. I ordered the brisket sandwich and mac & cheese. The sandwich is huge, the meat is great, however there’s a sweet aioli sauce on the roll that was too sweet for me. The mac & cheese came in a small skillet that was molten lava hot and about melted my face off. However it’s amazing and made of different types of cheeses. The make their own doughnut balls and some kind of dip, however I didn’t want to explode so we passed on desert. Overall it was a good experience, but next time I’d like a booth away from everyone else.

After walking around the Riverfront parks Chinese Lantern festival, we decided to come the Blackbird gastro pub. When we walked through the door I was very intrigued by the décor. I thought why the negative comments, it seemed to have a dairy farm meets a steel mill vibe. After deliberating over standing at bar, sitting by the kitchen, or waiting several minutes for very limited booth space. Not impressed with the seating arrangement. We saw to ladies leave the bar«with stools», not the standing only bar, and sat down. This is when we started to enjoy the place. Menu is slim pickings but every on it sounded tasty. We went here for appetizers a drinks which let me just say… were excellent. We did see other peoples dinner plates, I almost order the pot pie. It looked real good. We will be back a try out the dinner menu and Victory by the sea stout beer again.

Good vibes? Creative eats? Herbaceous cocktail menu? Huge patio & gorgeous interior? Chickety-check-check-check. Blackbird has it going on. I love the setting, in this converted old dairy building. You can admire the stone walls from outside on the patio. There are huge umbrellas they can move around to shade you perfectly, or not, if you prefer sunbathing. The interior is equally handsome with shiny white tiles and an inviting bar area. The cocktail menu is a masterpiece, with complex combos of herb-infused liquors, surprising savory ingredients, seasonal fruits, etc. Food-wise, I appreciated the variety of small and large dishes, from bacon maple popcorn to my spaghetti squash main dish, and my friend’s Argentine-style steak. Presentation was on point. It’s tough to be disappointed* with Blackbird if you have a curious, gourmet palate. The ambiance, service, and execution are top notch. Heck, they even have a parking lot. Spokaneans, treat ya’self! *My only gripe is that the cocktail portions varied — some glasses were filled all the way, others arrived looking half empty. Call me a greedy boozer, but I want to drink every penny of that cocktail price-tag.

Restaurant tres bien glacé joliment décoré et la nourriture est très bonne et originale. De plus le service est très agréable et le personnel très impliqué. Un bon moment et un excellent repas en famille.
