Meh. Burnt coffee and stale baked goods. Also, the hard $ 7 minimum order on credit card transactions seems a bit inhospitable, as does the counter help. The atmosphere is much better than Starbucks, though.

Great Lattes and the staff are really nice. The dark chocolate scone is wonderful but the coffee scone just might have it beat. Overall, best place to grab coffee in north Jersey, lower rockland county. If are near by, worth every penny.

$ 10 minimum on credit cards. Are we in 1997 or something? The place is cute and all, but I’m not a big fan of carried spare change around. I travel for business, so credit cards are a must. Please enter this century.

Puts Starbucks to shame with the quality of coffee. You may have to wait a minute or 2 but well worth the wait!

Passing through and desperate for a little pick me up. Hit my GPS for the nearest Starbucks and I stumbled on this place… Waaaaaaay better than Starbucks! The coffee is rich and slightly nutty with a spice finish. Now, I only drink black coffee not that fancy schmancy stuff — so I don’t know how their frappalatteccino’s are but these people make damned good coffee and serve it with kindness and a smile. You can’t beat that!

Was excited to check this place out, but my experience did not live up to the reviews, mostly because the woman who took care of us was incredibly aggressive and antagonistic. In addition, the place didn’t have a cozy feel, did not have many food options beyond a few pastries, and was very expensive. Paid $ 17 for a latte, a tea, a small ginger cookie, and an olive oil muffin.(Pastry prices aren’t listed, so beware.) The latte was good, the muffin was pretty good(though rich and not worth $ 5), the cookie was flavorful but dry and not worth $ 2, and the tea was okay. Wouldn’t have bothered rating it since I’ve only been once, but I’ve never had that kind of service in a café– it made me want to shirk in a corner, finish quickly, and leave. The pup was adorable, though.

Wow awesome coffee! Read about them last summer and tried an iced coffee. DELICIOUS! They are a bit out if the way but just went and purchased a one pound bag of beans for home since I am a coffee addict & snob. Its up there with Blue Bottle and Stumptown in my book!

I love hidden gems and this is another one. Their coffee, espresso based drinks and their beans are really, really good. It’s like a café in Soho transplanted in Rockland county.

This place is great! When it comes to coffee and cafes, I love finding authentic, homey coffeeshops with fresh baked goods. Out of convenience, I’ll often get my caffeine fix at Starbucks but I am so glad I found American Bulldog Coffee Roasters. I work in Rockland County and although this is a bit out of the way of my commute, I don’t mind at all. Starting the day off with a cup of their fresh brewed coffee is worth the extra drive. The café has an awesome, laid-back vibe. The barista was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a cup of iced coffee, which was strong. You know a cup of coffee is good when you don’t put any sugar and milk in it and it still tastes amazing. I am looking forward to trying some of their blended drinks and baked goods next time. This is the perfect place to start your day. Going into the office every morning just became a little better, thanks to American Bulldog Coffee Roasters.

I am a huge coffee drinker. When drinking coffee, this place is the most authentic coffee shop around. And especially since it’s so close to me it’s an everyday drive for me. Can’t wait to be coming here more often. It’s a nice study spot for those who wanna get some early studying done for school. I ordered the vanilla latte hot. The latte art was wonderfully done. Perfect amount of steamed milk and a very strong espresso taste. Strong coffee drinkers will love this shop. The time to make the drink wasn’t a long wait and the barista was kind and didn’t see me as just another customer. Definitely will be coming back again. The only reason why I give this shop 4 stars, is because of the times the shop is open. I’m usually a night person, so I’d like to have coffee later than 5pm. This place won’t disappoint otherwise!

I am a coffee fan, and snob. I will drink the dunkin and starbucks if I am traveling, or I am in a rush, but I always love to freshly press my own coffee. I have heard about this shop, but I thought it was only in ridgewood, so I haven’t gotten to go try the coffee yet(parking is a pain in the butt) When I saw there was one right over the NY/NJ boarder near me, I decided to go check it out. The moment I walked in I could smell the amazing aroma of freshly roasted beans. The barista was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Not only that when they asked for the grind I wanted, she knew what an aeropress was(best way to make coffee). They also write on the bags the day it was roasted for guaranteed freshness. This coffee is the real deal, and I will be back!!!

The espresso drinks here were the best I’ve had in the area. I live in San Francisco — where there is a roastery like this in nearly every outer neighborhood and a half dozen in spots like the Mission and downtown — and so it was a joy to find a coffeehouse that understands how to craft a proper cappuccino from gently steamed milk and café ristretto. The gal working the café was pleasant and friendly with all the customers. The music added to the relaxed ambiance without being too intrusive or loud. This spot is a true gem in what is otherwise a coffee wasteland. Thanks for practicing the art of good coffee!

This place blows aways Starbucks. Small company but has a large following. Hidden in Chestnut Ridge! They roast their own beans and make the perfect combination blends. The latte is mind blowing good! The small bake goods and snacks they have are so good, I just want to more and more. Friendly owners and fantastic service. Free Wifi here! You won’t regret going here I promise you that!

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. Great coffee and espresso drinks. Good food though limited to some cookies, muffins, biscotti, and some mini quiches made with almond flour(good but slightly odd flavor). Nice local spot with ample parking to hang out, chat and sip some great coffee.

It’s really hard to find a latte of this quality This community is so lucky to have it No problem giving this a 5 plus Great location Great People Great Latte Update Easter Sunday 2016 I have visited both locations on my travels to NY and Bulldog coffee is one of the premier coffee houses in the entire United Staes. All coffee houses are rated by me using the standards of Bulldog coffee

Non-discreet from the street, a cute little coffee shop with about 8 tables within. Rustic, done in white and raw woods, has an eclectic mix of tables and chairs. The far left side has bags off coffee tossed abound. Why? They roast their own coffee! The music played is a international lounge music, which is nice. And the special feature, the big american bulldog… live and in-action. It will come over for a pat, and melt your little heart away. During my couple of hours, I got a Machiatto and a semi-sweet Peppermint Latte. The large piece of lemon biscotti was stale, but still edible for a little piggy. Everything is organic, so that’s cool. Why is it not 5 stars? Beyond a little quiche pie, they don’t serve any food, sandwiches or what not. Bread, cheese, tomato, avocado, and sprouts go a long way in my book.
