Had my first Pure Barre experience today. Beth was the teacher. She was fantastic with her tips and making me feel comfortable in the class! Thank you! I’ll come back the next time I’m in town.

I love this studio and it’s owner, Beth. I live in New York City, but visit family in Spring Lake and this is my favorite barre studio in the tri-state area. The classes are great — hard, but they work your whole body while toning and lenghtening. I moved east from Portland, Oregon where I took a lot of Barre3, which I loved, and this is the same great way to have a great workout in a nice friendly space.

All I can say is FINALLY, a work out that I can stick with and, more importantly, a workout I genuinely love. The technique was hard at first but after asking a few questions after class, and listening intently to the tips the instructors were saying over the mic, I finally grasp it and really see a result in myself(my butt has never been tighter). Staff is super friendly and understanding, all body types can benefit from this workout. A must try for this season, I cannot wait to see my new bikini body come summer

I’ve taken a handful of PureBarre classes and they’ve really been hit or miss depending on the instructor. In this particular class, the instructor talked really fast and didn’t explain terms she was using so you were kind of at a loss as to what position to get into. Almost like she was rattling off a script and just reading it as fast as possible. There was a lot of instructor silence that could have been used for coaching and queuing to make sure we were doing the move correctly. But transitions were really quick and her voice was often garbled in the mic and not coming through the music. I did get a good workout for the most part and sweat but this instructor’s class was not worth the money I paid. She didn’t seem motivated at all and arm section was way too easy. Probably done trying PureBarre classes. Never know what you’re going to get. Too bad, was really looking forward to my class in Spring Lake. ;-(

The class was good but the instructor needed to slow down and make more corrections. As a first timer, but one who is familiar with yoga and exercise, I thought she needed to stretch us more as well. Some movements needed further explanation. I would return but I hope that the business would take these comments into consideration.
