Gator’s Dockside – Spring Hill

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place, but i came in with an open mind, now mind you i came here to watch an NBA game, but a couple of friends tagged along for the all you can eat wings. Now at a glance the $ 14 fee is a steal! But the service and lack of communication said other wise! To start out this horrific experience, it took 10 minutes for us to get someone to take our drink orders, then after delivering the drinks fairly quick, our server didn’t ask if we were ready to order, and had disappeared for another 10 minutes. After finally getting in the order they bring the wings out in waves (which is smart and cost efficient) the first plate consists of 12 wings, followed by plates of 6. Thats all find and dandy if you plan on waiting 13 – 15 minutes for each plate of 6 wings. We were in there for 2 hours & only got a total, 36 wings! Not to mention the bad attitude server, everytime he would come over for the next order of wings, it always seemed like such a hassle! Mind you he only had to come to the table 4 times. While other guests were receiving their wings at a 7 – 9 minute wait time. Bottom line, terrible service, and subpar food. Me & my buddies wont be returning to this place!

Great burgers, wings, ribs, gator bites, calamari, etc.; whatever we order always comes out as expected. Outstanding quality and friendly service sets Gators in a class above all the other casual sports themed restaurants. And the fact that it’s so close to home makes it even better. Keep up the spectacular work!

Charged me $ 7.00 for a virgIn piña colada, which was basically paying for ice considering you could barely taste it. I waited 10 minutes for my change, and was then shorted almost $ 10 of my change. Beware!!!

Stopped here on the way to Weeki Wachee Springs to see the mermaids. It’s in the corner of a strip mall. It seems brand spanking new. The booths look brand new and the place is super clean. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap (so good!) and my husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich (it was huge and looked so good). The staff and our waitress was incredible. If I lived around here this would be my go to place for lunch or dinner.

Great service, fabulous bartender/​waitress Lori. Had a great lunch. Would highly recommend the sports bar for a quick very for filling lunch.

We ate here on vacation recently. Food was good and service was ok. The place is a sports bar type setup and I think we would go back. I should have gotten the all you can eat wings cause the wings were good. The calamari was as good as I have had anywhere…

A group of four of us walked in and we were seated immediately… impressive for a busy game night. The waiter asked us if we had any TV preferences and he put the hockey game on for us– AWESOME. We ordered the house pound bacon cheeseburger, Mac and Cheese Burger, wings, and the fettuccini Alfredo. The portions were pretty big. The burger slightly disappointed only because you can tell they weren’t fresh patties but otherwise the flavor of the food was good. Prices average (2 people~$ 15/​person with beverages).

I have to give at least one star because the food was decent. However, bad service can ruin an entire experience. The first time we went a few months ago the food was excellent and the service was average. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were very busy and the food was really good. Well we just left there a few minutes ago and they have lost a customer. Our server seemed nice enough and took our order in a timely manner, that is were anything positive about this experience ended. We ordered an appetizer, two meals, and drinks. Our drinks were brought to us and this was the last time our server came to our table. She was at the table next to ours several times but never stopped by to check on us. About 30 minutes after we ordered our appetizer a server we hadn’t seen before brought out our meals. We explained that we had ordered an appetizer and he told us he was bringing it out. I said well it was supposed to be an appetizer we don’t want it now. At this point he goes and tells our server but she never even acknowledges us let alone come over to the table to apologize. About 10 minutes later she finally comes over to see if everything is ok and then acts surprised when we told her about the appetizer. She made a pathetic attempt at an apology. At this point I was going to let it go even though there was no real apology and no manager ever came over to rectify the situation. So we are ready to leave and go to pay the bill and she still charged us for the appetizer we never got. Our server at this point has disappeared again so we ask the nice hostess to help us. She gets our server and the manager. At this point the server tells her manager they didn’t want the appetizer we need to take it off. My boyfriend at this point steps in and says it isn’t that we didn’t want it but we never got it and explained this to the manager. The manager made no real attempt to
Make the situation better and just said do you want a free desert or something? We said no, paid our bill, and left never to return to that establishment again. If you go here and get the server named Crystal beware!

