Would have been nice to try this place out. We drove all the way from NW Austin just to find… well find nothing. There was no Morton’s or anything that resembled BBQ anywhere near the listed location.

We took home a little bit of everything to try last week and we are hooked! The meats were all cooked perfectly, the sauce is fabulous, the cole slaw has the best balance of being creamy, but not too creamy with a tang, the beans are really good, and the potato salad was very good as well. We will definitely be back for more!

I hoped that this place would hit a home run with me. I talked to the owner, who was quite friendly, and he introduced me to his daughters. I guess he was being a good salesman. He told me that nobody else’s BBQ came close to his. We decided to order a couple of sandwiches and settled on 1 brisket and 1 pulled pork. He gave us pickles and onions on the side. The sandwiches were huge and were covered in his sauce. Results: Winners — owner, location, & pulled pork Not a winner — brisket Will I return? Definitely, for the pulled pork.

I tried the pork ribs tonight when they were at Thousand Oaks & Henderson Pass. Really good BBQ — didn’t have to travel all the way to the Salt Lick in Austin to get it either — just a block away from my house. IMO, it was better than the Salt Lick and very reasonably priced. The owner is really nice and the food is great quality. Just wish I would’ve visited sooner!

I still like the pulled pork. I decided to give the sides a chance. I ordered the cream corn. Remember, Rudy’s has great creamed corn and Smoke Shack has awesome spicy corn. Morton’s is a total letdown on the cremed corn. It looks and tastes like the creamed corn you find on the shelf at HEB. This is not an acceptable creamed corn for a food truck.

Found the trailer at McAllister park– it was the best thing about the park…- Brisket sandwich was best in SA so far…

I had the chicken fajitas because they were cheap and it was one of the few things that were ready to serve. They were just ok — I’m not trying to slam them or anything but they weren’t much better than the precooked, pre-sliced, frozen Tyson chicken fajitas. They told me they were going to have other options available in a couple of hours but it was already 9PM and I had to go. Even though I give ‘em a three star rating, I will give them another shot some other time. But I will try a REALBBQ dish next time!

Okay, so this BBQ food truck is amazing! My neighbor got some food from here and gave us some of her leftover ribs because it was way too much for her to eat. Since that day, my boyfriend and I have been waiting for them to be back on the corner of Thousand Oaks and Henderson Pass. A few days later they were there and so were we! We ordered a lot: half rack of ribs, ½ lb pulled pork, chicken sandwich and mac ‘n cheese. OMGSH way too much food for 2 people, this fed us for 3 meals! I really believe we got way more than the quoted weights but I cannot confirm this as fact. The ribs are fall off the bone good and the BBQ sauce is perfection. The pulled pork is tender and is not fatty. My big gripe with BBQ is that it can sometimes be fatty but not this stuff! It is all meat!(But not in a tough, chewy, kind of way) I will definitely be back here many times and recommend this place to everyone! I am looking forward to try the turkey which another reviewer says is really good, I think turkey is the hidden gem at most BBQ places so I am eager to try it here.

So far I have had the pulled pork and the smoked turkey… this guy knows his way around the grill!
