Time Warner Cable

I really wish I could give Time Warner Cable, not just in this specific location but as a whole company 5 stars. This company is blessed with a few representatives that provide excellent customer service and that is all I have ever recieved when dealing with them. I hope when we move we can still get the same excellence!

I wish I could write w review with 0 stars. Avoid at all costs. My internet and cable went out at the same time. There technicians who are obviously incompetent as a weathered rock could not tell me what was going on outside of «it looks like you services are down». Well duh, thanks CPT Obvious as if a black TV screen and no internet connection wasn’t enough evidence for me to call and let you know. The scheduled a technician to visit in four days. Four days? Really how many technicians do you have you bum? Mind you this is the second technician that has come out to look at our cable/​internet in less than a week. Unacceptable. Given my wife works from home and I am active in the stock market we are screwed. My wife tirelessly called time warner to get them to come and they relented and promised that they would come the next day. We called the day of and they said they didn’t really make that promise and that there was a miscommunication. Terrible service at a terrible price.
Literally 30 seconds after I hang up my wife calls and they reconfirm the appointment for today. Literally right after they said they couldn’t do anything for me. What a joke.

Agree w/​J.M. — TWC is at the bottom of the tv and Internet cesspool. I went to this location. While I waited to be helped, another guy sat doing absolutely nothing. He did ask me how long I had been in the Army. Uh, how about we chit chat while you access my account!
The female said that the ports in the house were already «hot». I was never even offered the option to have a technician come out (would have opted for this in the beginning). After multiple, «help» calls, I finally spoke w/​a human. Then, I was offered a technician to come out for $ 39.99. Yeah, good idea after I have already wasted a ton of time.
Scheduled the technician and after their service «window» time was about to elapse, I called good old TWC to see what the deal was. Oh, right… the technician had «attempted» to contact me. Yeah, right. Funny, how my phone had been working just fine for everything else, BUT TWC.
Finally, have a technician come out and what do you know? Oh yah, this internet and cable was NOT active. So happy that they wasted my time. Sorry customer care from both the Spring Lake office and from the technician contractor. AVOID!

Time warner cable has incredibly bad service. I had a service call call scheduled because my internet is running very slow and they never showed up and said I wasn’t home. What they did do was drive by, give a description of my vehicle in the driveway and cancel my trouble call. My vehicle was there because I was home. I wish they didn’t have a monopoly on fast internet in the area. Horrible customer service.

If you like a group of people who enjoy doing the minimum, then Time Warner Cable is your team. I can’t believe how much time I had to waste just to get my Internet hooked up. First, I took the day off because I was told I needed to be at my house for the Time Warner Internet guy to show up between 0900 – 1000. So I’m waiting there starting at 0845. Come 1045 someone shows up. Or at least I see someone doing something with the wires outside my house from Time Warner. I leave my door open thinking that he will come in to set up my equipment and check if everything is good. NOPE, when he’s done with the outside he just leaves. Okay, so now I’m thinking he just needs to go back to get some equipment or tools or something. At around 1500 nothing happens. I call Time Warner in Spring Lake (I get their answering machine 90% of the time) to ask what’s going on. The lady on the phone tells me that she will check on it, so over an hour later I get a call back and she said they hooked everything up from the outside so I just need to set up the equipment myself.
WTF? Why did I need to take off work then? I could have gone to work and then setup the equipment myself when I got back.
So I setup the equipment (it’s real simple) but I still don’t have any Internet. I called Time Warner in Spring Lake to ask for a number for Internet Tech support. Deborah gives me the wrong number. I call again, but I’m tired of getting the answering machine so I drive there to ask again what the Tech support number is. This time I speak to someone else other than Deborah, and she gives me another number. It turns out that number is wrong too (it brings me straight to a busy signal). OMG, these people are so incompetent. They all need to be fired. So now I do my own research and I find the tech support number online. I basically did their job without getting paid for it.
So I finally get tech support and the guy on the other end has the most basic job. He asks me silly stuff like is it hooked up correctly or tight enough. I’m computer literate, so I say yes, yes, yes to all his questions. He can’t solve it, so he said he needs to send a tech support guy out there to check on it.
Once again, I have to wait this Time Warner guy to show up. At least this guy who shows up is competent in his job. He looks at my equipment and asks me where I want it setup and then does some work with the wires from the outside of my house. He checks on things with my equipment and wala… my Internet is FINALLY UP.
Well, if these people did it right the first time, they would not have had to come back a second time. If the first guy came inside my house (lazy white guy) to check on things to ensure things are working properly they would not have sent someone else over (competent black guy) to fix the first guys mess.
This is basically what I have come to expect from Fayetteville customer service, or better yet, lack of customer service. If you want something done right, you have to take care of it yourself.
