Pawfection Dog Grooming

Natalie took very good care of my Oscar. He is an older Havanese mix and has not done well in the past about being groomed. I always groom him but it’s starting to hurt my back. They took a long time but Oscar wasn’t very scared after his visit. I’ll bring him back.

Have had my malti-​poo and gerbarian shepski (which both breeds are hard to groom) groomed by paw devotion and they are the most pleasant and great people to work with and they take great care, and pride in their work. They Palmer our dogs far more than any other groomers around

This place is great, it’s hard to find a good groomer. This place is it for my dogs. They always look great when I pick them up. Nice shop, they moved to a bigger store. It’s still being renovated, but she’s open so that’s great. Thanks for always doing a great job with my pups!

Not pleased at all, look elsewhere unless your dog has had a good experience and bonded with the groomers at this place. Had my 2 five pound Maltese groomed here today. Cubbie 2 years old and Aggie 8 months old. PRICING: $ 90 for two 5lb dogs, I’ve never paid more than $ 70 for both dogs and as far as quality goes, I’ve never picked up my dogs from a groomer and been so disappointed. STORE APPEARANCE: 1 star; there’s some type of construction going on with half of the store, I generally like when a store has everything together when it opens its door but things happen I guess. EFFICIENCY: 2 stars; Our appointment was at 1PM and after 3 hours we headed back to see if our pups were ready, our dogs hadn’t even gotten started and we were told that they would be ready at 5PM. At 5:35 we got a call that they would be ready in 10 minutes, we got to the store at 6PM and one dog was ready. DOG APPEARANCE: 2 stars; when Aggie came out her appearance wasn’t what I had asked for. I asked that they were cut short with everything proportional, Aggie wasn’t cut as short as I had asked but I was more concerned with her ears, tail and leg hair being noticeably longer than the rest of her body hair. I asked them to please cut her legs, ears and tail to be proportional to her body (again too long but whatever you can only be so picky lol). They said she was very good and they did not have any problems with her, so I’m not sure why they couldn’t groom her the way I had asked. When Cubbie was brought out everything was much longer and their excuse was that he was difficult and would bite. I’ve had him groomed bi monthly by 2 women (in Texas and Boone) since we was 10 weeks and have never heard of him being difficult with the exception that he gets agitated and tries to bite the comb when it’s time for his face to be groomed (I noted this to the groomers). I have watched Cubbie be groomed by my other 2 groomers and there has never been a problem except with his face. When we were waiting for Cubbie to be finished up we heard him Unilocal very loudly 3 times and we were only waiting for 5 – 10 minutes. His hair was longer than what we had asked for and his nails were barely trimmed. The groomer told us that Cubbie was very difficult and bit often, I was seriously in disbelief and still am as he is not aggressive at all with people. As they explained his behavior to me I was even more shocked as this was the first time that I have been told my 5lb dog is aggressive. I paid the $ 90 and took my dogs home, grabbed a pair of scissors and trimmed Cubbie and Aggie without the experience, table or equipment groomers use to see what type of reaction I would get from them while also fixing them up to what I had expected. Cubbie did not so much as even turn his head as I cut his tail, ears, beard and square in between his eyes. So I seriously don’t know what happened in that shop with the groomer and my dog, but I will not be taking my dogs there again.

Quick and friendly service. There were only two individuals there, but they immediately make you feel welcome. The place is small and there were a few other dogs in cages getting dried off or waiting for their owners. It was pretty adorable, actually. My boxer just needed her nails clipped, and they were able to clip and file down for 10 bucks. You fill out some liability forms to make sure your dog is a sound and healthy fur citizen of the community. The workers were just as excited as she was to meet them and were kind enough to ask permission to take her or place her where she needed to go while I was filling out the paperwork.
All in all, I was in and out in about 10 minutes! I will be traveling back as soon as my pup’s nails are grown out again.

I highly recommend Pawfection and the owner, Ms. Marilyn. I have taken my fur babies to her every 3 weeks for 2 ½ years now. They hate baths, but they love Ms. Marilyn, and will put up with the baths just to see her. Neither of my dogs are easy– their grooming manners are terrible, but Marilyn is so patient with them; they always turn out looking amazing. Frankly, I don’t believe the previous reviewer’s accusations of abuse. I would hope the reviewer was just mistaken versus intentionally defamatory. Marilyn is so concerned about the welfare of our pets that she fired a previous employee for rough handling of one of my babies. My dogs LOVE her– that’s the best test of her character as far as this doting pet mommy is concerned!
