Very good choice for a quick lunch. Good variety on both food and drink menus. Staff extremely friendly. Facility super clean. Could definitely plan a return visit for meal or a watch party.

The place looks great — but I’ll be honest, I was expecting more from the food and the service. We ordered chips and queso for starters, and the queso was so runny that it was dripping all over everywhere(and everyone). Service was slow and spotty, which would be okay, except we were one of very few tables there, at least early on. Beer selection was decent at least, esp. for the area. Food was decent, nothing great, but again, for the area, it worked for us. All in all, it would get two stars instead of three if not for the location, but given that there really isn’t much competition in the area, I’ll give it a three. But seriously, if they’d up their game a bit, it could be a solid 3.5−4.

Stopped in for a late lunch midweek and there were only a handful of patrons there. That should have been a clue but we decided to order tacos for lunch. Service was poor and the tacos were lukewarm when delivered to our table. There is a food truck enclosed in a shipping container in the back of the building. We feel our lunch was probably sitting out back for a while before the waitress delivered the food to our table. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Happy to find this place for football. There is a large U shaped bar with plenty of seating. Good variety of drink choices. Pints and Pitchers, IPA and Ales. Typical food, burgers, tacos, pizza. Limited menu but fresh and good. Seating inside is high top tables. 11 TVs with DirectTV for any NFL game. They also have an outside area with regular tables.(No TVs). Adam rocks the bar when it is crowded and the servers are friendly. They know us when we come in(by our team jerseys) and turn one of the TVs to our game. This is great considering we are AFC fans. The only time the service has been slow is when every table its full and there is a larger group in the party/stage area. Even then, the staff is still attentive and doing their best with smiles. That makes the difference to me as a customer. I understand when a restaurant gets busy vs writing a bad review because of impatience. It’s Texas, relax and live life a little slower.

Iced tea is not refilled free. Last time I checked this was Texas and in Texas your iced tea is refilled free. Other than than it is a very cool place to stop in and have a snack and some brew. 5 star review if you change the tea policy, guys.

You have to appreciate this place for what it is… a bar with awesome bar food. Jalapeño poppers and queso fries are amazing. I’ve only ever been here after work so I cant say what its like at night but its fairly busy around 530, especially if there is a game. But, dont worry, there’s plenty of bar and table seats and service is quick. (During happy hour you can get a beer for around $ 3 – 4 and a glass of wine for $ 5.)

We used to come here often, but will no longer now that a Confederate flag is prominently displayed on the flagpole. This offensive and racist symbol should no longer be used in 2015. I will spread the word to all of our friends. If you’re a real redneck, this is your place. By the way, the Civil War ended in 1865 and your side lost!

Just as an FYI, this is more of a bar than anything else. My family visited here Friday night and although there was one other family dining it was very obvious that this isn’t really a place to dine with family. Very limited menu and servers are focused on drinkers and getting attention by wearing short shorts and tight tank tops. Not sure I will return as the drinks I ordered from the bar weren’t even good. Nice patio with view but too many smokers to enjoy the setting.

Open, airy and every game on TV. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food that I had was all five star bar food. The wings were spectacular, even the asian variety which I am normally not a fan of. They have some unique cocktails on the menu that are good and for what you get priced well. If you are looking for a sports dive bar, this isn’t the place. But if you want GOOD bar food and drinks that are well crafted and not overpriced, this is a great spot. And to the guy below complaining about them not having miller lite on draft… stick to Buffalo Wild Wings with the rest of your low brow how bout dem Cowboys brethren.

This place is GORGEOUS! At the edge of NW San Antonio on 281 as you enter the hill country. It’s only about a year old. The patio has a beautiful hill country view. They serve burgers, wings, wraps & other similar food. Full bar. Flat screen TV’s all around. Shuffleboard & a couple of pool tables too. A great place to come watch the game & maybe shoot a game of pool with friends & family. Been wanting to stop here for a while. The house margarita was good, and so was the chicken wrap. No desserts though. It would be nice if they had a couple of dessert choices. Overall a fantastic experience!

I wrote a review awhile back, not about the food or service, but because I pass Max’s on 281 often and noticed the establishment had not bowed to pressures and was still flying a Confederate flag. I was impressed and promised to visit soon. But, since then, the flag has been removed, even though the flying was defended by Max’s. I’m confused. Did you people cave to the non-historical idiots, or is the Confederate flag only temporarily removed? I’m watching, as are friends, for the flag to return. Until then, we will take a wait and see approach.
