Fastkix Taekwondo

6 months ago, my sister and I were trying to find a place to kickbox that offered class times that worked with our work schedules and that had an environment that wasn’t too intimidating! We found Fastkix in Spotswood and thought we would take them up on their free trial class. We loved it! It was a great workout and our instructor, Mr. Balon made sure to help us feel included and at home. We signed up that same day! We’ve been going now to 2 weeknight evening classes and the early Saturday morning class. In about 3 months I went from a dress size 10 to a size 4. I lost 20 lbs. My sister has gained muscle definition especially in her arms. The best part about these classes is that they are never ever the same. Every time you walk into class you will be mixing it up and doing something completely different than you did the last class. The other people in the class are so encouraging it really is like we’re a team. No matter what your experience level (I was a beginner) you will feel comfortable in these classes… and see results! I’d recommend Fastkix to anyone I know in the area that wants to get a good workout but actually laugh and have fun while they’re doing it! Not all places are like that… Try Fastkix today, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Nice place and location. Overall the instructors styles are too widely varied among with some being very nice and pleasant and others super competitive if not lacking good interpersonal skills at times.
I was left with the impression that there was so much focus on the sport itself that lead management forgot they were speaking to parents (and paying customers) when we interacted. I also felt pressure to take my son more and couldn’t tell if it was because they wanted to see him get better or whether enrollment was falling and they needed to fill the class.

I have been involved with Taekwondo for over 30 years. I was at two other schools prior to my joining Fastkix Taekwondo and Kickboxing, and I can honestly tell you that none can compare to the environment at FastKix. Mr. Balon and Mr. Charles Ferrone have created a true family environment. We aren’t students who workout with each other, we are a family that cheers for each other and helps each other. No matter what your age or ability, the Instructors at Fastkix will help you to reach your true potential, and accomplish things that you never thought you could. When I joined Fastkix, after a 10 year layoff from Taekowndo, I was just looking for a place to «workout». Fastkix has given me more opportunities than I ever thought possible. I compete in both the local and national tournaments in the 43 and older division. I am a natoinally certified AAU official and coach. I will be testing for my AAU Nationally Certified Senior Instructor Rank and in January of 2014, I will be testing for my nationally 5^th degree Black Belt. Why… That’s simple! Once you are a member of the Fastkix family, you just want to get involved and do more. It’s so easy on many levels. Mr. Balon always looks to bring in new aspects of the martial arts, from grappling, to weapons, to self defense and more. Classes are never the same. You will walk out feeling great after one of his workouts. Outside of the school we always look forward to the annual picnic, bowling trip, and halloween party. My whole family is involved at the school. I work out with my son, who is also an instructor, and my wife and daughter never miss a Kickboxing class! I am truly proud and honored to be a student and instructor at Fastkix Taekwondo and Kickboxing.

Awesome school! True family atmosphere, and every day brings new challenges to keep you in shape. I started kickboxing almost 8 years ago, and I’m still never bored and constantly challenged and motivated! Excellent instructors, very reasonable fees, and great people who are focused on getting fit. The taekwondo program is fun and provides a creative martial arts learning environment for all ages. Take a free trial class and trust me, you’ll be hooked!
