Winstead’s American Grill

We really enjoyed it! Great for families but there’s also a nice bar area that I would return to for a drink with friends. The folks we encountered on our visits were very sweet and very kind. The food came quickly and was delicious. The wait staff spoke very highly of the owner as well, which I thought was lovely. Over the course of our stay we had pizza, burgers, chicken and steaks — all delish. We’ll return, probably many times!

Great food. Got the southwest chicken and potato was huge. Great price. Better than any other major chain restaurant. Would give more stars if I could.

My wife and I was in the area and stopped for a early supper. I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries and she had a personal cheese and pepperoni pizza, we both had water to drink.
After we were seated the waitress took our drink order and it took her about 5 minutes just to return with our waters. After taking our food order we sat there for almost 25 minutes before our food came.
I was looking so forward to having a nice juicy bacon cheeseburger and fries but what a disappointment. The fries were the long steak fries but when I picked one up it was barely warm. Took a bite and it was cold on the inside. Took a bite of the burger and yet another disappointment. The burger was nothing but a frozen soybean and meat patty thrown on the grill and fried while thawing. No different than what I would get if I bought the frozen patties at a walmart.
My wife said the pizza was ok but she tasted very little pizza sauce. We looked and it was pretty much an all thick cheese pizza with pepperoni on top.
I went ahead and ate the burger but I asked for fresh cooked fries which took about 10 minutes to get.
All in all I would not go back to eat here nor would I suggest it to my friends. The total bill was almost $ 16 with water to drink. Over priced for the problems we had. A manager never once came over to apologize for the fries.
The only reason I give 2 stars is the atmospher was nice.
