I have a Saturn and it’s a piece of shit.
These people have no idea what they’re doing but feel like it’s a great marketing strategy to design these cars so that they have parts that fall apart easily and are difficult to repair. I feel bad that Americans can’t make a car that lasts more than 8 years, but it is what it is and we have to stop living in denial. From now on I’m going to buy cars that are known for being reliable, from manufactures who put engineering above marketing.

UPDATE — The visitor center and factory tour closed in April 2006.
I had to opportunity to visit the Saturn factory and take the tour of the factory. It is an incredible experience to see how a car is built, from nothing at one end of the factory, to driving out the other end.
The visitor center is also an interesting place to see the history of the Saturn cars.
