The experience alone is worth the trip. Parking can be brutal and the wait time can be long. Expect hearty banter between the staff and patrons, plus an otherworldly large selection of cuts you can’t find at a grocery store. I went to two other places for oxtail which neither had, but Butcher Boys had it whole and cut it to my liking. Throw the boys a tip and you will leave a hero. Squeamish types need not apply.

i always go here… the place is packed. sometimes i have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to get served… so grab a ticket .I have tried bribing the clerk to get ahead of the line.
does NOT work…
these guys have cuts of meat that regular suburban supermarkets don’t have.
like top chuck, chuck steak are HUUUGE., lamb, goat, smoked pork and turkey parts (great for soup), the sausage are really long and whole Oxtail.
these guys will cut your meat how you like it and cut fat off it too.
throwing a party get the hamburger patties here save money.
you can definitely save money here… This is my type of old school butcher shop.

Old school and legit. The vintage sign, location and casual/​friendly environment make Butcher Boys one of the most popular real and old school butchers in Rockland County. Right on rt 59 in the heart of Spring Valley. Good prices. Awesome atmosphere! This place is super cool.
