Britta is an awesome colorist and stylist. Very happy with my experience here. I look forward to my next visit.

I’ve been a client at Salon427 for a while, and I always go to Christy (referral when I visited my mother). Looks like the old saying is true: mother knows best. I haven’t had a bad haircut here yet!
Pros:
*drinks and snacks offered upon arrival
*clean chairs, floors, and tools
*recycle bar: refill salon products for half price (remember to bring your empty bottles!)
*referral coupons for yourself and your guest (usually $ 10 off)
*“wash house” is dimly lit and relaxing with several «upgrade» options (hand wax, neck massage, etc). My favorite is the neck massage. Nice way to loosen up after sitting in the wash chair.
*text appt reminders! So convenient
*they’re accommodating; they’ll work with your preferences (weekends, late times, etc). I drive in from Central Florida for this place!
Cons:
— there can be a wait (even w/​res) especially if there’s a local event happening. It’s usually not long.
— check with your stylist about the recycle bar: not all of their products are included.
— stylists aren’t always available as scheduled (due to travel or training). They’ll offer a different stylist or a reschedule, though. Nice fix.
–prices rise according to levels of training completed by stylists. It feels strange to put this in the «con» column — it’s sort of understandable — but it’s something to watch for if you have a certain price point. I haven’t had to change stylists yet, but I’m confident that if I do, I’ll still be happy.
I’ve been happier with Salon427 than I’ve been with a hair place in a long time. Just wish — like some reviewers — I would’ve known about the Unilocal offer! I’ll be using it on my next visit :)

People are constantly complimenting my hair & asking me where I get me hair done, I think that is reason enough to keep coming back! I’ve been going to Salon 427 for almost 3 years now, the staff is friendly & service is excellent!

Best salon in the area! The stylists are funky, adorable, and great at what they do. I’ve had my hair cut here several times, had an eyebrow wax, and color, too. You’re always offered a free upgrade, too, with a cut (massage, paraffin wax hand treatment, etc.) while they wash your hair. They also offer complimentary beverages and snacks, too. Both Amanda and Britta have cut and colored my hair, and I highly recommend both!
This is not a place to be rushed — if you just want to get in, cut your hair, and get out, I don’t recommend this salon. They truly understand the definition of what a salon is supposed to be: a place for relaxation and pampering. Allow at least 90 minutes for your cut, but I usually make an afternoon out of it.
Be sure to make your reservation at least 1 week in advance — they get very busy and walk-​ins are probably not a good idea (given that they spend a good amount of time on each client, as I mentioned above). The receptionists are very friendly and attentive (if a spot opens early, they’ll call you). The line gets busy, so you might need to dial a few times, but it’s so worth it.

I have called on two separate occasions. Always get voicemail. Left messages and no one called me back. Have even emailed with no response. No way to run a business! Next!

