I’ve enjoyed bagels in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island and these are as good as any I’ve had anywhere. The dill & mixed herbs cream cheese is ‘ta die for’. Save the 1,800 mile drive to NYC and stop by and see Ernie.

The hubby and I just had the best bagels we’ve ever had in Texas! This is a little family owned and run shop out in Spring Branch, Tx where the New York style Texas-Sized bagels are homemade daily and delicious! We loved the atmosphere, although the shop could use a little more space but that wont stop us from making this our breakfast tradition place when in Spring Branch.

This place was awesome, from the fresh bagels to the fresh takes on bagel sandwiches. We’ve had the breakfast bagel sandwiches, along with the lunch selections and have not been disappointed! The turkey BLT is a must and the Steak and cheese is not far behind. You must go to this place, we don’t have enough places like this in Spring Branch!

GREAT place! Husband loves bagels so we had to stop in and try something. Was pleasantly surprised to learn all bagels are made fresh in the morning. Met Ernie — extremely friendly and helpful. If you’re not sure what to order, ask. Husband had the everything bagel with herb dill cream cheese and I tried the blueberry bagel with honey cinnamon butter. Both were very yummy! Prices were reasonable for the freshness and what you get. I have to admit I am not a bagel person BUT I’m definitely coming back to Ernie’s Gourmet Bagels in the near future. Menu has a lot of items that sounded delicious and I feel the need to try them all!

Had a cinnamon raisin bagel. Was really good, not like a normal Texas bagel which is more like eating bread the shape of a donut. Had a friendly shopkeeper and they had blueberry, chocolate chip, sesame, everything and plain bagels that day. Definitely worth a stop if you like bagels.

Place is pretty nice. Bagels taste delicious. They are a little bit expensive though. However it isn’t bad for one of the first breakfast places in the area that isn’t fast food or tacos.

We chow down on bagels each time we visit the Northeast and always wished somewhere near us served them too. When a friend told us about Ernie’s Gourmet Bagels — Texas Sized New York Style — we ran right over there. WOW! Real bagels made fresh with 11 different flavors! We sat right down, had Ernie prepare some with his various tasty spreads and then took more home. In addition, he has breakfast bagel sandwiches — lots of different variations on egg, ham, sausage, bacon, cheese, and steak plus several kinds of «Lunch Bagel Sandwiches». Don’t forget to pick up some fresh baked cookies too! If you like REAL bagels(or have never had a real bagel), give yourself a treat and stop to try some. Definitely a must for us.
