Banjo’s is where I go when I have a craving for pulled pork. The pulled pork sandwich has a generous portion of delicious smoked pulled pork, and it is served with your choice of their signature BBQ sauces(I highly recommend the apple butter sauce). The smoked baked beans are also wonderful. I tried the ribs once, and they were tough and not very good(maybe it was because I went right before they closed), so I stick with the pulled pork. I always get carry-out. There’s not much seating in the restaurant — just a few picnic-style tables. There’s also not much parking, and it can be tricky to get in and out of the lot if it’s crowded.

We heard about Banjos Barbecue at work, and are really glad that we stopped for dinner. We had a Boomer(a huge smoked, baked potato), pulled pork, brisket and chicken, plus sides of ribs. Banjo’s-recipe sauces were subtle and flavorful. Everything was tasty and moist, cooked perfectly! The owner thinks the mustard-based Carolina-style sauce is super hot, but our spicy-food devotee thought it was deliciously spicy. Don’t pass up Banjo’s if you’re anywhere near Spring City. It’s worth a side trip!

This has become my favorite place to eat… I love the chicken, they have awesome wings, Boomer, ribs and pulled pork. Home made potato salad, smoked green beans and my favorite is the seasoned mixed greens. BESTBBQEVER!!!

THEBOOMER!!! Absolutely the biggest and best BBQ potato I have ever eaten. It’s big enough for 2 people to share and both feel full. Or you can have plenty leftover for just yourself. It reheats very well for lunch or dinner the next day. It is soooo good! I also love the pulled pork sandwich. The kaiser roll that they serve it on is wonderful and gives it a great texture that you don’t get from ordinary hamburger type buns that most BBQ restaurants use. The baked beans and potato salad are very flavorful. You can tell they are fresh made and not bought in bulk from some food supplier. The BBQ sauces are also excellent. Try the Apple-butter BBQ sauce! It’s very unique and original. The mustard based sauce is really good too. But my favorite is the tradition sweet sauce. It’s like a think Carolina style sauce that is just perfect — a little tangy and not too hot. My only dislike from this place is the coleslaw. The owner says that it’s homemade but the 3 times that I’ve ordered it, it tastes like it came from the deli at Walmart. The mayonnaise taste is overwhelming and the cabbage that is used does not taste like home chopped cabbage. I just don’t order the slaw anymore. Other than the one disappointment with the coleslaw, this is an awesome little family-owned BBQ joint. I really hope this place makes it in Spring City. It has excellent food and the folks are very friendly. Highly recommend.

What a delight to find Banjo BBQ. Small, family run restaurant with top notch barbecue. This is the real deal with delicious pulled pork, Ribs, chicken and good sides as well as their own house made sauce. I went for the stuffed potato… Completely filled me up! All of the folks with me were very satisfied. We look forward to eating there the next time we are in Spring City!

I have had the pulled pork sandwich, the chicken wings and they let me sample the ribs. All were smoked and all were fantastic.