RECEPTION/​TOUR — I came in on February 12^th to get my hair looking nice for my birthday. I was greeted by Erin at the front desk who had a really pleasant personality. I don’t know what it is, but no other salon seems capable of having a nice professional front desk person. Having Erin as a first impression really gave me trust in my first time being there. She gave me a guided tour of the salon, explained their products, offered beverages (free wine/​beer/​infused water/​soda) and snacks (pretzels/​chocolate), and wished me a happy birthday. She was also attentive by updating me on how much longer my wait would be (I was a walk-​in — you should make a reservation because they are really popular). These little things meant a lot to me and impressed me because as someone who works in hospitality I have a lot of pet peeves when it comes to getting service. Erin also said «my pleasure» which stood out to me as well”. She was so professional and accommodating. I can’t believe that I have so many nice things to say prior to talking about my hair styling experience.
CONSULTATION/​HAIR — Airicka did my hair. She was really nice and listened to what I had to say. They actually do a consultation with you where they talk about your hair. That was really useful especially because you are given your price breakdowns before they do anything — no surprises! I have really thick really long hair that was breaking apart and just altogether looked nasty and wasn’t fun to play with anymore. Airicka fixed it up with a deep condition, cut, and thinned out my hair! She is AWESOME at thinning out hair. I was so scared of what it would look like. Once again there was a lot of attention to detail. She was really nice to talk to as well. I hate getting my hair cut with someone awkward or unpleasant.
WASH ROOM — The wash room was mesmerizing. It’s very tranquil — they set the mood by turning off the lights (I really wish other stylists didn’t come in to turn them on and leave them on for a while), lighting candles, and playing relaxing music. What really makes it more amazing is the hand wax. It was my first time doing that. I would have been fine just spending my birthday with wax on my hands for the rest of my day. Airicka did a great job of washing my hair — she made it a very gentle and relaxing experience. Usually my hair gets pulled and my neck is yanked around.
PRODUCTS — Mostly all products are Paul Mitchell which I liked. I swear by his straightener and skinny serum! Erin let me know that they do an awesome recycle and refill program with shampoo and conditioner. Buy a bottle from them and get it refilled by them for 50% off!!! I can’t wait to do that.
Thank you ladies for the good experience :) especially because I have numerous bad salon stories to tell… now I have a good one! Wishing I did a before and after… can’t wait for my next visit!

I don’t know the owners, but I’d like to thank them for hiring quality people and training them so well. The owners passion and dedication shows in the girls professionalism and enthusiasm from the tour to the consultation to the hair styling experience. Very impressive atmosphere.

Salon 427 has many good qualities! Allow plenty of time and know your budget. I loved my stylist and you definitely feel pampered. They serve you snacks and your choice of beverage including wine if you like. My hair was a mess and I needed highlights, cut and style. She gave it to me and I loved my stylist and service. I also needed a conditioning treatment. They also have a quiet room with a digital screen playing music and pictures of far away castles and beautiful pictures playing. They gave me my choice of a complimentary neck massage, Paraffin wax hand dip or something else, but I chose the wax hand dip. Felt wonderful.
One of the main reasons I chose them to go to may be odd to you, but with my marketing background, I support companies that are more than meets the eye. They try to do good for the community as a company. They collected and washed shoes for donation and I was impressed with their community support. They deserve your business.
Ok, so those are the great things! If you want a pampering experience and cost is not a factor, this is the place for you. They do give a referral program that could help offset your cost for services if that is your concern, so ask them about it.
Not so great, The quiet relaxation room was ICE COLD. I was freezing. They didn’t serve coffee or anything hot but my stylist did round up a tea bag from somewhere and heated me water in the microwave. Kudos to their staff for doing everything in their power to make me feel comfortable. She also turned on the stand up dryer in the room to warm my area a little bit. (Yes, I was that cold!) Bless her heart for finding me tea! No coffee, and I didn’t want wine for my morning appointment. Also, though a relaxing environment, it was a bit long for me. I was at the point that I wanted to hurry up the experience and get out of there. The main problem I had was the price. I’ve had the same basic services without the special treatment for half the cost. I didn’t leave there under 150.00.

BEST SALON IN SPRINGHILL!!!
Im a Tampa girl and recently moved to Springhill about 3 years ago. I was going out of my mind trying to find a Salon that could compete with Tampa. I didnt want to keep driving an hour to get my hair done. I stumbled upon Salon 427 on a SUNDAY! I didnt even have an appointment and when I walked in-​I felt right at home. The atmosphere is upbeat. The wash house will make you fall asleep-​its soo relaxing. The stylists welcome you with a free beverage and snacks, they give you a tour and are very excited about what they can do for you. You can even catch the owner sweeping floors and refilling drinks-​very humbling. You immediatley fall in love with the place… Then…here comes the best part-​the most important part… YOUR HAIR IS PERFECT! I loved my color and cut. I have been back like 10 times and have gone to LT and Kristy. They both achieved what I wanted. AHHHHH thank goodness I dont have to drive an hour anymore…