Stopped by for lunch today. Ordered ribs they were great cooked perfectly plenty of Sauce Will come back soon

This place is awesome, food to die for, great staff and Ryan the manager danced across the floor pleasing one customer after another…:Four alarm sauce was spicy, but not nearly as hot as Jorge the kitchen mgr. TOP NOTCH ACROSS THE BOARD.

It was ok… Very dead I felt bad being there to watch the game at 10pm because I was the only one there. The bartender and manager were nice people. I thought it would be a little more crowed for a playoff game but that’s ok.

Just okay. Stuck at the end of a strip mall nowhere near water. Bland décor. Average food.

Hidden in a little corner is a well needed restaurant in our area! I have eaten at a Gators Dockside in another area and was happy to discover this located in the same shopping center as my favorite place to eat Japanese food (See my review on Haiku).At Gators Dockside the drinks are cold, the servers are friendly and the patio is so inviting. My favorite things so far are their homemade potato chips they fry up every day and their desserts! Even if I’m full I try to take something for desserr home to eat later :) We also brought friends on a visit and they enjoyed it as well! Sports bar lovers will enjoy the many tv’s hanging with their favorite game playing, and it doesn’t feel like a bar atmosphere. So nice to see families and kids together during football season. I love seeing Dads and sons in matching Football Jerseys enjoying their time while Sports lovers are looking at the tv. It’s a place to bring your favorite football fan on a date instead of leaving him at home to watch the game. Thanks to my husband for letting me get him out of his favorite chair for dinner when his Bronco game was going to start :) Even though I am ignored during football season, I enjoyed my meal and conversations during commercials, Ha Ha ! Give them a try and let me know your favorite dish!

Saturday at 1:30. About the only people in the place server is almost non existent. Have been waiting 20 minutes for apps. Food finally came out lukewarm.
Will never come back.

The food was pretty good. We all really enjoyed the fried mushrooms. And my husband really enjoyed their Monday all you can eat wings, especially the peanut butter and jelly flavor.
I was excited that they had a Monte Cristo sandwich. It was not the best i have ever had but i have been craving one for years and was happy i found somewhere that made them. personally i did like the addition of the American cheese in my monte cristo. Over all a very good restaurant.

Lots of selections on the menu. I had a rueben and onion straws which were really large chunks of onions breaded. They were a little spicy and came with sauce. They weren’t so hot you couldn’t eat them. My friend had pastrami and swiss. We both enjoyed our meals. My friend had cole slaw as a side and liked it. Lots of TVs and a couple of gators :) a little on the expensive side like Ruby Tuesdays. Hence 4 stars.

A lot of food to choose from, from Burgers, Nachos, to fish, to entrees like fried pickles, or their Gator Fries…
I’ve never been disappointed with anything on their menu, large portions, at reasonable prices. And the atmosphere is easy going, laid back and the staff is phenominal! ! My NEW favorite place to eat and hang out with friends.

Poor Service for c– food! My wife ordered Tuna. It came out raw two times and the third time was a charm;(. My sister in law ordered off the gluten free menu, Grilled chicken came out deep fried…

My husband and I went here Thursday night around 6 and it was packed! Too cold to sit on the patio, everyone was bunched inside. We waited about 5 – 10 minutes which isn’t bad. Once we got our table our waiter came by who was very nice. He forgot a few things but it was no big deal. His attitude made up for it. The food was amazing!!! We had the burger with Mac and cheese and the burger with two parties along with the onion strips as an appetizer. Everything was delicious! I had high hopes for this place and they went past my expectations. The only thing is they could have colored up the place a bit. It’s nothing but tan and wood and there’s way too many TVs which is weird. I think 20 TVs in one area is a little overkill.
