The Lodge At Bridal Veil Falls

The venue itself is amazing and easy to fall in love with — rightly so. Working with the Lodge pre event was good; however this went extremely sour on the day of our wedding.
To begin with, we clearly asked for a set amount of tables which was drawn up into a floor plan and sent to us by the Lodge. However on the day itself, we were two tables short. You would think it was an easy fix and the on day coordinator (Connie) could just add another 2 tables and chairs but no. Connie wouldn’t help resolve this and we were left embarrassed when guests didn’t have a table to go to after reading their table on the seating chart. No compensation from the Lodge and it’s been brushed under the carpet post the wedding.
Whilst I (the groom) was getting changed in the grooms room, Connie came in and said our servers were not allowed to provide the waiter services as they were not employed by our caterers. Even though we had servers, a contract in place and the Lodge knew about all external staff prior to the event, Connie was insistent on saying no because the serving needed to be done via our caterers. Imagine the situation I was in — trying to relax for the evening, but having to face Connie with this issue and her reluctance to provide a resolution.
Moving forward in the evening and to add to our embarrassment, Connie would not allow the servers to serve water prior to dinner being served. NONE of our guests got any drinks prior to the buffet opening for dinner. We received many comments on this post the wedding. This restriction made no sense.
Although Lindsey and Amber are easier to work with, the Lodge has let us down and they fail to acknowledge this. Connie on the day itself, was completely unhelpful, unwilling to work with us, extremely rude and unprofessional — this accountability falls to the Lodge.
Don’t just fall for the venue; edge on the side of caution as you could be burnt by the delivery of the event, just as we were.

While the venue was nice, Connie our day of Lodge coordinator was not only unaccommodating but also extremely rude and did not deliver on what we had paid for.
The venue coordinators shorted us two tables than what we had asked for, which caused so much stress and running around given that we had set table arrangements. They did nothing to compensate this or fix the situation even though there was enough time to set up two more tables really quickly. How embarrassing when you have to tell guests to go to a different table than what is listed on the seating chart!
Connie had five staff members sitting with her in her office and when we asked for small tasks that the venue didn’t complete prior to the reception, she claimed she didn’t have resources. Her manner was very rude and she was refusing to help even though she and her staff had messed up.
Connie would not allow the servers to serve water prior to dinner being served, which was a simple request that could have easily been done. It was the caterers we asked for that task but Connie told them not to. Why would she not allow the caterers to do such a simple task when it was in their contract to do so?
Also at one point during the wedding, in front of guests, she came out and started talking about money and payment, which is extremely unprofessional. Not to mention, we had already paid the venue and all of our outside vendors in full prior to the reception. My parents were forced to pay cash in the middle of the reception just to get Connie out of our faces.
Lindsey and Amber are easier to work with but it doesn’t help when the on site coordinator on the day of is completely unhelpful, unwilling to work with the client, and downright RUDE. She should not be a wedding coordinator. I would not recommend this venue to anyone solely because of Connie.

This place is far but worth the drive! Such a beautiful wedding venue. I love the waterfall where the wedding ceremony takes place! Very rustic and chic!
Catered food was delicious!
Very nice venue for weddings or any celebration!

Pictures don’t do this venue justice. It’s simply amazing. The staff is very friendly & the waterfalls are just beautiful! The bride & groom suites are clean & spacious. Everything is very elegant and sophisticated. I highly recommend this venue.
